Good – I would give this camera 5/5 if it wasn't for the aspect ratio. I checked and most if not all Olympus cameras have the same issue. Still, when I checked the equivalent Canon camera at the time it did not shoot in TIFF format, which I needed. Shoots in various file formats: TIFF, varied levels of JPGs and RAW. Auto and preset functions are excellent for when you don't have time or patience to choose manual settings. Crisp clear images. Olympus stocks a wide range additional add-on lenses,as well as a waterproof case if you are into underwater shooting. I bought a longer-range zoom lens for mine which worked out great for wildlife shooting. Does not shoot in standard 2:3 aspect ratio. Meaning that the ratio of height to width does not correspond to standard printing sizes (i.e. 6 x 4", 5 x 7", etc). So when you go to print photos at an outlet one of the following might happen: 1) the photos are auto zoomed & cropped and some of the image you saw through the lens is sliced off, 2) you have to manually zoom and crop each image at the kiosk (sometimes a fee is charged for each zoom & crop!) OR 3) the image is shrunk to fit the whole of your image within the print size. I tend to go to a printer whose kiosk lets me choose to shrink to fit with one button and print one size larger than I would have - this usually means printing 5x7 instead of 6x4. This camera wants to print onto paper 6x4.5" so with a standard 6x4 print you lose some of the height if your image if filling the paper, and with white stripes down the sides if printing to fit. Your other option is to crop the image to a 2:3 ratio using Photoshop or similar before printing but this is very time consuming. It is also time consuming to choose manual settings and sometimes the photo opportunity was lost by the time I'd selected all the options with the digital menu - however I think many digital cameras would have that problem.
