Awful product. I’ve been using Olay moisturisers for years so thought I’d try their cleanser. Very disappointing. It smells like plain soap and leaves my face squeaking without a drop of moisture. Way too drying. Show details

Chemical burn – I wish I could give this 0 stars. I think this product gave me chemical burn. I couldn't see for hours and I had to pull over while driving. My skin is so dry after this and my eyes and red and hurt so bad. This is terrible! I don't know how this is still on the shelves. Show details

Tried others but at this price can’t beat it – I can’t afford anything super expensive but I won’t use anything that isn’t worth the money either- this is the only moisturiser I have found (always buy on sale) that actually makes a difference- if I use anything else it’s visibly different- never as good- always buy this but I don’t use the spf version… Show details

Absolutely love the Touch of Foundation version – I’m not that keen on the standard version but the touch of foundation is absolutely wonderful. It gives a really natural tint and I assume it’s the B vitamins that improve skin clarity beautifully. I highly recommend it as the best tint moisturiser Show details

Swollen face – After the first application I developed an allergic reaction to it. Face became swollen especially around eyes. There were red patches and itchiness. Bought the product from Amazon. Wonder if it is original. Show details

Unfortunately, not the same as the original formulation which I really miss! – Here's the low down: 'Olay Total Effects' provides adequate moisturisation. moisturising (water versus oil ratio was well balanced and not at all oily), had an agreeable gentle scent, was non-irritating and quite calming for my skin. I loved using the product back then and noticed significant improvements to my skin. I have heard the same story from other people I know (including my mother) who have also noticed the drastic change between the original formula and the modern ones.

Then . . . . .

The modern version(s) of the cream were sneakily introduced, where it was claimed that their formula was somewhat 'improved'. These new formulas are not velvety soft, but more runnier and less creamy. There is no veil effect and it becomes quite irritating for my skin over the days while I use it, although I have a strong skin barrier. So, I question why has such a previously great formula been down-graded to such a degree. Are cheaper ingredients being used? The Beauty Scientists busily working in the Olay/Proctor & Gamble Laboratories are obviously not on point and need to once again make Olay Total Effects cream a game changer.

Unfortunately, I am no longer a keen fan of this cream. When the cream is re-formulated and is on par with the original, then I may re-consider using such a product again. I do come back to this cream occasionally, but I get put off yet once again.

Burned face and swollen – Used one time and will be throwing it away. Burned face. Swollen throughout neck. Can tell face is going to peel. It's been over 48 hours and it is getting worse. DON'T USE THIS PRODUCT!!! Show details

Adverse reaction on skin – I applied Olay 7 in 1 day-cream in the evening and by next early morning my face was swollen like a red tomato. My eyelids were swollen and the skin was burning and itching terribly. on my face .. on the 4th day, it started to clear up. Will never try this product again. The active ingredient must be avobenzene.

HORRIBLE! DO NOT USE - IT BURNS YOUR SKIN – I have never had an allergic reaction to anything in my life and have used oil of olay products before without a problem, but this cream left my face red and burnt. It left me with such a burning sensation I had to go to a doctor as then I started to get puffy and unwell. HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT USE! – This product Olay total effects 7 in 1 made my skin burn, itch swelled up and turned red it’s making my skin peel really bad It happened less then 5 minutes after I applied it I also tried washing it off but it didn’t help. Very disappointed – I have been using this product for more than 30 years. A few months back Coles had the product on sale so I purchased a few. near my eyes since but am still using it on other parts of my face. My eye area is now very wrinkled which is the exact opposite reason for using Olay. Have you changed the ingredients in your product, is Coles buying Black Market Clones????? What has happened to Olay Total Effects? I have an appointment with a skin specialist next week.

Extreme skin reaction – I applied this product in the morning and by evening I started to feel a reaction. The following morning my neck and forehead began to itch. Started on antihistamines straight away taking twice a day. 2 days later it’s even worse, with raised lumps with white puss filled heads. Terrible product for me – I had an adverse reaction. My eyes are still red 3 days in a row and my face is still burning and swollen. I've never had any reaction to any other products ever. So no thanks to your products. What a shame!

Disappointing - doesn't work for me – This moisturizer claims to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, uneven tone, age spots, uneven texture, dryness, dullness and pores. Despite applying it as per instructions and twice per day, it does not moisturize my skin at all. My skin feels somewhat drier after applying it quite liberally. In addition, it has an unpleasant odour. I also note it is made in Thailand - it is so unfortunate we cannot make our own skin care products in Australia. Show details

Feels good on the skin but woke up with a rash, burnt and irritated skin! Such a harsh product.
