As smooth as it gets – I like it. It makes a great smoothie. The problem I have with it is the width of the top. Having a bit of arthritis (not much) makes it a call your husband situation to take the top off. Otherwise all good. Show details

Better than average – Easy to use. Blends well. Easy to clean. Good value for money. Only downfall is that it is VERY loud. I find I try to use it quickly because it is painfully loud. Show details

Disappointing, noisy and no customer service – Received as a gift. I used it for less than 20 times and the actual blade part was not running smoothly. I brought this to the online dept , to be told , this was a highly wearable part and replacement is expected. I complained and asked they replace it , which they refused and now won't reply to even the politest of emails. Now the motor unit… Read more

has stopped working. It is obviously a contact problem in the pressure switch. Poor product and even worse customer service.

4 stars because of noise otherwise perfect!! – Great machine to blend smoothies, juices etc. However- it's VERY noisy!! Also, make sure you clean the blending blades and containers immediately as cleaning can get a bit difficult with the intricate threads. Otherwise, its a great little blender-very powerful!  Show details

Simple is best – Had used the narrow version for quite a while but wanted a bit more versatility. This is the perfect upgrade. It is a simple plug n play item. No buttons, speeds or timers. Just load it up with your ingredients, lock it into place and push down. It is powerful and does a very thorough job of blitzing everything to tiny fragments. Show details

Can’t actually blend and is incredibly noisy – I owned a cheap single serve blender previously that blended smoothies and cream cheese dips that everyone loved. This unit was to replace it and I expected even better with its powerful engine. However it couldn’t create dips, no matter how much liquid I added. Even with liquid up to the marker it couldn’t chop the chives. It also cannot chop… Read more

frozen banana mixed in with normal banana and milk for a smoothie. I left it to chop well past my old blenders time, checked it, still big lumps left, blended some more, still big lumps etc. it never ended up being able to chop the frozen banana. It only seems to be able to handle items already liquid... milk, honey, yoghurt. If I place some almonds in it. I end up with some chopped and some only cut to half their size. The blender sometimes leaks even when fully tightened. And after using it twice daily for a week, it gets jammed and won’t unlock or stop without force. Only good point... it’s engine is still going even though it can’t chop. I will say too, it smelt like smoke the first few uses. I also feel like the cup design is off compared to my old cheap blender. As while it’s blending you can see the liquid moving but doesn’t create movement up the top enough to move things down.

Should be named UNprofessional - a marvel of life limited design – Bought the 'professional' as it high powered and appeared capable of coping with multiple daily demands (3 per day). It replaced a 4 year old Kmart Homemaker brand $15 unit and that was amazing, but we figured 6x the price would get us an incredible unit. The blades are good but it emits a smoke smell from time to time, now leaks and is nearly… Read more

impossible to engage as it requires a push down to blend. The sensor or switch that connects to the motor is faulty. Not a fan at all of this system - better to have an on/off toggle switch.

Funnily enough this all went pear shaped at around the end of the warranty period.

Great performance but a nightmare to keep clean – Performance is good, makes great smoothies and is used at least once a day. Have only had the product a couple of weeks. Really disappointed with the design from a cleaning perspective. After a couple of uses we noticed a really disgusting smell and a search online led me to remove the rubber seal. It is not easy to get the rubber seal out but… Read more

I assume it needs to come out after every use as when I removed it there was food residue on it which was causing the smell. It is hard to remove the rubber seal as it is in a fairly deep recessed area but seems like a design issue. On this basis I am only giving the product a 2 star rating, great performance but is let down by hard to keep clean.

2nd unit broke just after 12 months - not designed to last – This is now the 2nd unit that has had the motor seize up on me just after 12 months. These appliances are not built to last and be prepared to throw out after 12 months. Both units failed in the same way with engine seizing and smoke coming out of machine. Also found this unit difficult to use as you have to stand and press it down and cant just leave to blend. Don’t recommend. Show details

Doesn’t blend – We have a magic bullet which stopped working so we thought we would upgrade. Unfortunately this blender just doesn’t work. It’s very powerful and loud, but you constantly have to shake it to get it blending the whole contents which takes a long time. It seems to be something in the way the blades sit as it blends the lower half of anything you put… Read more

in Very well but not the upper portion. I guess it might be ok for items with more liquid in but that’s not any good if you want to blend thicker. Just disappointing I’m afraid and we hope to be able to return.

I hate it – it's very loud, like embarrassingly loud and my ears always ring afterwards. despite blending for a fairly long time (I've used several other blenders in the past, most of them cheaper than this one so I know how long blending should take) it still ends up with lumps. I even take the cup out, shake it, blend more, keep blending. no matter what I… Read more

get lumps. I'm only blending banana and frozen banana with milk and protein powder and it can't do a good job. It's a piece of junk, very large as well. Tried blending frozen mango pieces with milk just now, same result as above. it just doesn't blend well, I think it must be related to the very wide opening. other blenders I've used and seen don't have such a wide cup.

Not so good – Had to change my review of this product. The design is terrible. The blades are great it does a good job however you can’t clean under the gasket where food and liquids get trapped. After a few days I was noticing a distinct very foul smell from the inside area. You can’t clean that in any way. You can’t remove the gasket either. I have contacted… Read more

the company only for them to tell me there is no way of removing the gasket and I would need to buy a new extractor blade assembly. Poor design, lucky for me I was able to get a refund and have now purchased a much better blender with a better design. Shame it had so much promise to begin with.

Absolute Rubbish! – So disappointed with this Ninja Pro 900w and is little wonder it’s been discontinued - it’s absolute RUBBISH. I bought one to replace my old ninja approx 4 months ago. That one got progressively harder and harder to use - requiring you to push down with super human strength to get the motor to work until eventually it just stopped working… Read more

altogether. Thinking I’d gotten a bad one I returned it to Big W about a week ago and replaced with another of the same model. Well, this one has officially lasted just over a week and done the exact same thing - completely refused to operate this morning. I’m beyond angry as it’s not super convenient to get to Big W and beyond me how crap like this can pass quality control. And yes, I did everything right - my original Ninja was a workhorse - which I why I decided to upgrade to this model. DO NOT BUY THIS APPLIANCE - it’s useless - I would have given it no stars if I could.

Power Power power – I have been loyal to the nutribullet for many years, but after reading many reviews about it failing after a year, I also experienced this myself. I investigated this ninja and must say it is noticeably different. More power for sure and I have confidence it will last much longer. Show details

Excellent blender – I went from a cheap $20 blender to one of these. Bought it on sale $79. So far I haven’t had any issues. Does the job. No lumps. Great blender. Only downside is that it’s noisy but that’s to be expected from most of these high power blenders. Show details

Amazing!! – Such a good blender. Used DAILY for icy smoothies for the last 3 years. One time about a year ago it made a really funny noise when hubby turned it on. Turns out my husband left a spoon in there. The blender still worked WITH A SPOON IN THERE. It still works like new. Definitely recommend!!  Show details

Love it! – Great little gadget, gets through most food. It can get a bit clogged due to the small bowl. Doesn't take up a lot of room. I've tried the Magic Bullet, small and larger versions. I prefer the Nutri Ninja. Does breadcrumbs, cream and smoothies well. Sometimes is gets clogged though.  Show details

Obsessed! Love it sooooo much! – I have had my nutri ninja for 4 years! I love it so much, I made smoothies in it, nice-cream, blend fresh curry pastes, homemade pasta sauces, make crepe batter and my absolute favourite is making cocktails in it! I bought it on sale at Woolies for $89 and it's been my most used kitchen appliance by a long shot. The only golden rule is to never… Read more

ever blend anything hot in it, not even warm. Everything must be cold or room temp.

I don't get all the comments about it being loud? It's a blender? this literally does not bother me one bit.

Okay but not that durable – Purchased fro the Good Guys. Blends smoothies easily albeit very noisily! Purchased about three months ago. Recently, dropped the screw in cover which incorporates the blade onto a timber floor. The plastic lid broke. Replacement is $54.95. The whole unit including motor and attachment cost me $99! Not a very durable product as it only fell a distance of one metre onto timber floor.  Show details

Great little machine – I use this machine several times a day and it has been going strong for many months. It blends anything with great force and i never had any problem with the unit itself. The seals on the cups however have started to deteriorate after lots of use, but these can be replaced easily.  Show details

88 dBA - too loud!! – I can't recommend this product. Well one can't start one up in a store now can they? Purchased through JB Hi-Fi. The unit is extremely loud. I recorded the sound level 1 m from the noise source and it measured 88 dBA, which is similar to a lawn mower. We now wear industrial ear-muffs each morning when making smoothies. So it's just the motor… Read more

It has been my daily blend since I bought it – I have always been skeptical towards these branded "quick and healthy" blenders. Finally when the price came down at The Good Guys I decided to buy one to try it for myself. My life has never been the same since. I had a $20 cheap blender and it was a nightmare to clean. Great for smoothies and soups – I was tossing between the Nutribullet and the Ninja. So glad I bought the Ninja as its very handy and great to use!! Makes the best iced coffees within minutes! – I bought this at Harvey Norman! It has a very powerful blade and blends up almost everything to an extent!
