My dishwasher appeared good with lights, buttons and sound working. When it's turned on, there's no heating or draining even though the time is counting down. It's unusually silent. At the end of the cycle, the dirty dishes are not washed. I engaged a plumber to check, all was working. Any ideas or help is much appreciated.

We have the above omega dishwasher - installed brand new 4 years ago. Works perfectly however over past 2-3 months I can’t change the program from 2.20 to 1hr … how can resolve this ???

I changed mine to 1hr 30 by pressing ‘program’ and then going through the programs until I got the one I wanted then press ‘start’.

Thanks but as stated my problem is that nothing happens when I press the program button …. It stays on 2.20hr … we’re thinking it might be a capacitor???

4 yr old machine - The cleaning arms have decided not to spin. I would at a guess say the teenage boys have been loading the machine with dirty plates and bowls as I have found peas, spaghetti etc and some other remnants in within the filter and also past the filters. I took the liberty of giving the whole thing a good clean but they still refuse to spin. Is there any where else besides to obvious that might need a clean, or am I safe to say the pump will need replacing.

Have had the washer for a few years now and it's worked okay. However now it is coming up with an error message and the water is not entering the machine properly. We have changed the valve on the waterline to the inlet hose to no effect. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

Best try googling the error code or finding a copy of the manual with it in it.

How do you remove the spray arms and open up to get rid of old food clogged up in the holes?

PatFromBriz

No Idea, I haven't had them clogged, I always rinse dishes before putting them in.

Thanks. I rinse as well but seems like some food does get caught. I took the arms off and gave a good scrub with hot soapy water and shook the spout. Dishes are cleaning better. Just a shame you can't undo the spout to get inside and clean thoroughly.

I had this problem last night - door won't shut but you can turn the dishwasher on and open the door it whilst it is still runs! Very easy to fix - And free if you can use a screwdriver - takes about 10 minutes at a leisurely pace.

1. Remove the 8 torx screws from the top of the door (ie behind the control panel is) The 2 for the latch are longer screws.

2. The control panel flips comes away > gently rest it to one side.

3. The latch assembly - it should be free from the door at this point - there is a shiny shaft that over time works itself out of position - compress the mechanism against the spring with one hand and guide the pin back into place with the other hand

4. reassemble latch and control panel onto the door in reverse order of disassembly and replace screws (don't over-tighten the screws. Firm/Handtight is enough).

I have just moved into a new house with this model dishwasher installed. After 3 weeks the door will not close. Up to this the dishwasher was operating normally, and doing a good wash. However, I noticed tonight that there appears to be a split about 1 cm long at the end of the lower operating arm. Have these problems happened to anyone else? And is there a simple solution to the door problem, or will I get advice from the maker? I have checked inside to make sure that the baskets are properly installed etc.

Hi gypsy 41, I would not use the machine until the split in,the arm is fixed. I found that there is an increase in water from the arm which caused the machine to overflow all over the kitchen The part just clips on and is available from big warehouse spares online. Get the new part first so you can see how it is attached before you try to remove the broken part.

If the door won't close you could either have a loose or broken hinge, or twisted the door frame, otherwise the leak could be caused by the part.

BWS also has a parts break down to help you select the correct part, but you will need to find the correct machine model number.

I have no connection with BWS only a happy customer

I have had this dish washer for 4 months and used it 2 times because the standard dinner plates hit the top of the dishwasher and when i place them down the bottom they hit the fan. The only way i can fit them in is by leaning them at an angle. Why is this happening and is there a way to fix it. Would i be able to get a refund?

I have the similar model and the top tray can adjust, it can be moved up to avoid the plates hitting the fan
