I previously had the Nutri Ninja Mega Kitchen System, which I reviewed here: https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/82b01c70-653b-3cdb-aa82-fe6b19cd628b
Unfortunately, late last year the motor in my unit burned out after about 7 years of constant use. What I realized though is I used the juicing capabilities more than anything, so I set out to find a similar juicing system. Ninja was on the list along with Nutri Bullet and a few others. Having loved my previous Ninja, my bias fell towards this NINJA BLENDER DUO WITH AUTO-IQ - BL642 system as...
Read more it seemed perfect for what I needed now: 1) a good size pitcher for juicing up a few liters at a time; 2) multiple various size drinking cups to drink stuff on the go. The cups come in 3 sizes, and the openings are massive compared to my previous version. It's welcomed! I can easily fit bigger chunks of fruits/veggies. Not to mention the screw on drinking caps are significantly easier to drink from. As an added bonus, the lid as the snap-down mouth piece so when you're not actually drinking from it, you can be sure that if the cup falls over your contents won't leak out all over the place. The main pitcher itself also seems more solid than the previous incarnation. The blades are essentially the same, and do a great job at pulverizing everything with the exception of kale - it just can't seem to get it down to something fine. the base unit has nice features. All the buttons are lit with a blue LED depending on whether you have the pitcher or drinking cup in, as not all features are available for all accessories.- 2 reviews
We've had a couple of different ninja models now. They're great at first and really crush the ice pretty well, although I find the other model that only takes a cup to be a lot better. I made quite a few things with this particular model. Unfortunately, the longevity of all my ninjas (we had a two for one deal both times so 4 all up), is subpar. The different containers were useful, but this one just stops working. And then we might try it after a while and it works again out of the blue! The engine overheats easily and we don't run it for ages...
Read more as you're only supposed to use it for around 15-20 second bursts at a time. Now we're looking for a more reliable brand to do the same job, but it looks like a common issue with these type of ice crushing blenders.Purchased at Harvey Norman.

We looked at purchasing a food processor, a Nutri bullet and a kenwood- ultimately decided to go with the ninja because of its price point and comparable features. We were looking purely for making smoothies and baby purées, some marinades and sauces. This blender does all of those things really well! It is on the noisier side, but manageable. That stability suction grips on the bottom are great as our previous blender didn’t have these and that was difficult as you couldn’t leave it. The IQ blend is great, one press and our smoothies are blend...
Read moreed to perfection. Very important to stack ingredients in order (I.e fresh, leafy, liquid, dry, ice) and not go over the max line as it makes blending difficult - which is why they give you an easy visual guide in their instruction booklet. It’s definitely user friendly and my “technologically challenged” husband finds it easy to use also. The travel cups are conveniently sized and make it easy for a small, moderate and large snack / meal prep. Highly recommend if you have any doubts!Purchased in November 2021 at The Good Guys for $199.

I actually love this i wish at the time i had model with slicing and shredding blades but i don't really need it as i have a tefal companion with has those. I love the bowl have made pancakes in the blender and bowl both worked just as good. I have whipped 300ml cream as all i had in the bowl with plastic blade took just 30 seconds on medium. One of the things i loved the most was that the blades come out to wash so much easier than last blender.

I’m on my second blender. The first worked great for the first year then started playing up. It would not blend. When I put the jug on top the light lit up but could not connect to start blending. It was out of warranty so I ditched and reluctantly bought another one. Same thing has happened AGAIN!! Not happy Jan!!!

Sent back via flybuys rewards. It took about 2 weeks for a response - basically send it back and we'll replace it, so I have the new one now. It took so long because I forgot to reply to the email and tell them I'd sent it - this is needed to trigger postage of the replacement unit. The replacement took a couple weeks to arrive by the time they responded to the email and it gets through the Christmas postage delays. If I had my time again, I'd have gotten store gift vouchers instead of redeeming points to get the product, I hav...

Purchased a new ninja blender on second use it totally melted the case and caught fire. I reached out to technical service and warranty to see what they could do as far as a replacement and I was told or rather questions on ingredients that I use in my smoothie. They literally wanted to know how many blueberries I put in my drink. This is simply the worst blender I do not recommend nor any ninja products

I was sceptical when I bought this but knew I had a if-you-don't-like-it-you-can-return-it guarantee. It worked great, so powerful it could easily blend cooked rice (for crackers) or chickpeas (for hummus). Its design usually ensured that there weren't unmixed ingredients left on the top, bottom or sides of the blender. At about 2 years of ownership, the blender bowl seized up and wouldn't turn. The manufacturer was very unhelpful as it was out of warranty and wouldn't even recognise the Australian Consumer Law Guarantee, they couldn't repl...
Read moreace the bowl as they didn't make them anymore. They were very slow to respond to me (like months) and the best they could do was offer to sell me another blender for $200. I was lucky and I took up the return guarantee from the shop I bought it from. I won't knowingly buy from this supplier again.Purchased in December 2018 at Costco VIC, Ringwood for $249.99.

I have it for one year now and works great. I make smoothies, soup, cocktail and everything, it’s very noisey and loud but still I love it. Highly recommended to buy

I purchased this product from the Good guys, at a good price. The product itself has performed as expected. The motor is powerful and deals with most requirements really well.
My most recent purchase was subject to warranty claim because the spout on the blender lid broke.
When I rang Mann and Noble (Ninja agent) how to proceed with claim their representative suggested I could wait till April this year for part or seek help through Good Guys - not helpful really.
This is the second problem I’ve had with lids to the Ninja. I had to replace t...
Read morehe blender lid for my first machine, which was out of warranty. That’s ok, but my experience with Mann and Noble, was poor in two ways, poor communication and long wait times to receive part. So, if all goes well with machine it is a great asset to any household and I’ve supported this with purchasing two machines, but dealing with warrantee claims and purchasing spare parts is problematic.Purchased in February 2021 at The Good Guys for $259.

This is one insanely powerful blender! Packed with 1500w power, would crushed anything even chunky ice. Couldn’t be more happy with this lil machine - it’s worth paying $200+! Not to mention it’s incredibly versatile having a standard size blender with multiple sharp blades and also the 3 different sizes of Nutri Bullet for 1-2 serves of smoothies! Easy to clean and has 4 suction in the bottom of the unit for super sturdy operation - it has a couple of clutch in the side of the unit for easy un-suctioning the unit. VERY HAPPY with this purchase.

On Sunday 16th August 2020 I purchased this so I could make dough and heaps of smoothies also I can blend things as well for when I move into my own unit in March 2021. The Ninja never arrived so on Monday 8th March 2021 I called the Brighton Store and Brodie rang me back to say that it got lost in transit so he sent me a replacement, which arrived on Thursday 11th March 2021.

Bought this blender just over a year ago and probably used it once a fortnight at most. A few weeks ago I noticed it was getting hot and making a screaming noise. Used it 2 more times till it melted on the inside and filled my kitchen with smoke!
What a piece of junk! I won’t be buying one of these again

I bought the Duo this to replace my previous Ninja IQ. I use it in my food truck and it flawlessly blends frozen fruit and ice within 20 seconds. The first blender lasted for 1000's of shakes. Highly recommend.

This has been a great blender for years. After reading terrible reviews of almost every blender I tried to purchase, I got a Ninja. The auto iq shuts the blender off to protect the motor burning out (which is the problem with other blenders, as far as I can tell).
Powerful blender and hasn’t missed a beat!
Love it
