The most unscrupulous company I have ever dealt with, being an ex employee this is by far the worst company I have ever worked for and witnessed hundreds of customers being extorted intentionally knowing prior to taking a customers money that they cannot fix the customers goods. Treating apprentices like slave labour doing deliveries all day… Read more
instead of trade work, bullying and arbitrarily garnishing apprentices pay.
The owners are Rodney and Micheal Zmack. Rodney lives at 39 Crockett street Cardiff south.
Worst Company In Newcastle! RUN – 1 STAR CAUSE YOU CANT GIVE ZERO!! Seriously don’t use this company we have been waiting for 3 weeks for a technician for our fridge under warranty. A technician came out eventually & still not fixed don’t think he was qualified. We have called everyday & he still hasn’t returned. I think they need to do everyone a favour & close this business… Read more
down( if that’s what it is). Do yourself a favour go elsewhere & if you’re product is under warranty go elsewhere for your own sanity.
AVOID NEC as they are unprofessional, unethical and dishonest – I was directed to NEC by LG website for fridge repairs. The initial call was misleading in that I told that there was a call out fee and then a fee to pressure check the fridge (total fee $286). Insisted on cash only due to NBN issues affecting their eftpos. On arrival (Rodney) insisted on pre-payment and then stayed half an hour in which no… Read more
observable testing was done other than him taking three photos of the fridge. He offered a "diagnostic test" which would have rendered the fridge totally unusable (spearing the gas line) which we declined so he left and refused to refund any of the $286 he had insisted on at his arrival. No receipt or tax invoice provided. I called the next morning to challenge the fee and request return of money as well as tax invoice. Rodney claimed the call out fee was $286 and that there was no entitlement to refund; he couldn't confirm when i would receive the tax invoice. Our fault to have paid him before he had completed the work but we have never had this type of dodgy service providers before. I will be pursuing LG to have this company removed from their website as a recommended service provider and will be exploring my options with the Dept of Fair Trading in regards to their business practice and pursue part refund of money due to breach of contract (ie taking money for services not provided).
No Customer service – Do not use ...they rude, unhelpful and uncompromising. No customer service whatsoever.
Incompetent – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. DISCLAIMER: I am writing this review, so what happened to me, doesn’t happen to anybody else. Newcastle Custom Electrics are Incompetent, rude, arrogant & have the worst customer service. Believe every One Star review. My ordeal with NCE: My Belling Richmond Oven (Worth $5000) had a faulty dial which was tripping the power… Read more
to the oven. The oven’s 5 year warranty was still in date. 27/03/2023 I contacted GDA (Glen Dimplex Australia) to get an Authorised belling technician….. the only one in Newcastle, [Name Removed] from NCE. (He wouldn’t give me his last name). 218 days later he had been out 3 times, Ordered the wrong parts twice. Fixed a door which was under warranty and paid by GDA. My warranty has now expired. On 1st November 2023 the reception lady, [Name Removed] from NCE called and said, “pre pay $297 and [Name Removed] will come out and fix the dial”….. finally. [Name Removed] turned up and took photos of the dial (again) & said he has order parts (again). I just got scammed for $297. For 227 days he had been stalling & just telling straight up lies because he didn’t know how to fix it. I called Craig Hampton Appliance repair. He came by today, 1st December 2023. Fixed the faulty dial within 2 hours & charged $200 including some parts!
I have been in contact with both the ACCC & GDA Head office and made an official complaint about [Name Removed] & [Name Removed] from Newcastle Customs Electrics.
No show – This company was supposed to come and fix my dishwasher. I had a day off work because they could only give me a four hour window. And then they didn’t show. No call nothing
Terrible customer service – Called about having my fridge repaired. Receptionist told me I would be called back that day. Still no call back a week later. I called to find out why a day had extended into a week and was rudely told 'people think they're the only one with a fridge needing to be fixed' and that they were very busy. I replied that I didn't think I was the only… Read more
one with a fridge, and that not bothering to ring back was not a sign of busyness but a sign of disorganisation, unprofessionalism and a lack of respect. If you say your going to call do it, or find another profession. I will be calling LG and telling them to dump this company with so many poor reviews.
Ripped off – Newcastle custom electronics (The owner and father of the sons employed) hired me to clean the absolute bio hazard they had out the back of their Hunter street shop some time back now customers may have noticed it. After agreeing upon a price to remove the rubbish I did so as ( 2 days work) well as paid the cost of the tip fees. In completion of… Read more
job I forwarded The invoice & receipt from tip. Some 16 months later still fighting to be paid. Annoying ripped off. What powers that be are their to make aware of their blatant disregard for anyone and the distress is they cause. Moral of the story run fast run far
Excellent service! – Couldn't be happier with the service! My samsung fridge needed repair and my call was answered promptly, professionally and the follow up call after my job was logged was excellent and informative. I was aware of the costs and rough estimate of parts up front and the parts were brought to the job to minimise any need for a further call out. The… Read more
actual repair service was very professional and the work was undertaken quickly but thoroughly to minimise any extra time logged on the job (there was no extra time charged). They really don't deserve such poor reviews.
Avoid NCE at all costs – Samsung contractor. Zero contact after multiple call backs. Manager refuses to acknowledge any failings on their behalf. In-line with all the other terrible reviews. I honestly can not believe the 5 star ratings are legit. AVOID NCE AT ALL COSTS. I wish you could give 0 stars to be honest.
Excellent Communication and superb service – It is regarding repair Samsung smart TV. Part arrived well in time. Service engineer was really polite with thorough knowledge. It did not take more than 30 minutes to fix the problem. He infact was very helpful to advise regarding connecting different items including a complicated Denon amplifier. I am really please with the Service.
Consumers beware – Wanted to charge $165 call out fee, to confirm dent in appliance door for replacement! Refused photos as visual! Double dippers!
LG or Product Care must be desperate – Product care had NCE send a 'technician' attend to investigate the 'fault' with our 3 y/o dishwasher, the ' technician' spent three minutes on site took photo's then left. Not a very extensive investigation I would have thought? When eventually I received a call from them he alluded to an installation issue that would make our claim void and that… Read more
we would now have to pay $165.00 for his report.
I wasn't going to have that and called Product Care who agreed to absorb the cost of the service given the above scenario. I pointed out to her (and the technician) that if the installation issue was that critical surely the the failure would have occurred much earlier than three years on?
Product Care then said it could be fixed at our cost but NCE would have to return to ' find out what was wrong with it.......$$$$$165.............then return to repair it...............$$$$$165 + parts and labour. When I pointed out to the lady from Product Care that this would probably ending up costing me $500-$700 for this ' service' I politely declined. I'm thankful that Product Care at least had the decency to cover the 'service call' by the ' technician' because I had no intention of being treated in this manner. I feel for any elderly or less assured individuals who have this extended warranty and are pushed onto a entity with the integrity of of NCE. Good luck

Great Service! – Thank you for your fantastic service and prompt return of my TV. I will highly recommend you guys to anyone looking at repairing electrical goods
Terrible customer service, not worthy of one star – I was referred to this service by LG and have dealt with them twice in the past. After a few days, we received a phone call from [name removed], the Manager of Newcastle Custom Electronics, in regards to our 2 in 1 combo washing machine / dryer, which was having some issues and was under warranty, [name removed] told me that I had to pay $165… Read more
before he would even come out to look at the machine. He went into this, saying that we would not have to pay this if it was a manufacturing fault (which LG had said that it was), but [name removed] said that it was “my fault” as the clothes going into the machine were not clean, which is kind of hilarious considering the point of a washing machine is to clean your clothes.
I then contacted LG again as I did not want to pay that amount for my washing machine to be looked at. Please note, we also knew what the issue was with our machine prior to contacting LG / Newcastle Custom Electronics – we have had the issue before and it is something we cannot access without voiding the warranty and LG have stated that it is a manufacturer fault. LG said that the correct process for the service company was for someone to come out and look at the machine and for them to diagnose the issue before even issuing any kind of charges. LG also stated that they wanted a service report from this company.
With this, we contacted Newcastle Electronics again and spoke to the manager, [name removed], again. I told him what LG had requested he went on to say that “LG don’t know what they’re talking about, it is just some stupid person from their call centre trying to tell you what you want to hear to make you happy.” Pretty disgusting attitude right there. I went on to tell him that LG had requested a service report and are expecting a copy. He went on to say that LG is not entitled to ask for a service report and that “it is between me and you.” I told him that LG is entitled to a service report, because the machine is still under warranty and they are paying for the service / repair.
[name removed] went on to tell me that I did not know what I was talking about. He told me that he wanted $165 up front before he even came out to look at the machine. I told [name removed] that I will be contacting LG again to tell them not to use your service centre again. In a previous phone call with LG, they had stated that our issue was definitely a manufacturing fault, the fault being an internal filter which the customer cannot access at all and makes the machine useless without regular cleaning (again, we cannot access this AT ALL). We explained this to him and he didn’t want a bar of it and was adamant that it was our fault and was going to charge us.
With this, we contacted LG again to tell them of our experience and recommended that they change the go to service repair centre to another business, which they agreed with. They provided us with another service centre to help us with our issue. I am glad to no longer have anything to do with Newcastle Custom Electronics – I would not recommend them AT ALL.
Costumer service – Worst customer service ever! After being a Purchasing Manager and in Purchasing for 28 years I can only describe them as crap! Not sure how they can be a Pronto - Euromade Service Centre in Newcastle! As a property owner they would not entertain the thought of giving notice of when they would arrive to do a job, they would only give a 4 hour… Read more
window of time. After negotiating they would only give 2 hours but would not allow notice to our realtor but would only deal with the tenants even though we owned the property and the product. The realtor tried to request a phone call 30 minutes prior to a rival which they refused. My wife and I organised the original time but they cancelled because they said the realtor would not be there. We had notified the renaltor that we booked the time so we would be there. Newcastle Customer Services did not turn up! That tells you that they are not customer service orientated and should not be in business in this day and age! Hope you go broke, you deserve to! Social media will stop ignorant people Like this Company from being in business with attitudes like this!
Newcastle Custom Electronics - Don"T Ever Use Them – No, not at all happy. I was dubious as soon as I walked in. Even though this was the place the Phillips (for Saeco) preferred repairer, their office looked dirty, unorganized, and very unprofessional. When I came in, the receptionist did not even recognize me admittedly, as he was on the phone. Despite standing within a meter of him for more than… Read more
10 minutes, he still didn't pause for even 3 secs to say "I'll be with you in just a moment". The first thing this person asked me for was my credit card - they wanted $99 before they even spoke to me. When I had finally booked my coffee machine in for repair, she had no idea how long it would take, who would be in contact with me, or an approximate cost. She just said, "wait for a call". That was 15th August - it's now 4th Oct, and I still have no idea when or if my machine will ever be fixed. And if they come back to me now and say that it is repaired, how much it will cost and was it ever worth it.
My advice is, do not ever in you wildest dreams, ever, ever take your equipment into Newcastle Custom Electronics for repair. They are disorganized, under-resourced, un-professional, and have no idea about customer service. They never call you, never meet deadlines and fabricate stories about the repair.
The worst thing is, Phillips appointed this group as their preferred repairer - maybe the cheapest quote, but I don't know. When I high-lighted their inadequacy to their Customer Care Division, they were very polite and supportive, but totally useless in getting Newcastle Custom Electronics to do anything different to what they weren't doing already.
For those of you that have your items in repair with Newcastle Custom Electronics now, good luck. However, if you have had a similar experience to me, say something so they either lift their game or get shut down. Really, please - don't sit back, do something about it.
Google reviews of this firm before using – This firm is used by Samsung as their Service Centre if you are in Newcastle and contact their Product Support on 1300 362 603. After 3 calls Samsung advised me that this was the firm I was supposed to be contacted by. … Read more
I then Googled their name and found a litany of complaints (including referral to Department of Fair Trading). Searching their name in Product Review also reveals further complaints with respect to other products. This review is a warning to all intending customers to do their homework first to avoid being treated similarly. Read all the reviews at Google, Yellow Pages, womo and Yelp. To quote just one recent review: "Sound's like that even after ten year's thing have not changed with this unprofessional bunch of knuckle heads . It makes me sad to think this shop is still treating Newcastle people as bad as they treated me all those years ago."
