I’ve used Nan comfort for all 3x kids. 1 with colic and another with reflux. After having constipation on mummamoo, Karicare, Aptimal and Bellamy’s organic, Nan was the most gentle on their tummies. My reflux baby ended up needing medication as well but in terms of digestion and their poo, Nan comfort is the closest I found to breastmilk. We also… Read more

tried novalac constipation but felt this doesn’t fill Bub up as much! Sharing because I feel like Nan comfort is a great formula to start on! Can go from there if it doesn’t work for you.

Not our traditional toddler milk but thought we’d give a lower price point a go. Child was happy with taste and it did not cause any tummy issues. Doseage slightly different to what I was used to but overall pretty happy Show details

I was sent a trial of Nan Comfort for my grandson aged 2. I tried to give it to him several times and tried different mixes both with water and milk and mixed with a chocolate drink. He would take a few sips but did not want to drink much of it.it is very easy to prepare but I think he just did not like the taste. Show details

Unfortunately my toddler only drank 50ml out of 150ml. He didn’t really like it and was slow to drink it. No side effects. Product was easy to prepared. Show details

My toddler loves it! – My daughter love it the moment I let her taste it, she finished her whole bottle. After having few bottles , she never had an allergy, unlike the last time we tried different brand (soy content). Easy to prepare and consise instructions. The of the things that I am looking for formula is fiber content, as my toddler is fussy from eating veggies and limited fruits intake. Otherwise, will consider buying it again. Show details

New recipe causes bad rashes – My 3mth old has been on Nan Optipro 1 since with no problems but since the new recipe has come out we went through a couple of weeks of runny poo & tummy pains, so bad they kept waking him up & in the last 3 days terrible face rashes. He had perfect skin until now. Why fix something that wasn't broken Nan? This stuff is terrible & should be taken off the shelves. Show details

New recipe is terrible – My 3 month old was going very well on the previous Naan Comfort 1 recipe. Since starting the new recipe she has not wanted to drink it, had runny poo, has been crying with tummy pain and not sleeping as well. She has also developed an allergic rash all over her body which comes and goes, similar to dermatitis since starting it, she had perfect skin prior to starting this. Why the change to the new formula?!  Show details

My child has no issues with the formula. We made the milk every day and tested it to make sure there is no constipation and other related symptoms. It is well liked indeed. Show details

Happy baby – We tried this formula for mix feeding on recommendation from a hospital lactation consultant. Our baby had terrible gas and discomfort on another formula brand which was immediately resolved with this switch. A much happier and quieter baby, highly recommend for anyone switching to formula. Show details

Easy to use, easy transition – My child transitioned from another brand to this one happily without any issues. We've gone through half a tin so far without any side effects or reactions. It was easy to prepare without any lumps. Show details

We were originally using a different formula before we tried Nan in hopes to improve our baby's reflux. We used this formula for 2 weeks (our baby was 5 - 6 weeks old) and noticed that conditions were worsened. PRO: - formula mixed really easily and dissolved quickly - affordable, and is always stocked CON: - reflux were watery and came up… Read more

easily and more often - developed rashes/ red dots on her face, neck and chest , this was not present prior to using this formula - stool was more loose and mucus like .. We noticed that this formula/ water ratio is more watery compared to aptimal gold and a2 platinum.

Umfortunately this formula was not compatible with our baby and we changed formulas after our first tin. This was just our experience.

This formula should be banned , my newborn was so happy with motherfeed but wanted extra so we bought this formula, it made him immediately gassy, fuzzy all red faced for straight 2 weeks and we didnt realise that this is because of this formula, last two days he is only on mother feed and he is the happiest boy... we didnt realise until we gave… Read more

This product should be banned. As per what others have said, my newborn also had severe reflux and was screaming in pain non stop for the first 5 weeks of her life. I even went to emergency in hospital as she kept throwing up and screaming, she was cleared to go home after hours of scans on her tummy. She never slept more than 2 hours as she was… Read more

gassy, vomiting and really sick all night and day, I was so exhausted from no sleep and her wanting me to constantly comfort her. The formula is thin as well. She spat up crystallised chunks of it too. My auntie noticed she had a hard tummy, the formula made her so constipated she only pooed once a week. My auntie said change to s26 as she had the same experience with nan with her babies. S26 is now alula. So we changed to alula gold which has omegas in it for brain health and is thicker formula. Immediately my baby stopped crying, pooed daily and sleeps 6-7 hours at night and no more crying. I wish I hadn't made my daughter drink this horrific disgusting stuff for 5 weeks of her life. Should be banned from shelves.

Sore tummy – I was exclusively breast-feeding up until the 4 month mark when I decided to introduce formula at first with breastmilk and one formula bottle a day. Bub wasn’t showing any signs of discomfort so by the time she hit 4.5 months I had fully switched to nan comfort 1 she is now 5 months and I’m seeing she is having trouble bringing up wind and has a… Read more

sore tummy where she is beginning to refuse the bottle all together. She has also been spitting up a lot even an hour after feeding. I’m upset as I used this formula 6 yrs ago and had no problems. Hoping a new formula solves our tummy problems

New recipe doesn’t suit us – The new formula (released approx OCT/NOV 2024) does not work for us. Since the change, my baby has been suffering from reflux and having heavy and frequent spit ups. Settles to sleep then will sick in his bassinet (never happened previously). Nothing else has changed that would cause this. Have returned the unopened tins and switched brands.… Read more

Really disappointing as my two older children both used this formula as infants and we had no issues, and obviously had no issues this time until the recipe change.

Bad for digestion, gives constant upset stomach – Oh dear, o feel terrible for my child. I had her on Nan Comfort for 4 weeks since delivery and discharge from hospital. I thought constant crying and being in extreme pain and getting red and upset constantly was normal and part of development. I watched her closely and gathered she gets a lot of reflux and blocked nose and again constantly… Read more

Makes babies sick – A $250 trip to emergency today because our baby stopped drinking. We were worried that she was coming down with an illness. They told us there was physically nothing wrong with our daughter. She refused nan supreme and nan comfort. She would drink and then start crying hysterically. We came home and she had diarrhoea. And was passing gas and… Read more

crying in pain. It had occurred to us that it's the formula making our daughter feel unwell. We rushed out and bought apramil sensitive and right away she took a liking to it. And after reading the other reviews on here people seem to be having the same problem. Now we will stop giving it to her twin sister who is also passing a large amount of gas and vomiting up her feed.

Highly disappointing – We used this formula with my first baby 4.5 years ago without issues so we went for the same one for my now 6 month old. He’s had problems with acidic poos, sore tummy, sore face as if his skin was being burnt and we couldn’t work out the issue. Drs kept saying it was just drool rash which it wasn’t as it was creeping up his face under his eyes.… Read more

We switched to another brand and within a few days his skin was clear, normal bowel movements and is a much happier more content baby with less feeds. It took a good week or so for the awful acidic nappy rash to clear. He also had recurring bronchiolitis, approx 5 times in his 5 months of life with extremely crackly breathing since changing formula this has also cleared and not returned which I don’t feel is a coincidence. I’m so disappointed that so many other parents have said the same about the difference in their first baby being fine with the old recipe and their next baby struggling. When I look back at photos of my poor babies burnt face and bottom this stuff should be taken off the shelves!

Made my boy quite sick – My 3 month always had a bit of difficulty easily digesting cows milk so we tried this based off the feedback many friends and families gave me about how gentle it is etc. We noticed from day1 he was a bit more unsettled but we thought he was just getting used to it, by day 3 he hit a 37.9 temperature. We weren’t sure what was causing it but we… Read more

have never seen him in so much pain. By day 5 we were so done with nan comfort cos our boy was getting worse and started to refuse the bottle almost knowing it would cause him pain. I jumped online and was surprised to see many stories about their babies having issues on this formula and the recipe being changed. I guess it may work for some but it seemed like a horrible formula for my boy. We switched him to Oli6 which is from Goats milk and he is now eating double of what he was on Nan and is so happy and having 0 effects from the new formula. It took a few days for his tummy to settle from the NAN so it seemed to have a negative effect effect on him even after stopping it. Thankfully a few days later he has recovered. I personally would not recommend this formula

My first son ended up having really bad eczema and cleared when he was 2-3 as he was no longer in nan comfort I was doing everything to try and help his skin and nothing worked, I never thought it was the formula until I had my second son and had him on the same formula, only to experience the same eczema… Read more

Changed recipe? – I tried this formula when my newborn was 4 weeks old, as the formula he was originally on wasn’t working for us. My little one suffered from terrible colic and has always been a really windy baby and requires lots of burping. After doing an insane amount of research and reading online to find what would be the best formula for a colicky baby and… Read more

other people’s recommendations for sensitive tummies. I found that Nan comfort was regularly mentioned and I felt that nan comfort would be helpful as it appeared to work for so many. That is until I realised most articles, reviews and online recommendations were based on the old formula recipe. Since then the company has changed their formula and it has upset a lot of consumers. As I wasn’t aware of the formula change until after I bought a tin I thought I’d still give it a try because it was a “comfort” formula so maybe it would still work? Well it was a waste of a tin as my baby did not like the taste of this formula and after the first 3 bottles, when I gave him the 4th and he realised it was this formula he flat out refused to drink it. He refused every bottle of this formula after that. It also made him very sick and he was spitting up soooo much. He became even more windy then he already was and he was unhappy baby. Unfortunately this product did not work for me.

Its changed for the worse! – My 8yo thrived on nan comfort 8 years ago so we tried with our new baby this time around. He was always spewy, constipated, struggled to pass wind.
