to their website at wwa.com.au and request a service call.....heard nothing! The heater is sitting gathering dust and was a total waste of money as only useful as a door stop. Don't waste your hard earned money buying this product!

Follow-up  · Apparently this is a common fault with the,Altise Brigadier Natural Gas Heater and has not been rectified by the manufacturer and while they are under warranty all they do is keep replacing the faulty parts with the same parts and the issues continues...... do not waste your hard earned money on this Heater.

I used it twice and then I could not get the Pilot light to light it up. I rang up Altise to try and get some technical help. She was so rude and told me to get an authorised technician to come out. I paid $999.00 for something that is no good. I would never buy from this supplier again. There is no-one that you can speak to and they have no after buying service. Show details

Regrettable purchase – Purchased 2yrs ago & we've had nothing but problems with it since the start. Wish we had returned it immediately, but decided to persevere. ‍ The heater has barely been used in the 2 years we've owned it & we've only just started 'attempting' to use it again for this winter, but it won't stay lit at all now, cuts off within minutes or instantly.… Read more

Useless & frustrating, especially as we've only used it for approximately 2-3 mths total in the past 2 years! Chose mediation with the company before posting this review and received a message from them suggesting that the cutting off problem may be due to the heater being to big for the area & lack of oxygen could be causing the problem. They also suggested opening a door for airflow. I've responded to this with the fact that a door or window has been left open, we only generally light 3 bars & the heater is positioned in a large open plan area, but l haven't received any further response from them yet. Now, after reading many reviews stating the same problem, l have to wonder if there is a fault in the heater?

Great heater, once you get it fixed (turns off randomly) – My old heater was starting to play up and with Harvey Norman having this one on sale it was an obvious choice. Unfortunately I also has the issue of it turning off all the time and had a noisy fan. I contacted the Shriro Service Centre directly. I went to their web site and filled out a simple form and had a reply that very afternoon (Thanks… Read more ·  1

Cathryn M).

The service guys came out and were able to fix the issue of it turning off at random times. They unplugged the gas line while it was on to see how long the flame lasted. They said it should stay on for about 8 seconds but mine was only lasting 4. They got it to 6 seconds but they still weren’t happy and managed to get it to 8 with some further adjustments. Maybe a change in gas pressure was enough to make it turn off randomly. They also commented on the loud fan and that was also looked at.

I now have a heater that has no issues at all. It never turns off unexpectantly and the fan is super quiet.

Many thanks to Stuart and Jeremy from Shriro for your work and giving me what is now a great heater. I would normally give this heater 5 stars but I took one off as it should be like that from the factory.

Does the job – I have a 75m2 room and the heater heats it from a cold 12C to a very warm 24C in about 3 hours on full power and full fan. It can go a bit higher, but I turn it to low flame after this. Isn’t noisy, but it gets a bit stuffy so I open a sliding door just a a little after an hour or two. I have a CO2 metre and this goes up to about 5000ppm on high… Read more ·  1

heat after 3 hours but down after the sliding door is open to about 1-2000ppm whilst the heater is on, with the temperature staying even about 24C. I read 8 hours is the recommended cautious limit recommended for 5000ppm co2, so best to open a window or door a little after an hour or two, if you have it on all day or evening. This is cautious, as CO2 isn’t dangerous unless much higher, which you can’t get with this heater. It’s just a general ‘stuffiness’ you can notice.

Gas is a bit cheaper than electric so this is why I bought it, plus I like the traditional fire flame. Haven’t had any trouble with lighting the gas or buttons, it might get blown out if there is a draught coming from outside but you just switch it back on. Easy to connect to an indoor gas outlet. You have to keep the ignition button down for about 10 seconds to start, as per instructions.

Works well and is powerful for larger rooms and hallways but you need to open a window or door just a little to stop stuffiness, but it still then maintains heat well.

Cheaply built, good heat output when works, noisy fan – Capable of heating a large room well when works. After 4 months’ use started shutting itself off. Initially it was only once a day or so to not lasting more than a few minutes. Wanted to return to store of purchase for exchange, only to be told it needed inspection by technician. 70km round trip to nearest authorised repair centre and three… Read more

weeks later issue apparently fixed (writing this review after 30 min use, so will see long term). One of the burner tiles not glowing red after service, although flame present. Fan function so noisy and rattling the whole thin metal cabinet that I was forced to turn it off. Build quality very cheap, rattly thin metal. In comparison our smaller Rinnai gas heater has performed flawlessly and whisper quiet for 12 years. Do yourself a favour, spend a bit extra and buy a Rinnai heater instead.

Disappointed on 1st day of purchase – Recently purchased this item and from day 1 it does not ignite the tiles. I can hear it and smell the gas but the tiles do not light up. Called the support line and have to wait 1 week for technician to come. You may want to test your products before they reach the consumer. Do Not Buy – Purchased this heater May 2019 (3 yrs Warranty) and regretted it immediately as it is extremely noisy. part and stated it would not happen again. 2021 again same problem. I spoke Omega service department twice in the last 2 weeks seeking a refund on the heater - no response, so today (29/4/21) I spoke with them again and booked a service. Do not buy this heater, Omega does not provide proper customer support nor do they respond when dissatisfied customers request refund. No wonder I see so many of these heaters up for sale of FB buy swap and sell sites

starter flame wont stay lit. Called warranty support, they routed me to Gasrite (outsourced to external agency), they are saying they dont have the part and it could take 2days to 2 weeks. It has already been 2 weeks. Even if they repair it now, I have a feeling that it will break in a few months. Dont buy, spend a little extra and buy from another reliable brand.

Fixed easily and wonderful now – My last review I was unhappy about the time it took to light, and it kept going out. They sent a service man out to fix it. He took about 2 minutes and had it running nicely and now quickly. There is a kit they put in ones like mine, this one already had it but looks like it wasn't positioned right. Lights now in less than 30 seconds and stays on. Heats the room great. Now I am happier with the purchase. Show details ·  1

Ignition won't stay on – 2nd time in less than 1 year. I bought this product from Harvey Norman at end of July 2019. I had problem with it less than a month later when the ignition would not work. It was repaired shortly after. However the SAME PROBLEM has resurfaced again. SO FAR, SO GOOD – We had our Rinnai 6 tile fan forced natural gas heater for 31 years - it heated a large open plan living/ dinning/ kitchen area very effectively. decided to buy a new heater instead of spending money on repairing the old Rennia but could not find another heater equivalent to the Rinnai other than the 7 tile fan forced Everdure Brigadier NG Radiant Convection heater.

So far, we are very impressed by the superior heat output produced by the Brigadier which even on a low setting capably copes in heating our large area. Our only concern is how good the build quality/ durability/ reliability of this heater will be - but only time will tell.

We purchased from Powerland at Warwick Farm via ebay for $633.00 delivered

Works well – Previously owned an electronically controlled indoor space heater. The issue with them is that the solid state control makes its own mind up about energy output and this limited full heating when I needed it based on its logic programming. Indoor units cant exceed 25 mJ (megajoules) of energy due to safety reasons with oxygen depletion risks. … Read more ·  1

Most sales people will ask your room size as they might suggest a lesser capacity unit to be compliant. This unit uses radiant tiles with a convecting fan. The difference is that I know the heater is at full energy output as I can see all the tiles all operate. The fan is a metal forward curved scroll type and this is efficient for air delivery but I found it a bit noisy on high speed. This design has been around since the late 1980's and its proven given they rate mine at a 6 star energy rating.

Basic operation safetys such as thermocouple flame failure and ODS (oxygen depletion sensor). Easy to use, punches out the heat. Works on my preferred principle of K.I.S.S or keep it simple stupid. Very happy with the unit so far. The only issue I has is when unboxed my one, I found the lower hinged louvered cover grill loose, hanging down and needed re-allignment to fix in place , as it would not stay up (required bending of the spring hinges back to stay up) , This to me is typical mass produced quality ignored arrangements. Yet I can forgive that.

Want simple, get this one

Ready for retirement – We have had our brigadier for 25 years now, it's had a new starter and flip round of tiles. Been excellent heater, but now it's going to cost $225 for service plus 3 new tiles, that's half the cost of a new fire, if it was $225 for everything would have it done, but feel that's too expensive and will buy a new one with warranty.
