NSW Vehicle Inspections

Terrible service. I booked a car inspection online and paid for it on a Friday for a pre purchase inspection in Orange. Hadn’t received any communication from this business for 3 days so i called and they told me that they don’t cover that area. Total waste of time waiting for them to do the inspection. Check if they cover regional areas as they often don’t though they are more than happy to take your money without providing the service. I’m still waiting for my refund and if i hadn’t followed up the job would still just be sitting there, They were really rude on the phone and called me a keyboard warrior when i mentioned i would be writing a review of their services.
Follow-up · Refund was smooth though they were very rude on the phone. I also don’t feel that they don’t state what areas they cover very clearly on their website. I will never use this service again.
Worth every penny – I booked a pre purchase inspection for a van at a car yard. The car yard representative had confirmed verbally that the vehicle “was regularly serviced”. NSW Vehicle Inspections carried out their inspection promptly and I was provided with a report with pictures emailed to me within hours. The report was super easy to understand and followed up by a phone call from the inspector. In the end we found that the vehicle was only serviced twice in 8yrs. I am forever grateful for having this detailed inspection carried out as it identified a potential repair bill of almost $4k. Highly recommend these guys.
Poor communication + missed things that cost me $1500 !! – Firstly, I ordered a 'platinum pre purchase inspection' on Wednesday stating my preferred time for the Friday. After paying, for the 2 and a half days not once did they contact to say that the inspection was scheduled, or in the process of being scheduled. As the buyer i was left totally oblivious to what was happening, and had to call after 2 days to check that it was even going ahead on the day i asked. Secondly, I noted that i was travelling interstate and was relying on the inspection details to make my decision. After trusting the report and buying the car, I quickly learnt the report missed a number of things that made the car unroadworthy, that being; extremely worn tyres (which made severe scrubbing noises when turning gentle corners, also not noted), fog lights that did not work at all, a brake light not working and its cable visibly dangling and not connected. There was also a loud audible rattle from the left rear that was not noted. As a result after buying the car, I immediately had to pay an additional $1500 to fix all the issues to make the car legal to drive on the road!! This 'platinum' service was certainly below par. Do not recommend dealing with this company.
Great service, very professional - saved me thousands $$ – Booked a pre-purchase inspection with NSW Vehicle Inspection. The inspection was carried out the very next day and a report with pictures emailed to me within hours. The report was super easy to understand and the followup phonecall from the inspector was phenomenal. I was about to purchase a car where the odometer was rolled back - instead of 80000km the car had done nearly 300000. I am forever grateful for the exceptional service. Highly recommended
