Service guys ok. Attitude and approach of AGWS clearly dismissive of customers and not wanting to take resposibility – Just had the same scratching noise attended to on 30/10/24 for my LG condenser dryer that was attended to 24/10/24. Said there was nothing wrong and basically did nothing. I have video evidence. Noise is still there less than a week later. Machine is less than 2 years old, purchased on 30/1/23 and under manufacturer's warranty. Technician very nice and doing his job. Clearly had orders from management to ignore me. Will be taking this further.

untrusted and money making – Have a dishwasher broke down still under warranty . Call main office informing the situation and the error code .Was told they ordered the part and will fixed it .When they come to fix , they saw few cockroaches inside and told my wife its not cover under warranty . They also charge her $165 for inspecting . Now we left with a broken diswasher… Read more

Good service – The technician changed the front loader washing machine's door gasket. He was prompt and knowledgeable and worked quickly. Show reply

Follow-up  · Unfortunately one month after installation the gasket leaked. I decided to ditch the machine as it was cheaper to buy a new one

In June 2022 we purchased from the Good Guys Bankstown an LG 10k top loader washing machine. We also paid for a 5 year extended warranty. The machine always seemed very loud when it washed from the time we got it and has always been that way.… Read more

Sometime later we had a service man come and look at the machine and agreed it seemed loud and not normal. Parts were ordered for it and fixed. The noise still remained and we just accepted it will always be like that. Last year it was not washing correctly making a very loud clunking sound. It would make the sound of the machine washing but the barrel was not actually moving. Once again a service man came out and said the gear box has gone. Parts ordered and then repaired. Now, a year later the machine starts leaking and making a horrible sound when washing. I report it and a service man comes out. Well, he tells me the gear box has gone again. He orders parts and the parts arrive in 3 days and he returns to fix the machine. While fixing it the serve man tells me he had problems removing the agitator and damaged another part in the process. He explains he will order the part he damaged and it will be in between 3-5 working days. Today has been the 5th working day and I have not heard from AGWS at all. As it turns out I have been without a machine for 14 days. The next business day will be another 3 days away and then 17 days without a machine. I understand that things happen, and even though my machine was damaged while being repaired. You would think I might have received a call explaining the delay or when possibly the parts will be in. The way I see it the machine should have been replaced. When I asked the service man about this he told me it was up to LG to make that call. When you speak to LG they tell you it is up to the service man to make that call in their report. No one takes responsibility for what is happening. If a gear box dies twice within 1 year clearly there is a problem. This is not what I paid for. I will never recommend LG products to anyone or the extended warranty as it does not cover this type of situation as far as replacing an item. I was told the same issue has to happen 3 times before its replaced. Certainly doesn't help my situation. If the gear box dies again after my warranty expires in 1 year and I am up for the costs to fix it and it won't be replaced. Today I went to Bing Lee and purchased a new machine and not LG. I have A Fisher and Paykel front loader that is quiet and washes beautifully. If AGWS think any family can go this long without a washing machine they are kidding themselves. Seriously no consideration for the customer and definitely poor customer service.

Follow-up  · No change they didn’t even care worse company I’ve ever dealt with, would never recommend them to my worst enemy. Good guys and this company belong together two worse companies I swore never to buy anything from good guys again.

Bosch referred me to this company for our dishwasher repair - E11 fault message. A technician said the heat pump needed to be replaced which they did and charged us $411. The machine worked for a couple of cycles and then the E11 message started… Read more

again. I called AGWS (within the 30 day labour warranty period) and they came out again and said it could now be the control board and I would have to pay for this part and see if that works. So they were expecting me to just keep paying out money to try and fix a problem they did not know how to fix, there was no offer of a refund of the heat pump part they had replaced (which did not fix the problem) and perhaps a suggestion I should just buy a new machine. When I asked for a refund of the heat pump part only they said they would only refund the heat pump if they could come and get the part, thereby leaving me with a dishwasher without a heat pump altogether. I said ok but please put the original heat pump back that they removed, they said it was faulty and they threw it out!! So now I have paid $411 for a repair and part that did not fix the problem. THIS IS WRONG, if someone did this to the technician's own dishwasher I am sure they would be very upset!

Follow-up  · AGWS did not do anything further to try and fix our dishwasher. They took our $411 for a heat pump replacement that did not fix the problem. I was not prepared to pay anymore money to this company to try and fix a 10 year old dishwasher.

I have found this company extremely difficult to deal with throughout this warranty repair process. Their primary method of communication is one-way text messages regarding appointment times, yet they do not accept replies via text. In addition, emails often go unanswered. Despite this, they schedule appointments without accommodating the… Read more

availability that has been clearly communicated and then charge a $44 "not at home" fee when no one is available. I have been managing this repair from the outset and coordinating between the tenant and the property agent. Historically, All General White Goods (AGWG) has always communicated appointment details directly with me via text message. I was expecting their confirmation yesterday but did not receive any notification. Because I had not received confirmation from AGWG, I was unable to advise the tenant and agent of the appointment details. AGWG has since advised that they sent a text message directly to the tenant. However, sending an unsolicited text message without first discussing or confirming a mutually suitable time does not constitute a confirmed appointment. Furthermore, the tenant had clearly advised well in advance that they were only available in the afternoon. Despite this, the technician was scheduled to attend in the morning, which was inconsistent with the availability that had been communicated. Given these circumstances, I do not believe it is reasonable to charge a $44 "not at home" fee when the appointment was neither properly confirmed nor scheduled in accordance with the tenant's stated availability.

Never use this company, they charge like a bull and cannot repair an oven. While their telophone staff is very efficient, their repair staff leave a lot to be desired. I first contacted AGWS in August of 2025 as our three year old oven had stopped working. The repair person that came, ran some tests and said the oven required a new power board.… Read more

That visit cost approximately $180. The following week the repair person returned with a new power board and installed it. The oven still did not work. He said he didn't know why it wasn't working and said the oven would need to be taken to their workshop, but that he wasn't qualified to disconnect the oven. Another week passed and the oven was collected and taken away. As I had not heard back from AGWS I rang to follow up on my oven repair. I was told that the top element, the bottom element, the fan element, the thernostat and the door lock were all faulty. They replaced the top element and the oven worked, everyone including me was surprised as this was not the previous diagnosis. The following week they returned and reinstalled the oven. My partner asked the repair person to run through all the functions to ensure that the oven had been properly repaired. He told her he had no time and left. We paid approximately $380 for a top element and labor. In February 2026 the oven is again not working. AGWS have told me that if I want them to come and repair the oven their normal charges would apply regardless of what is wrong with it. They have since told me they are not willing to repair my oven at all. We paid approximately $560 to have the oven work for five months. If I was you, I would steer clear. I am sure there are plenty of competent whitegoods repairers out there. It's just not AGWS.

Had issues with repairs carried out to my fridge, when I called them I was told their company policy only gives 30 days labour warranty when the Australian consumer law is 90 days, just advising the public of this tactic.

Follow-up  · Did not get it fixed bought a new one. They did refund part of the cost for the repair that didn’t work.

I was was most impressed with the service technician who came this morning to repair an ignition plug on my ILVE gas cooktop and to replace the seal on my ILVE oven. Unfortunately I did not get his name, but on the receipt provided he was identified as service provider V13. He was very pleasant, professional and worked quickly. I certainly can highly recommend his service. Show reply
