Great little unit – Bought this towards the end of 2010 and it worked flawlessly right up until about 6 months ago when I replaced it with a new AC WiFi unit Never had a problem with dropouts or having to reset the WiFi, it just kept working. It was run 24/7/365 from the day it was set up and the only time it was off was when the mains power was off (example - power outage). When the power was turned back on, it went straight back to work without incident.
It has 4x 10/100 wired network ports, which was totally sufficient to run 1 wired PC and the Foxtel box.
It has single band WiFi - the speed is up to 300MB/s in the 2.4GHz band (indicated as 300N).
It has a replaceable antenna and I upgraded it to a better one due to being in a double brick walled house. This gave us adequate transfer speeds throughout most of the house.
The initial setup was very easy and the router interface was just as easy to navigate and modify when needed.
The only reason it was replaced was that it was too slow for our evolving needs - basically, multiple WiFi streaming (example - 2K and 4K movies) all at the same time.
Over the years we have increased our WiFi needs to the point it needed to be replaced - a couple of tablets, 2x internet-connected TVs, (both running internet streaming services), 4x FHD WiFI security cameras, WiFi to 2x PCs and media, et cetera off a NAS (it also has 2x TV tuners attached and is used as a WiFi HTPC).
Overall I would give this router high marks (given the technology used in it is about 8 or 9 years old), especially for reliability and ease of use and would still recommend it as a cheaper alternative unit suitable for someone without multiple high bandwidth WiFi requirements.

It has been on for 10 years and is still going great guns. I guess the others got the lemon and i go – It does what it says it does, it's a wifi router! I got mine from Internode when i joined them. ( no choice in the matter ) Easy as pie to set up in "retrospect". As usual not knowing what i was doing i had to follow and reread instructions carefully and they were precise. I will buy a Netcomm product again ( with the proviso that they are price competitive )
NP803n – I cannot get it to work as a repeater. Tech support is baffled. We did pretty good on the phone. But when I emailed I got the "exact screen shot please". Tech support is not free when the warranty runs out. I wasted a bunch of time dorking around with it. Nice box Does not work as repeater.
Terrible – This product is total rubbish, garbage, excrememt.. you get the picture. Do not waste your hard earnt money or your valuable time with this product, you will be disappointed. We ended up returning to the store of purchase and swapping for a Belkin while we still had the option. By the way, the Belkin Surf N300 is running like a dream. The product is reasonably priced, the features sound impressive, (on the box they do anyway), the product looks great, very stylish (not that important overall I guess) The fact is doesn't work very well is a major drawback for me.. it drops out constantly (every 5 - 10 minutes) so we spent more time rebooting it and fiddling around with the rotten thing than we did using the internet. Also, setup was not easy although they state it is... took forever.
