I had Greg out this morning to fix my ailing fridge. What a gem this guy is. After diagnosing the problems... he knew exactly what to do – and he knew exactly how to do it. He was pleasant and accommodating... and quick too. This is the type of service that all companies should strive to achieve.

calling to follow up. Solution was can’t find a a dryer with same functions advised wanted a dryer with same functions as my dryer his offer was he would contribute $500 and the dyer same function would be new and I would have to pay $950 to get it. No customer service disgusting DO NOT USE NEWMANS APPLIANCES go somewhere else GYPSY THIEF OCTOBER 2025 Now putting in a dispute with QCAT nearly a year later [Name Removed] did nothing Hoping I would what?

ASKO dishwasher needed a new door seal. We identified the issue ourselves provided the identifying part number and paid for the part prior to the repair person coming. That took 3 1/2 weeks. refitted all the parts, he told us the dishwasher would not start as he had done something to the Control Panel. We were told a new control panel would be ordered and fitted free of charge. It should take approximately one week. After 3 weeks with zero contact we went to their repair facility and were told the part was on backorder. The boss would not be in for another 3 days. 3 days later we were contacted and told the part had NOT been ordered, they didn’t know why they hadn’t ordered it. We were left with either waiting for ??? additional time for the part to come in or be refunded what we had spent in the first place. We took the refund. Then because they had broken our dishwasher we were $2500 out-of-pocket for a new dishwasher. This saga was drawn out over a two month period. I can’t believe ASKO actually recommend these repairers. I will be contacting ASKO and relaying this to them. I would NOT recommend anyone use this company.

Dishonest Management – Dishonesty and lies. Booking for 0800-0830. Called at 0845 was advised tech was late due traffic after first job at 0730. conversation (which I videoed) he said he was never booked for 0800-0830 but 0930 - 1000. Showed me his booking tablet. His manager totally threw him under the bus with lies because they messed up the booking and didnt like being caught in a lie. Phillipe was not happy. Glen is also NOT the owner. Would love to know who the owner of the family owned company of 25 years. Called to talk to Glen re my charge and wanting to be compensated in the form of discount for my time and Glen told me I was being 'emotional'.

Initially gave Phillipe $120 instead of $165 to compensate for my time and he told me he would be short changed in his pay that week so I paid him the $165 as I felt sorry for him. Sent email to Newmans - no response. Bosch should not be using Newmans Appliance Repairs as recommended repairer.

Very Disappointing Service and Capability – Was provided with Newman’s contact details by Bosch to repair our out-of-warranty dishwasher. Serviceman came a total of 4 times and for 3 of those times told us the dishwasher was repaired. First use after he departed, problem recurred. Last time received a charge in excess of $160 for labour costs and dishwasher is still not repaired. We’ve decided to get a new one but paid Newman’s a total of $856 to NOT get our dishwasher fixed.

Greg was OUTSTANDING! – Greg was very friendly, polite and very attentive to the repair of our icemaker. He went went thoroughly through all potential problems and addressed them all the while explaining why and what.

Very dissapointed – They came out to fix my dishwasher. The guy was here 5 mins and couldnt fix it because he didnt have the part yet still charged me $132.00 for call out and 30 mins labour for 5 mins of doing nothing. they would charge me an additional 30 mins labour plus the cost of the part. So in affect i am being over charged. I tried calling them up to discuss it and sort something out that was more fair but they just blew me off. Dont use this company!!

Poor Show – Paid for a very expensive washing machine installation with this company. The technician was offhand. I was given no paperwork listing parts etc. After just over a year (Guess what 3 weeks out of warranty!) the connection to the tap is leaking. They are refusing to look at it without further expense, bad customer service. Poor quality work. Suggest to Bosch that they change installation company.

Double dipping by Meridian Trade Services Pty Ltd – This private company trades as AIRCONDITIONING & APPLIANCE WORLD and their details were provided by Harvey Norman where I bought my AC. Be aware that they will charge you $150 as a call out fee when you make a warranty claim, only to be told that your malfunction is not covered by the Mitsubishi warranty. be aware that the problem is not covered by warranty, and neither does this repairer until they inspect the item. Now comes the sting. I was charged $150 for 15 minutes of inspection time, and this amount is not deducted from any repair fees that you might pay to the same company. So they charge $150 for a 15 minute visit to advise that your malfunction is not covered by the warranty, and that you need a maintenance service which will fix the problem. In my case the service was going to cost an additional $240 on top of their inspection fee. In total this would have cost me $390 for a maintenance service. I went elsewhere where the same service cost $176 and was available within a few days, unlike the 3 week wait for the $390 sting from Airconditioning & Appliance World.

Harvey Norman and Mitsubishi are partly to blame as they provide the details of this company to customers, making it a de facto recommendation. There is no other company that I have dealt with where an initial inspection costs money which does not form part of the overall cost of repairs or maintenance servicing. I Considered it a rip off and that’s why I wrote this review to warn others. Remember this unholy alliance, and keep away from all three. HARVEY NORMAN, MITSUBISHI, AIRCONDITIONING & APPLIANCE WORLD.

Broken Roof Tiles, but I got your AC going.... seriously?? – Tech came out for a warranty a/c repair. Had no care in the world of trekking mud everywhere or stomping on tiles. Ended up replacing the spare parts ok, but ended up cracking 2 x concrete tiles. be happy he got the A/C going. I swnt photos to Appliance World after phoning them, to now be told my 5 year old GJ Gardner house isn't built to standard as the tiles should hold a normal person and i need to claim with my insurance. Yes. Normal person. Not person carelessly standing on all corners and edges. I'll be filing with the ACCC. Very disappointed a company pays no care to the clients household. Disgusting.

Rude and aggressive on the phone – Called the supplier of my air conditioning unit for what I thought was a warranty claim. They sent Newmans out to check it over and I was given a bill for the work as the unit had not been installed correctly by the installer. and was told they did the work because they were on site. I advised them I didn't give them permission to do the work as I would have had the installer do the job, they said they were dealing with my property manager and didn't have my details. I asked if they had got permission from the property manager to which they replied they were there and just did the job or else I would have been charged for another callout fee. I was not happy about this and was told in a very rude and aggressive manner that they would send someone around and pull out the part they installed which would render my unit inoperable and then sue me for the balance of the account as well as court costs and so what did I want to do? I was so taken back by the answer that I was not able to say anything but advised them I would get back to them. I called the the supplier of the air conditioning unit Electrolux and they didn't care either - stated it was my problem to sort out with Newman's as it was not a warranty claim. Would never use or recommend this company to anyone nor will I ever buy anything from Electrolux again.

Cannot believe a company can do work without your asking them to do it and then bill you for it and there is nothing you can do. What is this country coming to?

Great job Jai – The technician was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Replaced the glass on my oven in no time. He also cleaned up afterwards. Very impressed with the service. Will definitely use Newman’s again.

ABSOLUTELY HOPELESS – We have used Newman's for all our appliance repairs within the home however we will not be in the future. We purchased a brand new Beko washing machine which broke after 1 month's use. Beko sent out Newman's to fix the fault and the service by Newman's was horrible even though they knew i was a long term customer of theirs. They took weeks to come… Read more

out to the property to fix the problem and when they finally arrived, they had the wrong part. They told me a few days later that they then had the part in stock however i still had to wait another week for them to return with the new part to fix it. The customer service was horrible on the phone and I will never use Newman's again. Beko were also very disappointed in their service provided.

Exceptionally POOR service & incompetent – AVOID... Bought a Westinghouse dishwasher in Nov 2017 plus Harvey Norman 4 yr extended warrantee from Harvey Norman Bundal. Failed Dec 2019 F9 error, internet says main board replacement required. compete the repair... Left and said all fixed. Set to wash minutes after he left saying it was fixed and same fault still there F9.. Well its now 29 Jan 2020 Newman's Appliances canceled today's booked appointment minutes before they were due to arrive - tech sick (so what..) Requested they send another tech today to complete the booked appointment in light of the extreme long fix time... they refused to allocate another repairer... They are just useless C... S not much else to say.... AVOID Newman's appliance repairs at ALL COSTS

successful so a part that would have cost me nearly $300 was replaced for just the labour cost of $60. I am extremely grateful for the effort made on my behalf and the service rendered. They are a conspicuous example to all other firms on how business should be conducted. Thank you Newman's.
