Please also ensure you are using a Micro SD card designed for use in Dash Cameras. I have just purchased the Navman Mivue840 DC and it doesn't let me know when I am in school zones or approaching a speed camera . When I bought it the Salesman said he has the same one and that this Navman does have that facility, that's why I bought it. Does it have this facility and how do I get it to work?Kerrie W.
Hi Kerrie, Thanks for posting your query. Please note that your device does not have school zone feature. For approaching a speed camera, your device should alert you about this. Since it is not, please check the SafetyCam settings of your device. Please follow the steps below: a. Go to Menu > Settings > Safety Cam. b. For Alert Distant - The system will alert you at a present distance (Short, Medium or Long) when a safety camera is detected c. For the Threshold - Sets the speed value for the dash cam to start offering alerts. d. For the Cruise Speed Alert - Sets the limit for the cruise speed. When you drive at a cruise speed over the set value, you will receive alerts by the dash cam.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team at PCNSupportAus@navman.com.au

Thanks for your help

Hello This is Xand. Actually I recently bought MiVUE840DC and installed it on my car but the problem is dashcam gets disconnected continuously from my iPhone 11 Pro and i have to go to app again and connect again and once i close the app gets disconnected and the disconnection icon comes on the navman LCD. And also Live View doesn’t work on the app. I deleted the Navman pro app many time and install it again and reset the device many time but the problem still happens. Would you please help me about this issue?
Hi Xand, We are sorry to know that you are having problems with your dash cam. For the disconnection problem, please try to enable the Background App Refresh setting on your mobile phone? To do this, go to Settings > General > Background App Refresh. Once done, please try to connect your mobile phone again to your dash cam.
For the Live View feature, it is not compatible with your device. This is due to your device has a screen already to adjust the camera angle. The live view is for other dash cameras with different platform. We apologize for the confusion.

I have just got a navman 840 and I'm finding that in parking mode the LCD screen won't turn off I have to turn it off manually. Is this how it works or should it turn off by its self? If so how do you set it to do so?
Hi Scott G., Thanks for posting your query. If you wish to have the display screen automatically turn off when in parking mode, kindly go to Menu > System > LCD Standby and select 10 Seconds, 1 minute or 3 minutes.
Hope this helps. Otherwise, feel free to contact our support team on PCNSupportAus@navman.com.au
