Pathetic product – If I could I will do negative… worst ever baby product specially when it’s made in Germany. Stope working any time and spilling milk middle of express. And bought it in advance when I fall in pregnant and now big w can’t do anything after one year and I used hardly few time because it’s terrible product. I would if you do hand pressings that is better than this pump Show details

Not a good pump – Well, very noisy. It takes an eternity to take out milk. It becomes very frustrating, the electric pump has a button to pause the suction and you have to constantly pressing him up, if you pass some seconds become painful , very bad technique. I need definitively to buy another one , but not Nuk.

Nuk electric breast pump – Waste of money! Be careful with all single motor breast pump, you should only be using it up to two times a day, or eventually it will die out. It was noisy, took me 40 mins to pump 200ml when I could normally pumped 260ml in 15 mins with my manual breast pump. If your breast is wet with milk while pumping it was loses its suction. Bought it for… Read more

$155 and I'm happy to throw it in the bin.

Should not be using it more than two to three times a day or the motor will die. Noisy and takes so long to pump.

Don't Bother – Useless pump. Too loud and latches on to firm but doesn't pump correctly. For an electric pump to still need manual pumping with a push button seems stupid. Pay the extra and get a Medela. I think there is a reason these ones are recommend by most hospitals. Seriously, with the Nuk, you are better off just sitting down having a coffee and… Read more

hoping your milk will express by itself - you have more of a chance of that happening than anything with this product.

Avoid!! Cost

Terrible – I much prefer my manual Avent Isis pump over this one. I was lent this by my sister to try but found the suction was too strong on my nipple and really painful. I felt like I didn't have as much control on the pump and therefore the whole process became a chore and uncomfortable. There is an interrupt button but I needed to use it continually… Read more

as I was hurting. I glad I didn't buy an electric pump and tried this one first as I would have wasted my money. So in the end, electric isn't always best. Light and portable, easy to assembe Suction was too strong

Terrible – I much prefer my manual breast pump over this one. I ended up selling it as it was too painful for me to use. I did find it easy enough to put together, however I would have to have the setting up really high to get any milk out. One time I just put up with the pain and ened up with purple spots on my nipples! It is a nice small size but overall… Read more

I would not recommend. I used my manual one after this one and it was heaven. Resonable cost and small. I always thought that an electric pump would be easier than a manual but this pump proved my theory wrong. Painful to use and ended up with bruised nipples.

Hi What manual breastpump did you go to after this pump? i have it too and im thinking of getting the Advent manual pump!

Bad – I purchased this pump based on the price and NUK'S great reputation amongst mothers of all generations. The very first time I used this pump I ended up in tears! Although the pump eventually did its job, it was always a slow, tedious and sometimes painful procedure. Often I found the pump difficult to position correctly and comfortably-resulting… Read more

in more wasted time and pain. The pump did not mimic a babies natural sucking reflex (as stated on the box). After six months of persisting with trying to get the pump to be comfortable and efficient, I realised that it WAS in fact the quality of the pump and not the way I was using it, which was of course according to the enclosed instructions. I would only recommend this pump on the grounds of portability or as a spare breast pump to keep in your nappy bag or car. Reasonably priced, portable, lightweight, battery and electric operational settings. Extremely noisy, fiddley, time consuming.

Bad – First, I thought its me - felt really bad for drying out so quick. But, further reading to all the above reviews I feel good to know its not me - "ITS THE STUPID MACHINE" Easy to carry Used it for almost two month was ok so far but, now it just doesn't work. I am full with milk but, hardly any milk comes out. Its shocking!!

Terrible – I used this pump when my son was having problems latching on. It took 3 hours for me to get 30mls! I could actually get more milk out by hand expressing. Using the medula pump (at the hospital) i was able to get more milk out in half an hour. Its not worth saving the money when your time is so much more valuable. Quite portable. I ended up bottle… Read more

feeding my son because this pump did such a poor job. It's an uncomfortable design. It feel cheap and nasty. If you get distracted and dont press the little button that stops the suction it feels like your nipple is going to be torn off.

Terrible – Do not buy this pump. It doesn't work at all. I had to use my manual pump to start my flow and then put it on. It was the only pump in the chemist for under $300, but now I'm bidding on and Avent one which has great reviews on ebay for $100. The Nuk was about $110, but it's resale on ebay is less than $15. Everybody is trying to get rid of… Read more

it didn't work, it hurt (and I have been breastfeeding pain free for 4 months now, so thats saying something) it doesn't pump naturally it just holds the sucking pressure unless you press the button, rediculously noisy - ended up using my manual pump through the night anyway so I didn't wake up the hubby.

Terrible – was given as a present. found it had a constant suction rather than mimicking babies natural sucking motion. nipples became swollen and sore, bleeding at times. unable to express enough for a full feed. would not recommend very painful and slow to use. could spend nearly an hour and be lucky to get 20-30mls - only endd up with sore breasts.

Terrible – I was really unhappy with this pump. It would not get milk out and felt as if all it was doing was sucking my breast into the machine and not releasing it at all. I wish i had done more research on pumps before i had decided to get this one as i in the end had to go and find one at the shopping centre on the day that i got out of hospital (and i… Read more

Terrible – Oh how I wish I had researched this pump before I bought it. I won't even give it away to anyone. Despite being really full of milk, it couldn't express anything and I ended up in tears with the pain. When you need a breast pump, you need it immediately and don't have time for one that simply doesn't work. Cheaper than other electric pumps. A… Read more

waste of money! It hurt. I got no milk (dispite trying even longer than the recommended 7 mins per side). Noisy. Despite being electric, you still have to press a button to initiate each suck.

Terrible – What a disappointment!, I just received my Nuk Breast pump in the mail today after waiting patiently for it so that my husband can help me feed the baby at night only to find that it is useless. I only got 20 mls of milk from it after pumping for the recommended 7 mins each side. I got much more when hand expressing. What a waste of money. Why is… Read more

this on the market when it clearly doesn't work for so many people? Cheap might be cheap but its nasty, very noisy, doesn't suck milk out properly.

Terrible – The suction on this pump is hopeless. I'm extremely disappointed with this and will certainly be letting pregnant friend know so they don't waste their money also. The only Pro to this product is that it matches with my Nuk bottles. Other than that there are absolutely NO pro's to this machine! I borrowed an Avent hand pump for my first child but… Read more

thought I'd go and buy a pump for my second. I love the Nuk bottles so automatically went and bought this pump. It is absolutely useless and a total waste of money. Seriously I would use the Avent Hand pump and get RSI anyday!

Terrible – We bought this pump at a baby show and didn't get a chance to research it, but we thought that being Nuk it would be a good pump. It has done nothing but give my wife pain and cause her nipples to bleed which contaminated the milk. Don't buy it, spend the extra a better quality machine Cheap Painful and slow

Terrible – Don't waste a cent on this pump! It is absolutely rubbish and after using it only once it will now collect dust in the cupboard. I bought it when my daughter was refusing the breast, I'd already been expressing for a month using a hand pump but needed to upgrade to something faster and less tiring and. I didn't get either! The cost-much cheaper… Read more

than other electric breast pumps but having said that you get what you pay for. Very painful on highest setting and even then it didn't extract much milk from my breasts. The instructions state not to use it for more than 7 minutes per side yet after this length of time on one side I only got 10mL out. As a comparison I used my hand pump on the other breast and got out 80mL in 7 minutes!

Terrible – I wish I had never purchased this breast pump. I ended up putting it back in the box and used a friends medela brand pump. I would not recommend this brand to any… Read more

breastfeeding mother. The Nuk Electric breast pump was affordable, easy to assemble and can use batteries or mains. The breast pump was very noisy, took too long to express any breast milk (only got small amounts at a time unless the breast was rock hard) and hurt my nipples.

Terrible – This was given to me as a gift. I have only used it a few times and then got so feed up with it I went and brought a new different brand pump. Terrible – I found this breast pump to be terrible. By using it for the recommended time (7 minutes) I could not get more than 30mls expressed out and I have a reasonable milk supply. To get this amount I had to have the pressure set to maximum and it was painful on my nipple. The electric release button I found to be quite cumbersome to get a rhythm from… Read more

that actually got a free release of milk. I would not recommend this pump to any mother and would prefer to use a hand pump to this product. Both mains and battery option Noisy and could not get a reasonable amount of milk from it.

Terrible – Dont waste your money on this type of pump. Depending on how much milk you need to pump, but for me it was pumping all my milk yup 1.2 litres a day in fact. A milking cow i say. I used a professional grade medela select pump in style traveller which costs around $500 but worth every sent of it indeed. Look into the option of hiring out pumps if… Read more

Bad – This is so noisy it frightens my baby and my toddler puts her hands over her ears. The battery compartment would never close past the first day and I always had it taped up.As far as trying to re sell this pump... you can't give them away. Price wise it is affordable and is a compact size. Very noisy and battery compartment broke straight away.

Bad – I am very disappointed in this breast pump for a few reasons. I used 2 different electric pumps at the hospital, and just had to hold them in place while they did the job. With this one you have to sit there and use your finger to imitate the on/off suction. Your finger gets tired - the same way your hand does with a manual pump! Also it is very… Read more

painful even on the low setting. They say you should not use it for more than 7 minutes on each breast, but you have to to get any substantial amount out. I hope I wont have to use it again. The look is great. It is easy to set up and take apart. It hurts and takes way too long to express the smallest amount. Also you have to use your finger to make the on/off suction action.

OK – Besides the pumps at hospital, I havent tried any other brands. This was given to me by my sister in law who never needed to use it. It is noisy. Bad – I wish I had of researched different products before I purchased. It was a cheap pump as I brought it on sale, but i think it's a complete waste of money.
