Completely useless paperweight of a system once the cheap and nasty Android wall tablet dies. A Google Play software update on the Android wall controller supplied by AdvantageAir rendered our entire 3 x Daikin ducted systems inoperative and the only option to reinstate is a complete new MyAir system (including new wall sensors and all cabling)… Read more

We got our old controller replaced with the MyPlaceIQ directly controlled from the app on our mobile phones and it is fantastic. Now I can turn on or off the aircon from anywhere so it is nice and cold/warm when I get home. It also allows for several programs to run automatically. without delay. I explained to J o s h that I wasn’t tech savvy, so he had to be patient with me as I went through the process with him of reconnecting my internet router to the system. I was very impressed with Josh as he took the time to slowly walk me through the entire process of reconnecting and restarting my system. He stayed on the phone until I told him that all systems were go, and I could operate my mobile app from my bed, following my recent surgery. We are very pleased with the Advantage Air/My Place system, as I use it mainly for my air-conditioning and security systems which can be operated from the wall mounted unit or our mobile phones, even when we are overseas. We highly recommend the products and the Fantastic After Sales Service/Tech Support that we have received from E l w y n and J o s h.
Awesome handover and explanation on how to use the system! Had Dan the tech from advantage air do a handover and brief on how to use the set up. He explained the overall the working of the ac as well as all the features of the app and answered any extra questions me or my wife had. So big up to Dan and the team for taking the time to get me set up!

Follow-up · The part was under warranty therefore no cost. The technician replaced the faulty fuse within 30-40 minutes. He then showed me how to relabel lights that had reappeared after the faulty fuse was replaced. He also answered any questions I may have had regarding the app.

cannot be supplied. AC technician told me is planned obsolescence by Advantage Air to force people into paying $4,000 to $5,000 for a completely new system. I'm NEVER, EVER going near crappy Advantage Air again. I'm now a pensioner & disabled so finances are scare. No AC is the Qld heat is a real [Content Removed].
Follow-up · My Advantage Air system was 6 - 6.5 years old. I was told by AC Brisbane that they couldn't get the parts & if I wanted to update the Advantage Air panel it would cost me between $4 - $5 K - what a rip off!! I ended up getting rid of Advantage Air entirely, replacing it with a Panasonic controller plus Air Touch panel. This has a 5 year warranty.

We recently had a faulty zone controller on our ducted air conditioning system. Advantage Air contacted us and said that a Technician would be arriving the next day. On the day, CJ (Technician) rang to say he was 20 minutes away, CJ arrived as scheduled and checked the system. CJ replaced the faulty motor, he explained what he had done and was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and polite. Couldn't ask for better service. Show reply

We have the whole My Place system Air, Lights, Garage. The air and garage are great but the My Lights system is terrible. when we have the lights dimmed they flash and full brightness intermittently. I have same issues like others on tablets stops working and now I have been asked to update the dampers if I want to upgrade the tablet and my motion sensor will not work either. any reason why this people shouldn't be reported under consumer protection ?
I thought it was an intuitive system until the tablet stopped working. Good luck to those who choose this system as the tablet cost thousands to replace. itself is slow. Constant powering cause it to degrade quicker. Better off with a manual control system that doesnt need replacement.
There was once they updated the API and all my lights stopped working. Called up and because I am still in the warranty period, they have replaced the relays for free. However when I asked if this will be done for free in the future if the same thing happened, they told me I have to pay $300 per relay to replace it.
So you are pretty much at the mercy of this company. If they upgrade anything, and even it's not your fault, you will have to pay for the upgrade which you dont even need just for wifi control.
Not impressed at all. Builders should stop using this for new builds. What a waste of money.
For me, I have removed the tablet and rewired everything. The cost is less than the tablet.

Box Hill NSW - Excellent service, rang Tuesday and they said a tech would be there at 9 - 9.30am CJ (Tech) rang at 8.30am to tell us he is on his way and available just at 9am. CJ checked the system and replaced the faulty part, he explained what he had done and was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Couldn't ask for better service.
After a power shutdown, our Advantage Air controller wifi was unable to fully connect restricting remote operation. Sal from Technical Support was very helpful showing great patience in resolving the problem quickly.

He listened and identified my problem .Not only did he resolve it but he walked me through the whole system and explained how it works and what changes i can make to customise to suit our lifestyle . One week's wait between callouts means you will have no heating or cooling for this time. The actual Tablet unit looks like, feels, and operates like a $20 Chinese dummy unit. can't be used for anything at all SLOW AS A Snail.

My Air / My Place: Every time a unit fails, nothing can be used. Imagine the garage door is left open remotely, and the unit fails!!
The latest screw up is no home temp reading, Literally 28-10-2025, ongoing 4 weeks now. It Support. Instead of fixing the issues, they will try to sell you a new unit. That is not compatible with all your current extras that they have sold you with the first unit, so then they will sell you all the extra replacements. GARBAGE AIR.

Trash system and team. no feedback, no updates, and no follow-up. Having trouble with the temperature reading being different from the main home temp, and then remotely accessing. Been waiting 6 weeks to get resolved. Been very poor indeed. Useless bull promises. Wait till everyone starts complaining.
Last night our power went out, and this morning I could not remote access the air-con from my mobile phone. I called the service number and left a message. Within 10 minutes I had a phone call from Adam, who guided me through the process to get everything up and running again within 5 minutes. Excellent customer service and care! Had a system installed 12 months ago. Last month our phones MyPlace app has stopped connecting to the unit. Installers logged an issue with advantage air, first call was from Sydney team which didn’t get anywhere. Just really poor service and quite happy to say it’s a YOU problem then an issue with there devices.
