North Peak Gear

I am extremely disappointed with both this product and The North Peak Gears customer service I purchased two of these sleeping pads while they were on sale, intending to use them together. Unfortunately, due to weather and circumstances beyond my control, I wasn't able to use them within the company's 90-day satisfaction guarantee period. When I finally did use them, they were a complete failure. They were frustrating and extremely difficult to inflate, they would not reliably hold air, and when used together they constantly separated, leaving a gap between them that made for a miserable night's sleep. Instead of getting a comfortable sleeping setup, I ended up fighting with two expensive inflatable mattresses that simply didn't perform as advertised.
I politely explained all of this to The North Peak and requested an exception to their 90-day return policy. Their website promotes a satisfaction guarantee, stating that it is intended for customers who are unhappy with a product—not for price comparisons. I wasn't trying to return them because I found a better price. I was returning them because the product simply didn't work and I was genuinely dissatisfied.
Despite that, my request was denied solely because I was outside the 90-day window.
The North Peak may stand behind a policy, but they did not stand behind their product. I'm now stuck with two expensive sleeping pads I'll never use again.
If you're considering purchasing these, I recommend thinking twice. A satisfaction guarantee doesn't mean much if the company refuses to make things right when a product fails to meet reasonable expectations
Purchased North Peak Gear mattresses. Over 3 weeks for delivery. Uncomfortable rolling side to side. Noisy and not as advertised. Asked for refund within 24 hours of del. The 100% Refund with NO QUESTIONS ASKED is untrue. They requested filming of the rolling on the mattress? After numerous request for the return address and refund, they wanted me to Pay Postage Back, then they would issue refund. After reading other reviews I realised I had been deceived with their slick advertising. I contacted PayPal explaining the interaction with North Peak Gear and provided emails proof of filming request. I was issued a 100% refund within 24 hours. Read all reviews available on other sites something is definitely fishy. Their return address is to a Large Mining Manufacturing Business. As it turns out they don’t want the mattresses back? They are going straight in the bin.
Follow-up · I was lucky to get refund through PayPal, because 6 emails to the company was futile. Reading reviews on other platforms shows me this wasn’t an isolated problem with mostly the same problems. I feel the few good reviews may be questionable? Cheap rubbish product and untrustworthy company.
