Don't trust Netgear – 1. On 27/5/2024 I paid $594.09 online to buy a router and netgear armour from Netgear. 2. The tracking link given to me did not work, on enquiry, Netgear denied I had paid for the goods although they had sent a confirmation of purchase and a receipt to me specifying the goods would be delivered on 3. I sent to them through emails the bank record… Read more

showing the amount had been paid and asked for the delivery of goods. 4. I have not received any reply from Netgear.

Is it the Router or Telstra outages? – Well we have had issues with the above. You call telstra and they said of yeh might be the router. So we get a new one as part of the plan. It has worked ok on and off for a year. Not consistent. Had 4 hours of no internet on Sunday 14/1/24 in Cedar Creek 4520 QLd. Call telstra. They try and troubleshoot and point to the router. Wanted me… Read more

to put that tiny SIM card into another device to test it, since i was on the phone to them. I called telstra again and was told no outages in my area. So yes, it could be a dodgy Router and feel like it gets so hot sometimes it just fades out. So do I think it is a good router answer probably NOT

Terrible support – After moving from a corporate Cisco based environment to a smaller SMB market I wanted a product somewhere between Cisco and off the shelf networking products. I have tried netgear and built a large network on their products and although the product and cloud manager aren't bad I would advise to absolutely stay away from this company foir business… Read more

as the support is pretty much non existant. I have been trying to spend money with them for the last week and still can't reach anyone who has a clue. Distributor has no idea either. So lucky I don't have a network down situatioon at the moment but I might do if I don't hear back soon. Just so far off the mark.

Cursed object/crime against humanity – Ok I had not choice it was what my ISP insisted on (would only support) so first of all I called my ISP on cell phone because no internet no landline after I explained that I wanted help setting up the orbi router I was promptly hung up on (I wonder why) so I called back and spoke to someone different what followed was stressful demeaning and… Read more

gruelling two plus hours process of downloading a app scanning QR code passwords/settings not working then having to be changed more passwords sent to email address (still no internet connection) didn't work do it again and again, there are just so many levels and tasks to complete just to get it set up. If it was within my power I would have those that designed this monstrosity flayed and then impaled only to die the slow painful death over the days that followed to in somehow to make up for all the suffering they have caused mankind.

Quick to charge me twice but zero accountability to resolve the issue – I have been charged twicce for my armour subscription on my Orbi router. The case has been open for over 3 weeks now with no progress . Absolutely disappointing service from Netgear.

Tech Support Offer No Support – I wanted to know how to change the settings on my device. I spoke with [Name Removed] from tech support. He brushed me off and said he would email me the answer and then hung up while I was still talking. Surprisingly I did receive the email but it was just a generic template that had nothing to do with my enquiry..

Do not provide service – Netgear make it impossible to speak to someone. After going round in circles on their website a popup says "No service is available for this product" even though it is in warranty. I would never use any Netgear product again nor recommend them. They have ZERO customer service
