O'Neil hyperfreak very badly made – Bought the Hyperfreak 2mm wetsuit - used 20times, the inside tape is falling off, stitching is coming loose - honestly the quality of ONeil wetsuits has gone massivley downhill. For a premium price ($350) don't buy this wetsuit, find a $200 on that will last more than 20 uses.
Faulty O'Neill's women's thongs – I bought O'Neill thongs for my daughter. Just out of the 1 month warranty period (by a few days) and the print on the thongs is peeling off in multiple areas. I purchased these from Anaconda and they will not refund these faulty products as it is out of the 1 month warranty. This tells me that O'Neill only believe their thongs will last 1 month! What a rip off!!!!
The BEST Rash Vest! – O’Neil’s Psycho UV Short Sleeve Rash Vest, is truly the best quality and cut! The fabric is perfect, choices in colours too. RipCurl and Quicksilver fabric is not as thick as it used to be. O’Neill has same fabric thickness and high quality as ever! Show details
Do not buy these poorly made wetsuits – Bought short sleeve steamer at local surf shop. After only 7 weeks of 50mm section of seam on the side has come undone and a piece of material the size of a twenty cent piece has delaminated off the chest. Took it back to local surf shop and they sent it back to Oneil for a warranty repair. Five weeks later the wetsuit was returned to local surf… Read more
shop with no repairs. They refused to even fix it. I have only purchased ripcurl wetsuits for the last 15 years, and they usually last two to three years. Nothing like this has happened before. Will not buy any ONeil products again. The poor customer service matches the poor quality of the wetsuits.
A brand that has seen better days – I have been a loyal customer for my last 7 wetsuits, all top of the range (Psychofreak). After only 1 winter my last 4/3 FUZE steamer suffered multiple cracking of the welded seams rendering it extremely uncomfortable. The lack of engagement from Customer Service was extremely frustrating and to even obtain a reply was a challenge. I canvassed… Read more
opinions from friends who I knew had O'Neill wetsuits and they all have similar stories regarding recent purchases.
Excellent quality. Top customer service! – Bought an O'Neill full body front zipper wetsuit. The shipment left just ONE! hour after placing my online order and got delivered within three days, amidst full corona lock-down. The product is exactly as per size chart. As I am an in between size, and other producers' charts just wouldn't fit my body measurements, I was very happy to find… Read more
O'Neill catering for all kinds of body shapes. The quality is top with the inner lining making it really comfy and cosy to wear, even on a cold day. Fitting like a second skin, it is designed in a way it's easy to bend and move around. The most comfortable wetsuit I have worn so far.
Quality has gone way downhill – Used to be a reliable brand but the quality of the clothing has collapsed - cheap material that waffles and stretches after a couple of washes, low quality zippers that snag and refuse to zip. Worse than Target, but with a premium pricetag. Avoid.
Exemplary customer service – We recently had an issue with an O'Neil wetsuit. The company dealt with it directly as the store from which we purchased it had closed down. Even though it was just outside the warranty period, they replaced the product. Their communication was prompt and friendly and the replacement came very quickly. One of the best experiences I have had with a company that I can remember.
