Form over function – It looks interesting, but there’s no volume control - you have to guess how much water to put through each pod and shut the flow of water off yourself. If you don’t shut it off, your cup will overflow. If you use too much water, your coffee will taste bitter and watery. It wasn’t made clear on the packaging that this model doesn’t have a slider bar to adjust the water volume. Given most of the Nescafé pod varieties have different volume levels indicated on the label, I would have thought this would be a standard feature.

The water tank leaks easily, especially if you move or bump the machine, and the tank tips over easily when not sitting in the cradle eg when you fill it up or if you removed it from the cradle to clean the machine.

There is an extendable cup platform if you are using a smaller cup, but mine broke within the first few weeks of using this machine (it looks like a spring fell out, but I can’t see where to put it back).

Finally, the coffee is not very hot. Fine if you like lukewarm coffee, but otherwise you find yourself having to reheat your coffee in the microwave, which can affect the flavour.

The Nescafe Dolce Gusto Infinissima is a classic case of form over function it might look cool, but it lacks performance.

Purchased for $119.

This machine is the absolute best !!! – This machine is definitely the BEST coffee capsule machine we have purchased ! It is manual but that is not a problem. It is a much better product than the previous Nescafe Dolce Gusto Drop or the Aldi Espressi Machines we have purchased in the past. We purchased this machine from the Good Guys for $55. So cheap compared to a lot of machines on the market now.

Purchased at The Good Guys for $55.

$55 dollars with 24 free coffee pods – It is a cheaper version of the nescafe automatic pod machine. It is manual (so you have to measure the water quantity yourself). Pros: Cheap, ok coffee, takes milk pods so you can have a latte, cappuccino and other coffees without the milk frother. Cons: Nespresso has more pod options including compatible pods from other brands BUT if you want something other than an expresso, be prepared to spend 200+ while this one does the job for $55 and you get 2 cases of free pods.
