Glen was very patient in talking me through the setting up of my new NetComm modem as I am not that tech savvy. The only thing I omitted to do was set up my VoIP house phone so I will contact him and get that set up

Follow-up  · Despite numerous attempts by the Exetel people to connect our house phone to the internet through the new modem, nothing worked and we are still without the house phone. It was always set up under the old NetComm modem but the new one just won't work. So rather disappointed!

Disappointing – It is a shame that from where I live, it is difficult to access decent ISPs. My family decided to change to Netcomm, and so far it has been terrible for me. While the Internet can download at 1 mb/s, too often does that speed drop and I find myself downloading for hours at a speed of 200kb/s. This wouldn't be such a problem, however, if I was pleased with the way that the modem's port systems worked. I was thoroughly disappointed that most days I wasn't even able to connect to the modem's homepage wirelessly without turning the modem off for ten minutes, which you cannot do everyday when you live people who also use the Internet. And, for the brief time I have managed to connect to the modem's homepage; I have done some Port Forwarding for certain games. For the first week or so, my servers ran smoothly, and my friends enjoyed non-laggy servers. However, when my computer's IPv4 address decided to change last Saturday, I had to redo the ports and they stopped working completely. Since then I have rarely been able to connect to the router's homepage, and the times that I have have only been disappointing, seeing that the ports were all correct, and there was only something wrong with the router.

Not a good router if you're like me and wish to set up servers. Decent Internet speed, ability to host local servers without much lag Inconsistant Internet speed, often can't connect to the router homepage, unstable and unreliable port forwarding

OK – Review for Netcomm MyZone - 3G24W. Relatively easy to setup, I though it will detect SIM's network & connect automatically, but not happen in my case. I use Vodafone prepaid but it set to post-paid setting, finally I end up not to use the AutoConfig profile and add new one manually. After couple of hours somehow it will disconnected and I have to turn my zone off and on again.

On-off switch is tricky, hold 3 second to turn off, hold 5 seconds to reset. I end up resetting the device couple times. Even if you are sure it's 3 seconds, it's light indicator still flashing for some time, need time to know its behaviour.

Recharge able battery could be tricky as well, because as some point you have to keep your eye on its status. Ideal for travel. Easy to setup, no installation, connect from any computer.

Share connectivity up to 6 devices. Ideal for many devide notebook, phone. Rechargeable battery. Compact Size. Price. Power switch could be tricky. Disconected after couple hours. Have to keep eye on battery.
