Very disappointed in this frother way overpriced, froths well but everytime I want to froth the milk for a Cappuccino it doesn't matter how much milk you put in it overflows everytime and the lid lifts up and the froth runs out making a terrible mess. It doesn't even heat up enough as I have to turn it off and end up heating my coffee in the… Read more
Microwave. Making a Latte is okay but definitely not for a Cappuccino and I did not buy it to just make a Latte. Very disappointing Nespresso my Frother is brand new complete waste of $109.00 would definitely not recommend.
I have had trouble with the pods getting stuck and the handle has jammed once because of this. Where the pod goes is totally dark and I can’t see exactly where to put the pod. It has to go in vertically and end up horizontally in the correct… Read more
position so it gets pierced. I do wear glasses for reading. I have solved this problem by shining a bright torch into the top opening. The milk frother has worked well except for one occasion. When everything works the cappuccino is excellent, equal to that bought from a cafe. The milk frother really froths any type of milk.
Follow-up · 5 stars for the milk frother. It produces an excellent froth. My review was for the pod machine which ended up here in the wrong category. I have been shining a torch into the pod opening to show where to place the pod. I have not lost a pod since. 5 stars for the De’Longhi pod machine as well. The cappuccinos are so good it is hard to stop at one.
Fantastic Product – The great thing about this product is that it frothes the milk well & also heats the milk well. I am going to replace my delonghi dedica espresso coffee machine with a Nespresso capsule machine & a frother set for Only $99. Also avoid the rubbish ALDI capsule machines & frother set all together & get the Nespresso set instead. Also avoid the Espressotoria capsule machine because it's not compatible with the Nespresso coffee machines.
Stopped working after 2 months – This frother came with my Nespresso machine. It would barista almond milk perfectly at the start but stopped by 2 months. Now it’s just hot milk. Show details
Not worth the money – It froths the milk nicely, though unable to control temperature, and I prefer it warmer. Leaves burnt marks at the bottom and unable to be removed. Stopped working after 12 months. Bought a second one, and the same thing happened. Bought a Sunbeam, also a great frother but able to control temperature and doesn't leave burnt marks on the bottom even when set on the highest temperature. Show details
It's a ZERO star – This Aeroccino does not last more than 1 year. We've had 3 replacements and they all died within 1 year. I don't know if it's the type of milk we use (Soy and Dairy), or some have said it's a fuse issue. But it's a definite do NOT buy unless you want to waste money. Show details
Total robbish – Bought new, worked only for 1 week. Got replaced with a new one which worked only for 1 day. Goodbye Show details
Enough is Enough! – I have purchased several of these units over the years, plus two replacement lids after dropping them and cracking them… which was really good to know I could. Anyway, each machine seems to last only a year or so. Initially the froth is excellent, then it becomes pot luck after a few months whether I got any froth or none at all. Eventually I just… Read more
get none at all even though I always use full milk! I have also thrown out two of the units because of the “sticking” on the bottom which cannot be cleaned of. I keep my units very clean after each use, so am very surprised by this. I did research and also followed a couple of troubleshooting tips on cleaning the male contact point on the base and the female contact on the frothing unit, but this made no difference at at all. So, once again, because of no froth at all, I am now at the point of having to purchase another milk frother! However, this time I am looking into buying a different brand as this has just become to expensive to keep buying the same units over and over and hoping for the best!
Just a follow up! After writing this review I purchased a Lavazza “A Modo Mio” milk frother. Very… Read more
Not The Most Useless Appliance I have Bought, But Close – This came with my Vertuo machine as part of a package. Before I begin, Nespresso Vertuo is designed for larger coffees, YES? This can not froth more than about 80mls of milk at a time without milk flowing out of the top all over my counter top. WHY, would you not make the frother larger when it comes with a machine that is designed for making larger coffees? It makes absolutely ZERO sense. Show details

Doesn’t last 12mths – We have had two of these frothers and both died on us under 12 months. Don’t waste your money go and buy another brand. Apparently a fuse blows in them inside. Show details
Died after first use – Made two cups twenty minutes later wouldn't turn on no power. Seems there is a fuse that burns out with no second chances. To my knowledge I didn't do anything that would have caused it. Show details
Good but has downfalls – I've been using mine for over a year and it is still in tip top condition. It needs to be cleaned after every milk froth use, gently, so as not to scrape the non stick off. I usually put a bit of warm water and dishwashing liquid in mine after use and come back and clean it later. Apart from that, it doesn't have a large enough capacity - I want… Read more
to heat up/froth more milk! It also does not heat milk up that hot. It's good for what it is but don't be mistaken about its abilities if you are a big milk drinker.
Hint to preserve your frother – Have had several of these - after a while they start catching in the bottom and become difficult to clean. I have discovered that if I leave cold water in the bottom of it after cleaning it makes an amazing difference- just throw it out before adding your milk- works a treat and it just rises clean easily after use. over spill – the first time i got it and used it it.. it frothed over also no operating instructions does not heat milk enough either do not recommend this product at all Show details
Foams over the top every time – No matter how little milk is put in, it froths over the top of the machine and spills on the counter. When customer service was contacted they wanted to charge $95.00 to fix a defective machine that has not worked since day one.
Great Machine WHEN working - Common Fault of Fuse blowing – Sadly as much as I love this milk frother, its becoming a regular and costly exercise in buying one just about every 12 mths or less. Always buring out. A very well known and documented fault, the heat fuse within is not coping with the constant heating and blows. Show details
Perfect froth every time! – Bought a nespresso frother to go with my new coffee machine. I'm a big cappuccino person and aeroccino makes perfect froth! It's so frothy that I can turn the frother upside down and it won't spill. Tried warming option for flat white and it works great too. Only downside of it is it's too small for me as it makes only one cup portion and I make… Read more
double shot of espresso for my coffee. Other than that I'm very happy with my frother. It's been only a few weeks of using and it seems that others noted problems with its durability...
Great item – Use this for milk to go with coffee from an Aeropress. Temperature is good and milk texture is good. It is very easy to clean and requires a wipe from the soft side of the sponge. I have been using this with a range of fresh milks and found it to be fairly consistent. It works as per the manual. Show details
Rubbish – Don't waste your money and don't buy from Nespresso! My frother is only 5 weeks old and has stopped frothing! Nespresso won't replace it or refund it! It is under warranty and they said that because it spins and heats it is still working! This product has been advertised as a 'frother' not a milk heater, so they have advertised falsely. bought it to froth milk which it doesn't do consistently. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. They said it has to do with the fat content in the milk. I have tried several different milks and it still works sometimes and other times not. It is total garbage, so please don't waste your money. I'm so annoyed by their lack of assistance that I'm going to buy a new coffee machine that does not use nespresso pods so that I don't have to buy anything from them again. They don't deserve my business or my hard earned cash.
What a load of Rubbish! Don't buy a Nespresso Aeroccino 3 Frother – Nearly $100 to last only 2 years (1 month out of warranty), not happy, base ok but frother body just stopped working. Invest in another brand, cheap Chinese junk. Was offered $30 to put towards the same model, declined. Not worth it. After reading other comments, Nespresso should invest in another brand. Great milk frother – Heats and froths milk well. Easy to clean (but i suspect might be more difficult if non stick coating damaged.) It also has cold milk frother although froth doesn't last long on low fat milk. Came with pod machine. Quite good.
Don't use the capuccino froth whisk – Lasted about 1.5 years, towards the end of its life the milk started to burn on the bottom of the container. Couldn't scrub it off, but it didn't appear to affect the taste. Good, smooth frothy milk using the slimmer of the two included whisks. Don't fill up to the max line, it will still overfroth and go everywhere. Especially don't use the… Read more
capuccino frother, that just gives you a container full of bubbly milk fluff. Didn't last long enough for the price so I'm looking at other cheaper brands.

easy to use, good milk forth – quite easy to use and clean, can save a lot of time; can create either cold or hot milk on selection; however, if the milk amount reach the maximum line, it will leak terribly when operated. the cap can't seal perfectly. so recommend to make one cup of milk at each time. Very short life - terrible value for money – So it was great when I first got it. Lovely hot milk with froth. Then, as is always the case with gadgets these days, the frother just decided to stop working. The unit, for a whopping A$100 lasted less than one year. Terrible value for money considering I paid extra so it wouldn't cark it so soon. The next one I buy will be anything but the Nespresso. Show details
Better than a coffee shop – This is a great little device for the kitchen that creates coffee shop grade milk within seconds. We use it on the daily and as long it is cleaned immediately after use (just a quick rinse with water) it has lasted us for a few years and still looks and acts like brand new. Would highly recommend for coffee shop grade milk. Show details
Shocking, Hate It – I purchased this recently, and have used it once, that was enough. With the standard stirrer, you get a cupful of milk, with no froth, with the wire stirrer, you can only put in a very small amount of milk (or it will overflow) so not enough milk for average cup of cappucino. I have another brand, and it does froth with the standard stirrer, so I get froth and quantity. Show details
Excellent Nespresso Milk Frother – I have tried other brands but they all had other problems Nespresso Aeroccino is an excellent device good Quality well made. I bought the white version and haven’t had a single problem. The machine is quick frothing milk just with a push of the button. Highly Recommend this machine. Don’t bother with cheaper versions they are or will be a waste of money and simply won’t last as I have found. Show details
Nespresso Milk Frother Reliable – We bought the frother from Nespresso in Nov 2011, and it just died. It was great for most of that time, but milk started to stick and burn on base, probably the last year or two, but it still worked well. I called Nespresso and they gave me a $20 discount of a new one and sent it out. Very efficient and pleasant service. We bought another in the hope it will last as long or longer than the last one.
