Not Accredited & a Real Risk – I recently made an enquiry with this company (On Location Events LLC) following strong advertising for tickets to many major events around the world. My specific enquiry related to the Australian Open Tennis 2025, which is held each year in January in Australia. The Australian Open represents the first of four Grand Slam Tennis Events held each year. It precedes the French Open, Wimbledon and US Open.

Initially I knew virtually zero about this particular company, only that they were a third party ticket seller that sells tickets to major events that are normally significantly higher in cost to what you’d otherwise pay with recognised, sponsored and proper event affiliated ticket providers.

We’re all human, and we all know that feeling, when you want to attend a specific major event so badly, and you know that general public tickets sell out extremely quickly, especially for popular, global events. We gravitate towards that “wonderful looking advertising” on the internet that offers an alternate opportunity to grab tickets that we know we might not otherwise get. It’s like it’s permanently waving at us & begging us to click on it. Our brains are imperfect sometimes & all too often, emotion & the ever-increasing desire to attend an event, no matter what it takes, often leads us down a risky pathway, and on a journey that can end in heartbreak, disappointment and, more often than not, financial disaster.

So, in my case, and in my own personal experience with this company, my emails were answered quickly and efficiently, and all “seemed good”. In fact, probably even better than good. The first impression was that they were genuinely doing everything possible to answer my enquiry, even forwarding the matter to another subsidiary company, that still comes under the banner of the On Location brand.

But I just had “that terrible feeling in my guts” that “something” wasn’t right. Call it intuition or whatever, I just couldn’t shake that feeling of “red flags” flapping madly at me, saying “don’t do it”.

For once on my life, I listened and followed my gut instincts and decided not to order anything at all through this company . I then decided to do a bit of research on this company, and my instincts appear to be spot on .

For anyone even remotely thinking about dealing with this company, here’s what you need to know, just for starters.

They are a US based company and they actually had no affiliation with the Australian Open at all, nor were they sponsored sellers to that event.

They have a vast array of complaints, negative comments and negative feedback and reviews on the internet. I don’t think I read a single positive one from customers who had invested often a lot of money into ticket purchases with this company. Many did not receive tickets at all, many did not receive refunds, many didn’t receive a response or receive any meaningful attempt to resolve email complaints at all. Let’s face it guys, “that many” customers can’t ALL be wrong”.

But here’s where it gets BAD & “really concerning”.

All companies & businesses have to abide by certain standards. The BBB Accreditation Standards is one of them that applies in this particular case. A big one actually !!

The BBB Accreditation Standards represent sound advertising, selling & customer service practices that enhance confidence & trust in business. The Code is made up of 8 core principles that include (Build Trust, Advertise Honestly, Tell the Truth, Be Transparent, Honour Promises, Be Responsive, Saveguard Privacy, Embody Integrity).

This system also gives a rating with A being the best.

Everyone, be warned & informed : ON LOCATION EVENTS LLC is NOT BBB ACCREDITED .

It actually received a D- (D minus) rating .

If that factor alone doesn’t stop, prevent or certainly make you think twice about dealing with this company, I don’t know what will.

As I didn’t proceed with placing an order (based on what I learned), I will never know what the outcome would have been, a factor which made this review difficult to rate. But clearly there is immense cause for concern with this company, and, it would be irresponsible of me not to voice my concern and post what I’ve learned so at least people can make an informed choice.

Buyer beware sums it up. Do your homework, trust your instincts, if it seems too good to be true, it probably is, and importantly, my advice would be to carefully consider the risks associated with purchasing from this non accredited company against the peace of mind and measure of reassurance you’d get if purchasing your desired tickets through a recognised, proven, tried and trusted properly sponsored service provider.
