Great all-round tyre
Best tyre I have ran and also not the most expensive. Definitely going to be my next set of tyres as I can't fault them. Plenty of grip on and off road
Definitely worth the money
Tyres are great for everything us them on road and off. Definitely don’t slip while going for a forby. Have had the tyres for 2 years and I’ll probably get another two years out of them as I rotate them every 7,000km
Purchased in September 2017 for $288.00.
Nitto trail grapplers are the best
I thought I'd give the nitto trail grapplers a go and it's now been a year and a half. I've driven from Melbourne to Noosa and did the Noosa north sore, Fraser island, driven to South Australia to do robe beach run, 4wdriving nearly every second weekend, high country 3 times and I drive with them on every day to work and these things will not wear down. I'm hanging to buy a new set but I can't because there still got about 70% tread left on them. Hands down the best tire I have ever had. They bulge out nicely when you let them down, I've never had a flat tire, never come off the bead, never got stuck in sand, and plenty of grip. Well done nitto. Can't wait for my next set.
Purchased for $280.00.
Plain and simple the best tires I have ever bought. Nitto trail grapplers are the best. 20x12.50x20
This is the best all around tire there is. It handles all kinds if conditions. If you buy this tire you will not regret it. I will not buy any other kind of tire except a nitto trail grappler.
Purchased in July 2019.
Hi youll bought myself a set of nitto trail grapplers Mt nice tyre plenty of meat the car corners better it's a stiffer cornering but before buying these tires I also read reviews and a lot of them said a fairly quiet tyre well to all those future buyers out there this tire is a very solid tyre good in the mud so far very good on wet roads but definitely not a quiet tyre keep that in mind I have them on a Foton Tunland 4x4 265/70/17 $240.00 each at Motorsport tyres on Green's road Dandenong South
Surprisingly quiet for a mud tyre
275/65r17 has the extra load to enable, with springs and shocks, to upgrade the gvm on the patrol. On the beach they handled the sand without the need to select 4wd until we hit the soft stuff. Surprising though they are very quiet on the road and a comfortable ride. Well worth the extra few dollars, I was offered nitrogen in them but declined as the inflation deflation in different driving conditions would have rendered it a waste of money. All up though, very happy
Takes me anywhere my heart desires.
Have the Nitto Grapplers on my 2015 Nissan Navara, NP300. Favourite muddies, take me anywhere. Capable of anything. Never let me down. Low wear rate, meaning high kms out of them. Defiantly worth the money. Would highly recommend to anyone that wants to do some decent 4wding! Nitto Grapplers muddies
Great Mix between mud and road tyres.
I purchased these after a mates glowing reviews and wow. For the price i don't think you will get a better Tyre. They are not 100% mud, more like 70% which make them perfect for daily driving as well. Have had them on for just short of 10,000 and they have next to no wear (impressive for a mud Tyre). They are very quiet on road (for a muddy) and you don't get the usual howl that comes with such a tyre. They have successfully navigated the blacktop, the victorian high country and the otways national park. They bag out nicely when you let out your tyre pressures for the off road terrains. And blow up without trouble. I have these on a set of Dynamic 16x8 Steel rims.
Reliable tyres for all-terrain
I purchased these tyres in a December, 2017 for my partner’s Ford Ranger Wildtrak. They have been a great addition and perfect in all weather conditions - a definite upgrade from the stock standard tyres that the Ranger comes with and well worth the extra pennies required for the upgrade!
Quiet and road gripping
I just recently purchased a set of nitto tyres for my hilux. I found them to be very quiet for the agressive pattern they have. Also in the wet they are very good with a lot of grip even though the roads are wet. Wear and tear seems to be going great so I would recommend nitto tyres to everyone
Best tyre I've had!!
Purchased a set of these last year for our Landcruiser. Beside the fact that they look awesome and have the maximum diameter legally possible, they have preformed really well. I just came back from a trip to birdsville and back, they never missed a beat. We liked them so much we put them on my wife's car as well
Surprisingly Good for a new comer - Performs beyond my expectations for a Mud Terrain Tyre
Finally, a mud tyre that rides better than some all terrain tyres. This Trail Grappler Mud Terrain tyre from Nitto surprises me with its performance and quiet ride.
When I first heard of Nitto at my local Bob Jane T-Mart, I wasn't convinced with the name as I have been a faithful follower of BF Goodrich for several years and was about to switch to the Coopers for a change due to all the hype about Coopers. Anyway, a buy 3 get the 4th one free deal at my local Bob Jane store seal the deal.
When I told my mates I was getting Mud Tyres, ...they told me to stay away as they have all experienced road noise issues and lack of on-road grip on their current tyres. I told them I read some reviews and there was one guy that said the Nitto MT are actually very quiet. I love the look of the mud terrain tyres on my truck so I didn't really care. After picking up the car with the new tyres fitted, I went on the same route that I had to go everyday to get home. Some straight roads, some roundabouts and then a pretty sharp curve to get onto the Motorway with foot to the floor to be able to merge in. First I thought the car was leaning a bit compared to before so I thought in my mind that yes, my mates were right that Mud Terrain doesn't handle as well as All Terrain so I have traded off some grip. The next step was checking for noise. I thought something was wrong. There wasn't any noise coming from the tyres at all be it slow or 100km/hour plus. No humming, no screeching or reverberation whatsoever. Well, what a surprise! I was happy. The missus won't be complaining for sure. At least I got 1 out of 2. Less grip is of course, something expected on-road for the M/T. Drove it for a few more days and actively observing the tyre behaviour to see of any improvement but it stayed the same so I concluded the Nitto M/T is as quiet or even quieter than the BF Goodrich A/T Zero I just replaced but have less grip on road. But hang on, something is not right about my comparison when I thought about it. I was not comparing apples to apples already but comparing an M/T Vs an A/T but then I forgot to take into account other factors. The BF A/T I just replaced was only 31 inches whereas the Nitto I now got were 33, which effectively meant the car now sits 2 inches higher, hence, I was a little less confident in pushing it around the bend and obviously put the Nitto at a disadvantage. After several months of testing, I have to conclude The Nitto is the best M/T tyre I have ever bought. I can't fault it in any way at all. It was dead quiet on road, have massive grip off-road and I reckon if it wasn't sitting several inches taller, it would have more on-road grip than the BF A/T I was using.
Questions & Answers
What's the correct recommended pressure to run these tyres at for high speed highway driving, empty and with heavy load?
The question Id like to ask is why Nitto can produce a "A" class tyre that in my opinion is 50% quieter, tougher sidewalks, deeper tread, great wearing, better in all conditions from wet roads, greasy clay hills, muddy bog hole, unbeatable in sand but yet are half the price of the BIG Names that get advertised like Maccas?
Congratulations Nitto, best tyre I've driven on!
You'll be surprised, nitto tyres are American and have been around for ages, it's just us Aussies haven't heard much about them because they don't advertise as much compared to BFG. Micky Thompson, coopers and so on. There are a lot of good tyres out there that are more affordable than the big names. Just because they're the big names, doesn't mean they're good.
