Nûby No-Spill Grip n' Sip

Avoid this product – I should have read some reviews before I bought this product. Similar to "Woeful" who reviewed this product in October 2013, the Nuby no spill grip n' sip is terrible. Ours also collapses in on itself. Our babe can only get a couple of sucks in before it does this and it either spills or we have to pull it out of her mouth to fix it. Fix your product Nuby!!
Woeful – This is a truly terrible product. My 8 month old son has difficult getting anything from the spout as it collapses easily into itself. I tried to drink from it and could not get any liquid through the spurt either. I have thrown it in the bin. It was not cheap either!
Awful baby cup – We have binned this cup as it simply does not work. When bub drinks from it the spout central part gets pushed/sucked into the cup and water goes everywhere. We tried to work out what we were doing wrong but it is either an awful design or really bad quality control. it is also very difficult to get the handles in the correct place so that the spout is not off-centre. Nice looking cup It doesnt work as a baby cup
OK – I bought this cup after having problems with another Nuby sippy cup. I find that the spout is quite difficult to clean in the little nooks and crannies. As the spout has to be placed in a particular way for the seal to work it is difficult to get the spout to align the right way when you screw the top on (i.e. sometimes the spout ends up near the… Read more
handle). Also, I've found that when baby drops the cup on a hard surface (which happens frequently in this house!) the base pops off completely. While it can be put back on it is annoying to have to do it several times a day in a house full of tile floors.
It does the job, but I wouldn't purchase again. Great colours, easy to hold. It is difficult to get the spout aligned correctly with the handles. The spout is difficult to clean. The base pops off.
Extremely poor design – I can't believe this cup made it to production. It is so poorly designed. The silicone spout is easily pushed into the cup by baby pushing on it or when suction increases as baby drinks. The pressure release valve doesn't work at all therefore, the spout caves in all the time and water leaks out everywhere. When the lid is done up tightly (as… Read more
it should be to remain leak proof) the spout never lines up with the handles, so the spout is always off to one side. If you want to remove the handles from the base, the cup is very unstable and topples over therefore, handles always have to be attached. Water comes out when baby bites on spout and ends up all over baby.
almost every part of the design is flawed. The spout constantly 'caves in'. Really frustrating and a total waste of money.
Terrible – Terrible. Complete waste of money. Do not buy this product in the hope they see what junk they are selling to unsuspecting parents and hopefully try to rectify it. That you can throw them away. This is the most poorly made sippy cup I have seen. Even if the silicon spout is placed absolutely perfectly it leaks like a sieve. There is no way I would ever recommend this to anyone as it is a total waste of money.
Bad – I have stopped using this sippy cup because there have been too many spills due to the silicone spout. It is a shame as it is a good cup otherwise but I became sick of the spout becoming dislodged and having liquid spilled throughout the lunchbag. I would not recommend this cup to others. Comfortable two-handled grip, good flow. The silicone spout… Read more
is easily dislodged and can cause spills. This can happen by mu little one chewing on the spout or when you are screwing it on or off. The spout cover is not attached to the cup and can easily be misplaced.
OK – My son discovered he could make the entire contents of this trainer cup spill by pushing/pulling on the teat which breaks the seal at the edge of the cup allowing the contents to spill out. Also when you're screwing the top onto the cup the teat part twist out of the desired position. Easy to hold handles are good for little hands. Special valve… Read more
doesn't seem to allow air back into the bottle unless you push the teat sideways a bit. When you do this it make the edge of the top lift away a little alowing it to spill if tilted at the time.
Bad – If you were able to buy cheap replacement spouts for these sippy cups they would be a really great product but the spouts tend to get chewed too easily and then the cups will leak everywhere. These training cups come in nice attractive colours and are very easy for little hands to hold and to drink out of. They look nice and are readily found at… Read more
not too expensive a price. The cups are pretty easy to clean and put back together. The silicone spouts do tend to be chewed on and then need to be replaced which can make them a bit expensive for what they are.
Excellent – Great as a 1st sipper cup for the little one. Not hard for the little one to use, liquid flows out of the spout easily. Bright colours. The silicone is soft and easy for babies to suck. Can be use from 4mnths+. BPA free. Not expensive when it is on sale. Non-spill. Heavy for babies to hold unless they are older - over 1yr old. Silicone hard to replace.
OK – i did manage to find a place to buy replacement spouts online but the cost the same or more than a new bottle so i ended up keeping the old cups for spare parts (ie. when lids got lost). This bottle is cheap compared to some similar ones on the market so i don't mind buying 1 a month. but it would be great if replacement spouts were easier and… Read more
cheaper to purchase. cheap, easy to buy most places, easy for my 8 months daughter old to hold and drink from, colourful designs, easy to clean - pull apart and put back together. because the handles aren't connected to the spout part is is easier to do up than the other nuby trainer cup i used first. i go through one of these a month because my daughter breaks the valve in the spout (she does have her 2 lower front teeth) and replacement spouts cost the same as a new bottle.
Good – This cup was really good. Didn't really last too long as he started getting teeth early and was chewing through the spouts. As I couldn't find replacement spouts I had to throw the whole thing out. It comes in a reange of colours so it is great when you have more than one child. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a cup. comes in… Read more
range of colours. Easy to clean and pull apart. Price is pretty good also. I couldn't find spouts to replace the ones my littlie had chewed through. Would be good if it come with extras.
Bad – This cup was great. The silicone spout made sucking for liquid very easy for my little man. I never found that it leaked until he chewed a hole in the spout. Unfortunately you cant buy replacement spouts so the whole thing ended up in the bin. soft spout, easy suck, handles Not being able to replace spout

Know better, choose better.
OK – I bought a few of these cups because others were so expensive. However, they are not designed for the nappy bag as they have no cover for the spout and will leak if left on their side. I have also found out that when my daught drops it from the highchair, the bottom falls off! The plastic is too rigid. And although they are easy to take apart for… Read more
cleaning, I have found it difficult to re-align the spout with the lid when re-assembling to prevent leakage. Looks great, easy to take apart and clean. Cheap Does leak, doesn't 'bounce' when dropped from the highchair. No cap to prvent leaks whilst in transit
Good – The screw-in top is great, bub has thrown or dropped this cup many times and it's never leaked. The large handles make it really easy for bub to hold onto. I like that it comes in many different bright colours, it's always good when you can get a product that has more than one colour - sometimes makes it easier to remember what has been used!. It… Read more
has a plastic cover for travelling. Bub loves drinking out of this cup. Screw-in top, soft silicone spout. Has large handles that have rubber grip on them. Reasonably priced. None so far!
OK – The soft nipple is great for small babies to get used to sucking from a bottle, making the transition from breast feeding or bottle feeding to a cup an easier experience for both mother and child. The handle grip is quite easy for the baby to hold, but makes the cup size wider which makes the overall cup size bulky and harder to pack. Its not easy… Read more
to get the spout centered between the two handles, as you can only tell where it will end up once you have screwed the top on and usually have to re-adjust the spout. Soft spout, easy grip handles, prevents spillage A little bulky to pack into a compact bag because of large handles, have to ensure the spout is in the right place (between the handles) when assembling together
Good – These cups were great when I wanted to teach my then 6 month old to drink water from a sippy cup. The soft silicone spout is similar enough to a bottle teat to make the transition easy. I found once my boy worked this cup out he could then work out the hard spouted sippy cups more easily. They are also affordable by comparison to some brands.… Read more
Great for the transition from a bottle to sippy cup. Easy to clean. It is no spill if knocked over in the high chair but it will gradually leak in your bag if you take it our with liquid in it.
Good – A great training cup for bubs learning to feed themselves. Comes with a cover as well for taking out with you. Was easy for my son to hold. The spout was a good size, didn't have to tip the cup back as much unlike the cups with teat-like tops on them. Great colours. Durable and easy to clean. Cheap.
Bad – the cup was cute and great while it lasted but the manufactures of toddler sipp cups should do something about making the spill proof valve more inside the cup so little teeth cant damage it, all in all it was okay but we didnt buy more after the first one though it was pretty and had great grip like nodules on it so it was easier for little hands… Read more
to retain hold of it. everything came apart for easy cleaning and clicked back together ery easily, simple design and came in a nice assortment of colours we found that once our daughter realised she had teeth nothing stood a chance, including her cup, after a few days of biting on the silicon teat the leak proof bit of the cup actually split and it dripped everywhere, this happened to a number of ippy cups we tried in alot of different brands
Terrible – It is a shame this cup leaks, and I have had so many problems with it, because the soft tip and easy flow is great for young learners. This is a very easy cup for little ones to sip out of, it almost feels like a large teat. The handles are great size and width for a baby to hold. The cup holds quite a bit of liquid, which is great for when you go… Read more
out for a long trip. My whole playgroup bought this cup, we all thought it was wonderful at the time. Then one by one our cups began to break or leak, one person had the handles fall off, and the rest of them had small leaks, my cup had large leaks and I had to store it in a bag so it wouldn't leak on everything. Also the cup had problems lining in the correct position.
Good – I started giving this to my son at around 7 months and he took to it straight away. Because it is no spill I can give it to him during play-time and not have to worry that I'll come back to a patch of wet carpet. Great way to increase his water intake especially in hot weather. Not sure if this is BPA free, but I only use it to hold chilled… Read more
water or at room temperature. Very easy for my son to use. Is a true 'no spill' cup. Good range of colours. He's dropped it from the high chair several times and it's still in one piece! The protective lid is a little hard to take off - particularly for grandparents. Cannot be sterilised.
