Be care full, the shed sheets are not stamped with blue scope and in less then a year I have paint bubbling at the bottom of the sheets. But when asked was told it was a install issue because there has to be a gap of 5mm between the bottom of the steel and concrete floor allowing for every spider and millipede to enter. Show details

Olympic Industries advised was one of their best installers, knowingly fitted the incorrect colour flashing to the front gable. We paid for Monument, not Surfmist here. The installer did not tell us until the last minute that the incorrect colour flashing was sent. We immediately organised for the correct colour to be sent, and advised the installer it was arriving that day, but the installer went ahead anyway and installed the wrong colour. There was also silicone smeared over the corners of the front flashings, giving the carport an ugly look which we did not want, nor asked for, and was unacceptable. A complaint to the installer only resulted in us being abused by him, with strong demands for us to pay him, otherwise he would come around and tear down the carport. A complaint to Olympic Industries direct, resulted in them saying they would resolve the problem. Four months later, they sent one of their employees, who we believed to be Olympic Industries engineer, out to replace the damaged and incorrect flashings. This person replaced them with buckled up pieces of metal, drilled holes in the roof, and he put dents in the roof of our carport. We were shocked as to why someone would do such a thing. It was so unbelievable. After speaking with the sales manager about this, she was very cold and rude, and heartless, advising us to fix the problem at our own cost. She even refused to come out and have a look at the damage which was done. She advised that Olympic Industries did not want to know about the problem. She kept repeating to me to fix it ourselves, and that Olympic Industries and will not be paying to have the damage caused by their employee fixed. The general manager was slightly more helpful, advising us that they would replace the damaged materials, but they would not foot the cost of us getting a professional to do this work. Really??? We are not confident that their measurements are correct and do not trust they will get it correct. We offered a solution to resolve the problem by us getting our own independent roof professional to measure, order, and repair the damage to our carport. This offer was bluntly refused by the manager. All we want is what we paid for, which is a quality carport measured and built correctly. I would like to know why the carport was not built to industry standards and correct in the first place, as per the plans. I cannot get an answer from Olympic Industries. We trusted them. They let us down. Where is the professionalism? Where is the quality work? Where is the good customer service? How disappointing, especially considering that we have spent approximately $50,000.00 with Olympic Industries.
