Perfect coffee – Why have they stopped it. Best instant coffee ever. Bought supplies from out of the way grocer after they stopped stocking it in the regular outlets in my suburbs and miss it Show details
Why ? – When your on a good thing, why oh heavens why? would you get rid of it! I’m not an instant coffee drinker but this coffee is so good. It’s smooth and light to drink. Actually quite enjoyable. Please Nescafé bring back this Golden coffee back!
Amazing Coffee – I ran out of my usual coffee and had to resort to a sachet my sister had given me of Nescafe Gold Smooth Barista coffee. I was immediately enamoured and couldn't wait to go and buy a jar of this amazing coffee. Imagine my huge disappointment to find that it has been discontinued. I am hoping that it will be produced again in the future.

Why did they change? – What has happened to old Nescafe Gold Smooth barista style coffee? Really enjoyed it and the new replacement one is woeful! Really disappointing. As everyone else mentioned, why change?
Barista style smooth v it’s replacement – Nescafé Barista style smooth was, for me, the perfect in between coffee. Better than an instant and cheaper than buying a coffee machine. It was the best instant coffee I had ever bought. Hands down. Once again though the bean counters ( pun intended) have ruined a perfect brand. What did you do? Hire the people who changed Cadbury’s chocolate?… Read more
Or the genius who changed Arnotts Shapes? Whatever you did I believe you need to fix this ridiculous mistake. One things for sure if you don’t, I’ll not be buying it’s replacement again! I bought it. Tried it. Binned it and went out and bought coffee grounds and put my percolator back to work.
I CANT BELIEVE NESCAFÉ HAS CHANGED THE FORMULA – I LOVED the Barista style smooth and now they have changed its packaging and FORMULA- it’s TERRIBLE now ! The flavour has changed for the worst and the packaging needs to go back to a tin. Big mistake !! Sorry Nescafé you got it so wrong - the only problem with the Barista style was the high price not the formula- it tastes cheap now

WHY WAS THIS DROPPED? – This was by far and away the best instant coffee on the market--no other brand could touch it so why has it been discontinued? I've tried countless others including others by Nescafe but nothing comes close. Show details
Shock , Horror. .....It is Discontinued – You want me to be objective? O K This is objectively the finest instant micro ground coffee that was on the market. My wife would drink nothing else . What is she to do now? It is a good thing we have some for now , but the future is bleak without it. Please bring it back!
My favourite instant coffee... gone! Crazy – I have enjoyed this coffee for ages and am disappointed to see it has been discontinued. I am almost out of my last tin and have no idea what else comes close to this coffee. Help! Show details
Absolutely fabulous coffee – Best coffee I have had in forever. Put all my family and friends on to it. Why would you take away an amazing product. Lost me from Nescafe now - I will go back to tea.
No longer available?? – This became my favourite coffee. Better than the few other brands of mixed blend with beans. Even better than the Moccona I've been drinking most of my life. Bring it back please.
Reminds me of my childhood ... perfect coffee ... why discontinue it? – Real coffee flavour aroma matches the expected taste . Smooth and delicious. Perfect drink to relax.

This coffee was perfect – Nescafe please bring back this coffee I am normally a tea drinker but tasted this coffee it was lovely and now you have discontinued tried the other stuff thinking it was the same. No where near, will go back to tea.
I am devastated – I have only just discovered that Nescafé have discontinued the Barista Smooth instant coffee and I am devastated. This was by far THE best tasting instant coffee on the market. I bought the new Gold original in the big tin thinking it might be similar but unfortunately it tastes like dishwater. Nescafé please consider bringing back your best… Read more
coffee ever. I so enjoyed barista style coffee and without the Nescafé Smooth I am now forced to change brands. I say that having been a loyal Nescafé drinker for over 20 years. A few reviews have recommended Moccona's barista range so I will try that. Bring back the Barista Nescafe!
The best instant coffe – The Nescafé Gold Barista Style smooth was the very best instant coffee I have ever tasted and I am at a complete loss to understand why it has been discontinued. Please bring it back.
Barista Smooth, where is it!! The only good Coffee on the market!! GONE! – Hi I was not a big Coffee drinker but found and LOVED barista Smooth.. Why would this be removed as it was your BEST product. Nothing else like it. That new jar stuff is absolute rubbish compared to the tin of Smooth. Very very disappointed. I would like to see it back!
Better than $3.50 cap - now gone?? – Googled 'Nescafe Barista Style' as couldn't be located anywhere only to see this review site to find, to my disappointment, that it's discontinued. Just tried 'Intense Gold' but no where near as good.
Best Instant Ever – This was the best coffee. However, it was shortlived. Why would Nescafe change or discontinue this. It is so frustrating and enough to abandon Nescafe. New replacement tastes like rubbish.
Disappointing this product has been discontinued – Very disappointed like all before me. !!!! The Nescafé Gold smooth in jar is incomparable to the one in tin! Shall be switching to Moccona Barista Style!
Loved it whilst it lasted! – Why Nescafé when you’re on a good thing do you decide to discontinue Nescafé Gold smooth Barista in the tin! Just doesn’t make sense! The Nescafé Gold smooth in jar is incomparable to the one in tin! Shall be switching to Moccona Barista Style!
So disappointed – Discovered the Smooth barista style a year or so ago - best instant ever. After searching various supermarkets, and not finding it anywhere, have now realised it's no longer available. The replacement Gold in a jar is nothing like it. Bring the Tin Back!

What were you thinking Nescafe?? – I agree wholeheartedly with everyone else. Nescafe have made a BIG mistake in discontinuing the Barista Style range. The smooth was the best coffee I can recall buying so of course Nescafe killed it off for a poor poor alternative. I tried the new Gold #3 expecting similar but they forgot to leave in any flavour. What a waste of money that was.… Read more
Please, Nescafe, bring back the Gold BARISTA style. You are losing a lot of customers over this debacle.
Very disappointed in Nescafe. Won't drink Nescafe again – This was by far the best Instant coffee on the market. Shame on you Nescafe for discontinuing it. Everytime i gave a friend or work colleague a cup of this outstanding coffee they would buy a tin for themselves. Nescafe what were you thinking taking it off the market. Did you do a survey obviously not otherwise we would still be enjoying this… Read more
gem of a coffee. Your new Gold product does not compare and I or the many people who drank the Barista Style coffee that I recommended will not drink your replacement Nescafe brand. Big mistake Nescafe. I'm very disappointed in you.
Why oh why is this gone Nescafe? – I am so so very disappointed to find that I can't buy this coffee anymore. It was the best tasting instant coffee by a long shot. Why change the blend to a cheap tasting, hideous sludge? Why? For profit? That is the only reason I could think of for changing a perfectly good coffee. Bring it back immediately!!!!
Why did Nescafe change & delete a perfectly good coffee? 5 star rating was for this coffee and not – I bought a jar(can) of this coffee when it was first released and instantly I was hooked. Coffee that actually tasted like coffee! Even my hubby enjoyed it. So why did Nescafe delete this and "try" to make us think that with new packaging and similar advertising that their replacement would taste anything like Nescafe Gold Barista Style (smooth)… Read more
coffee. Tastes disgusting - hey even the lady in Woolworths who was promoting this coffee was not impressed. I rest my case
Don't like it – I really used to enjoy the gold barista "smooth" what have you done have tried 2 of the coffee in the glass jars. I used to have a big cup first thing in the morning because I don't drink coffee at work. Where has the smoothness and creaminess gone. Why change something that was perfect I will not be buying it again.
What happened and why has it gone – My husband and I loved loved loved this coffee. In fact he started drinking coffee again after many years because of it. Now it’s gone and we are struggling to find another product to replace it. The replacement Nescafé is awful. Why was it taken away? We have both been robbed of the enjoyment we used to have. We desperately want it back.
I wont drink anything else! Why discontinue perfection! – Why discontinue this smooth barista style? Everyone who has coffee at our house loves it and now buy it. Now it has gone! Im drinking tea!! Please bring it back! The new version tastes terrible.
The can of Nescafé Barista Smooth advertised above was perfect, they have now changed packaging & fo – New product which is now in gold jar is very disappointing (weak & lacks the body the old formula had) I messaged Nescafe some months ago when I purchased the trusted familiar Nescafe Barista Smooth with a sticker on lid stating (new & improved product coming), I was informed the formula would remain the same but I beg to differ (weak & lacking creamy body) My answer "Why change something that's already perfect ?" No Answer from Nescafé !!!!
