Great formula – I fed my 3 kids Lactogen from babyhood and they are all doing well. They are all over 50, so Lactogen has been around for ever. I would recommend it. Show details
Good but causing constipation – My new born baby boy is ok with loctogen 1, but only problem it is causing him constipation. He feel hungry after each and every 30 minutes, not sure it is good for him or not. Moreover he keeps crying most of the time... Show details
This is the worst product for baby or infants – My doctor suggested Lactogen for my baby and told me my baby would start accepting the formula after 2-3 weeks. But my baby kept getting cholic in every 3-4 days. Then I shifted to Similac not only did my baby's cholic douse down but her er tolerance was much better and she started growing before her milestones.

Decent Formula, Highly Recommended – I have a 12 weeks old boy - he was on S26 at first but he never seem to settle with S26, he had bad gas and he would vomit / reflux at least 4 times after every feed. I switched him to Novalac, his gas and reflux decreased but it gave him constipation. Our GP recommended NAN Comfort, I was hesitant at first since the formula is by Nestle but after… Read more
two to three days of giving him NAN, we noticed the difference. He does not reflux much and he does not pass gas as often as he did with S26. My baby poops regularly, his poop is soft, mostly yellowish in color (sometimes, yellow green). It has probiotic L.Reuteri. I was told by a nurse that NAN comfort is designed to be digested slowly so that babies would sleep longer and she was correct, after days of being on this formula, my baby sleeps longer especially during late afternoon, early evening and night. He used to feed every 2 to 3 hours with his previous formula but with NAN Comfort, he would feed every 4 hours, sometimes 5 during the night (this was when he was younger - before he was 10 weeks old but now that he is a growing boy and I think he has adjusted his body clock to work like us adults, he would feed every 2 1/2 hours - 3 hours during the day and every 4 - 5 hours during the night). He also feels sleepy after having NAN compared to his other formula or maybe that is only because he is older now than when he was on S26? Who knows, I am just happy that I get some sleep during the night and peace during the day. It is a bit thick though. You can buy this at selected Woolworths branch, it was on special 2 weeks ago, instead of 18.99 at Woolworths, it was only 13.99 so we bought 6 cans, we should have gotten more. Cheaper than most formulas, $18.99 per 800 g at Chemist Warehouse, Woolworths - if you are lucky, it is sometimes on special at Woolworths at 13.99 per can! Not available at Coles
Amazing formula - such a shame Nestle is discountinuing it! – Had to change a couple of formulas for my bub as they were not agreeing with her and her silent reflux until I came across Lactogen. I wanted something basic, not a 'Gold' formula and I decided to try this out. Best choice ever! The formula tastes nice, does not smell of chemicals and my daughter loved it straight away. It is whey dominant and it… Read more
dissolves without a problem in both cool and warm water, no froth, it's ver gentle on tummy. Bub had no wind issues and it contains L. Reuteri, a very good probiotic that is also found in breast milk (and it has been proven to help colicky babies a lot). Because it's not a 'Gold' formula, it does not have any DHA and ARAs (Omega 3 and 6) in it but it is actually a good thing because I don't really like the way they are sourced before they go in baby formula and they seem to be the reason why many babies have tummy issues. My daughter is definitely thriving and her development is perfectly on track. Another great thing about this formula is the price - just over $13 from BIG W and Woolworths! I never really cared about formula price as long as it is suitable for my baby, but in this case, expensive is not necessarily the best option. Such a BIG shame that this formula just got discontinued in September. Fortunately my daughter is almost 8 months old and she has been on it for the past 5 months, so it's not a big deal anymore, but I wonder why they are not producing anymore such a fantastic product. Everything! Taste, easy to mix, inexpensive, quality, probiotic L. Reuteri, easy to digest It has been discountinued!!! :(
Best formula on the market by far! – My baby is mixed fed and was on Karicare and I found it fine at the start, although strained to poo, and was constipated which I had to offset with banana at breakfast, which newborns can't do, then bought Heinz nurture by accident and was fine for a week or so, then started to get constipated and would spit up the water part of his bottle, which… Read more
worried me as this would constipate him more, he also started waking up every 3 hours at night starving. I tried lactogen as a last resort and could not believe the difference in my 6 month old baby boy in just 12 hours! He did 3 poo's the next day and now poo's once a day and it is soft and no strain at all! He sleeps twice a day now for 2 hours too which he didn't do before and is back to only waking once at night to which he is solely breastfed. I'm really disappointed that this formula is being discontinued and I am currently running around the shops stocking up. So cheap too! The best formula on the market. Gentle on tummies and no constipation The tiny scoop

LACTOGEN IS PERFECT FOR BABIES – My 5 (now adult) kids, were all raised on Lactogen. I breast fed for 5/6 months then they went straight on to Lactogen. They never had any of the problems that today's babies seem to have. They were all happy and received glowing results whenever I took them for their monthly check ups. No problems during the night, slept throughout the night… Read more
because they were satisfied. I recommend Lactogen to any new Mother's who are bottle feeding their babies.
Best fo baby – When I took my budle of joy home after the first four nights I had no milk. His dad went to the store and bought lactogen and we have never looked back he tolerates its well. No colic, no constipation. My breast milk supply improved and I only had to give this formula 2 times each day, I give him a little water before giving the feed. Now I'm… Read more
back at work and that's what the takes during the days. He's now 8 months old on lactogen 6-12 months and doing great.
No collic – Hey My son is now 8 months and is currently on Lactogen 2. He continues to tolerate this amazing formula. He has no collic, very few to almost no spit ups, he has normal bowel action (at least twice daily) and frequent urination. I just can't complain. Plus, the price is great!

This constipates my nephew – I am very disappointed in this product as it constipates my nephew ..he sometimes trows up while going off because he have to force too much ..i hate seeing babyboy like this
Stage 2 not good at all! – I was heartbroken and disappointed as i had to bottle feed due to complications arising from a c section otherwise I wont have given formula the time of day. Compared to other products where one scoop is added for every two oz, On the can it says 1 scoop to 1 oz of water, furthermore, incorrect dilution can make baby ill. Well, dear Nestle I… Read more
followed your instructions and my baby is now constipated. When she has to go, it is with pain and discomfort. I give her water, fruits and juice. Glad you discontinued this product. rest assured, I wont even give her nestum. better to buy fresh fruits and veggies for your baby.
Worked better than other nestle formulas BUT – Even though this helped with her tummy problems she developed a horrible rash all over. I didnt know until I found out they are disconntinuing & changed formulas. I was going crazy thinking she had developed ezcema. Infact ALL the Nestle products gave her a rash looking back as I tried Pro & HA Gold. It did help with upset tummy Gave my daughter bad rash

Lactogen is back!! – Hey lactogen is back under the new Name nan comfort . I saw it in chemist warehouse and the tin looks the same as the nan lactogen one that they recently discontinued !! I called the nan hotline to enquirer and I was right it is pretty much the same formula . Same ratio of whey to casein and same probiotic and good for colicky babies !! My bub… Read more

I am so glad they bought it back as its an awesome formula and according to my mum it's the one I was on when I was a baby in the 80 s !!! Bring back lactogen – I just had my 4th baby 6 weeks early i went to buy lactogen as all other children had no problems with this formula to find it was no longer on shelves. i have had nothing but problems with formula for my new baby i think it is the best formula out there How it agrees with most children, price
Lactogen was great – This was the best formula ever. No reflux for all my babies, tasted close to real milk and smelt okay as well. And the poo was close to breast milk as well. My three oldest were raised on this formula after breast. My fourth child didn't get to have it for long and the NAN just doesn't agree with her. Bring it back Nestle - so sad future babies cant have it! No wind, okay poos, inexpensive It isn't been made any more
The best formula for my toddler! – I have using this formula since my bub discontinuing breast feeding. Its good for him and enjoy his digestion. every bub may differ than others so dont be depend by one product. But I suggest you to try this product at the first and you'll never regret. Love this nestle! Easy to get, cheap than others, and makes my bub feeling great all the time. Show 3 replies
Aamazing – I have been giving it to my babies from birth. Lactogen present in it help my babies in their growth and food digestion .I love the easy scoop option, it make it easy for me to feed babies using the scoop. I would recommend all mothers to try it atleast once
Makes a dads life easy – My father told me he used Lactogen on my youngest sister and it was great. I've been using it on my baby boy since 6 months old, when mother went back to work and it was my shift. When you don’t have any dramas for a year, people tend to think you’re a great dad ;) Thank you Lactogen, too bad this is the last year. Cheapest & Tastiest They will stop selling Lactogen at the end of this year 2012
Loved it – I've been using this for my 6 month old son since birth along with breast feeding and then alone it is great my son never had colic or reflux I was hoping to be able to use it untill he is 12 months and for future babies so disappointed it's being discontinued its a great product and great value for money smells and tastes great not like a lot of… Read more · 5
other formulas now I have to find a substitute so disappointed :( Great price, taste, easy on bubs stomach, birth-12months
highly recommend, excellent, gentle, and fairly priced product – Excellent formula, the one i would most recommend for young babies (under 6 months). i have tried s26 original, s26 gold, nan ha (old and new) and found lactogen by far the best out of these, it is very gentle on new babies tummies, no wind/constipation issues, bub has less reflux and it seems less painful reflux and lovely small light brown… Read more · 1
coloured poo that does not have a very offensive smell. he is thriving and loves the taste. to top it off it is very cheap compared to other formulas. i cant fault lactogen and i find it baffling that they are discontinuing it and keeping the rubbish new nan ha gold formula! get it quick if you want to try it for your bub and stock up! only technical downside is that it doesnt have omega3 oils for brain development in it, however i found that the 'gold' formulas which have this in it upset my newborns sensitive stomach so i will wait until he is over 6 months and reintroduce him to a gold formula. i personally see this lack of omega3 oils as a plus side since i think bubs tummy is too immature to handle it yet. great great product. cheap, gentle on tummies, less wind, no constipation, less reflux, nice taste, thriving baby. no omega3 oils for brain development, being discontinued
So far so good... but being discontinued! :( – After reading everyone else's reviews, I decided to try Lactogen after my son of 5 weeks has been suffering from painful wind and constipation. So far on the Lactogen, he has been very comfortable and has been going longer between feeds. But its being discontinued as of September 2012 according to the website! :( Boo!!! Stock up while you can ladies! Inexpensive, pleasant smelling, less wind Show reply

Excellent – Cheap trusted product might taste bad but babies seam to like it. Good once you make sure it is shaken propley. Cheap , babies had no problems with it. Might be old as the hills but is a trusted brand. If you don't use warm water to mix it the formula can always form lumps so have to shake very well. Show reply
Great Product!!! – When my breast milk dried up we went searching for a formula that wouldn't give bub an upset stomach. We started on Karicare infant formula which was fine for a while. Then bub started to bring more and more up which made me thing maybe it was giving him reflux. It was also a fairly thick formula. So then we went out and got lactogen and have had… Read more · 2
no problems since. My hungry lil' boy drinks it all to the last drop and burps easily bring little to none up. He is also sleeping much better on this formula. I just had my first full nights sleep at 9 weeks. +++++
my only question is that the measurements only go to 6 months... can you use it till they are a year old?? Great price, easy to understand instructions No follow on formula :(
very happy bub & mum!!! – After breastfeeding for 5 months i wanted something gentle on the tummy, pleasant for bubs to drink yet reasonably priced and made by a well known brand. I thought my expectations were too high but i was wrong. I would most defiantly recommend this to family, friends and everyone else!! Little miss took to it straight away, is easy to burp… Read more

If you are thinking about putting your bubs on formula you should try this, you wont look back!! Bubs loved it, gentle on tummy, affordable, easy to use level spoon, pleasant smell No follow on formula, You do have to shake it quite well.
WHY so cheap? – Have a (silent)reflux baby (so heartburn, not a chucker much.) I was looking for something gentle to my 10 week olds tummy. This formula has actually been adapted and improved over the years - but is rarely advertised?! Have tried Nan HA 1 (gold and silver) and Novalac reflux. I'm now trying this one and little one has been on it for a few days. … Read more
He drinks the WHOLE bottle now, is more satisfied, therefore less bottles (as he was "snacking" before, leaving half a bottle etc.
He also is finally sleeping 4 hours at a time at night rather than 2 1/2 to 3.
Love this product. GREAT price, can buy 2 cans for the price of what i was paying for before, for something my son likes better?!
Great frm birth – I started my bub on s26 at 5 days old and she became very unsettled and cried non stop.. within 1 week i changed to lactogen and from the second day she returned to a happy content baby.. now 5 months old and going strong. Cost.. happy baby Hard to buy only 1 supermarket has it and always sells out
The formula that saved us! – After trying a number of formulas (eg Nan HA, S26 and Novalac (Colic and Reflux) this formula was definitely the winner. My daughter is a windy/reflux baby and on this formula she no longer had periods uncontrollable crying and burped a lot easier. We started our daughter on this formula from 6 weeks, but I wish I had found it sooner. Lactogen… Read more · 1
doesn't leave the hard to clean residue in the bottle and is cheaper than the other formulas, which are also big pluses. Cheap, easy on bub's digestive system and readily available from the supermarket.
Great product used for whole first year – I used nestle lactogen for my DS from 6 weeks to 12 months. My mum recommended it, as it is what she had me on as a baby, she had 8 children and used it for all of us. I never had any issues with upset stomachs or reflux. The ingredients are comparable with other brands. Great price, I found it cheapest at good price pharmacy where it is always around $13 Price, never had any issues Show reply
Excellent – I love this formula. I have never seen it advertised before but I saw it at the shops and knew the Nestlé brand and the price was right so I thought I would give it a go. My baby loves it and we have never had any issues with constipation like some other brands. Cheap, well known brand.

Excellent – Fanfairytastic. I was wondering if my 8 month old would take to it. S26 Gold had given him reflux - as it did all my boys, and I had used SMA to fill up because he was such a hungry boy. My 8 month old adores this formula. Never leaves a drop in the bottle...unlike SMA The price. I usually buy SMA and only once a fortnight so was desperate. … Read more
Lactogen is an OLD brand - my 34 year old sister had it as a baby. It TASTES like I remember. I never considered it before because my boys were very hungry babies or had reflux. Only thing that is annoying is the tiny little serving spoon. I feel like I'm at a tea party.
OK – i started my son on lactogen when he was four weeks old.it took a while for him to get used to it and the bottle. all was going well for a while until it was getting hard to bring up his wind and he wasnt pooing as often as i liked. i had a feeling that the milk was getting harder for him to digest. next thing you know two days in a row he was… Read more

Excellent – I started my youngest baby on this formula when she was 3 months old and I have been using it ever since.
