Great product, Questionable lifespan (6 months later) – I bought my Oneplus 3T in mid 2017, and was over the moon and impressed with its build quality, camera quality, and snappiness, all for a very affordable price ($510 at the time) compared to many other flagship devices. Dash charging is a blessing too, I have other phones with 'quickcharge' that become worryingly hot after being left… Read more

overnight, but none of those problems with dash!

For the last 6 months the phone has served me great, however in the last month or so the device has taken a steep dive, where the battery life has begun to rapidly deteriorate (60% of what it was?), and I am experiences random crashes and stutters of a wide variety of apps, even after trying a factory reset. I can accept that these are things that are typical for a phone near its 'end of life', but I am surprised, and a little disappointed, that 'end of life' for my 3T is arriving after only a little more than 6 months :/

If I had written this review a month ago, it'd be a 10/10 would recommend phone. It draws a 'wow factor' from all the non techy friends too ;)

It's really smooth – So it started of wonderfully and it should still be if I didn't water down my phone. When I bath, I always put my phone nearby and sometimes water seeps into the phone case so I know there should be some that gets in through the port too. Then one day my fingerprint scanner doesn't work, and i figured it must have something to do with the water… Read more

and i was right, they're all rusty inside when they open the phone and it's been a while since but I still have my phone watery at times so for the first time ever, my phone freeze early today and in the evening. Both when I'm trying to take picture. I wonder if this time the water got into the camera compartments. But other than that the phone is still 100% smooth. No lags, no freeze and I'm still very content with it. Never regretted buying it just regretted being stupid. I totally recommend this phone, although if you have the money why not opt for a oneplus 5T. Anyway, moral of the story, don't bring this close to waters. It will survive but you'll lose some functions.

The best Android phone of 2016 – I have been an Apple smartphone user for over 5 years now and I have never actually owned an Android phone but I have used many Android devices due to my line of work and I always found the functionality and usability of iOS devices to be superior to Android. But after so many years of using iOS devices, I was frankly bored with the minor upgrades… Read more

to the OS and the phone and I was looking for a change. Thus, after months of research I shortlisted the candidates to the Oneplus 3T and the Google Pixel.

I went for the Oneplus 3T because it cost only half of what the Pixel costs and it beats it in every category of performance and hardware except for the camera. The camera wasn't a big minus for me as the camera on the 3T is still very good and it is more than satisfactory for all my purposes. I love that the OS is not ugly and filled with bloatware like the ones on Samsung and HTC. It even has a lot of very good gesture features, dash charging and the phone feels really premium. The only minus point is that the phone does not have band 28 support for Australia so 4G won't work on Telstra and Optus networks but again that didn't bother me much as I only ever use 3G and that works fast enough for me.

Hot tip: Use the "Dark" theme mode on the phone along with a black wallpaper for the home screen and lock screen (saves a lot of power on AMOLED displays as the color back hardly uses any battery power) and disable 4G, use only 2G/3G. I get almost a day and a half of use on a full charge!

Top of the line features within budget – First off, this phone has an excellent battery life, dual-sim support, and no bloatware. Just the right amount of customization and very intuitive to use. Great ram/memory, it was faster than my friend's Samsung S8. Did I mention it has fast-charging? Even if you forgot to charge it overnight, you can use the dash charger to fill it up while you… Read more

Best phone I have even after almost 2 years – Beautiful and powerful phone. Cannot have asked for more when this released. Although I wanted the OnePlus 3, I ended up getting this because I thought of waiting for other phones to release. When this came out I immediately bought it though and I haven't yet regretted that decision. Except for a few random software glitches (easily fixed by a… Read more

restart), this phone is cheap and powerful. Its camera isn't bad either, and pictures and videos come out great. Heavy games work great even now and handles pretty much everything a current phone can. Could not have asked for more.

Still a great phone in 2018 – Have had this phone for almost a year now. I ordered it from Dick Smith online who still stock this phone now. My only complaint with it is that the vibration motor is too. weakHowever, I find that the software implement in conjunction with the AMOLED screen shows notifications in a very efficient way that isn't intrusive. Camera, screen, battery… Read more

life, are all very good. Fingerprint scanner is extremely quick and the also stock android means that the phone doesn't stutter often.

Even the stock launcher is very nice. Every other phone I've owned previously I would straight away change the launcher but I did not have to with the OnePlus.

Does not support all networks – Oneplus phones do not support all networks. If you are travelling overseas, it will not support all networks and you may end up not having any mobile data available. I took my phone to Australia where I could make calls and send sms but mobile data was not supported so no internet.  Show details

The phone is great but the battery is really bad! – I bought this phone 3 months ago and on the beginning was everything fine. After the OS update the battery is no longer lasting more than 4 or 5 hours of constant use and I'm not considering games just normal screen use as research and emails. For busy people, as I am, we need a food for constant use during at least 12 hours battery. I bought it… Read more

with the promise of long life battery as that all I need and I'm so disappointed with the one plus 3T, if you look up on Google about "one plus battery drain" you will see that's not only me but a wide range of users of this phone.

I would really like the One+ company to sort it out, the Android system discharge the phone by itself even in stand by

An advice? Don't buy it!

Amazing phone while it works – I bought this phone less than a month ago and today it fell from the sofa on the floor and the screen shattered not only one one corner but 3 and totally stopped working. I do not feel that a phone that cost more than 600 dollars should be of such bad quality that it should stop working entirely after an incident like this, especially when any 100 dollars phone will usually keep working after having their screen cracked over and over  Show details

Great phone with ongoing problem – After reading some reviews and doing a lot of research my partner decided to buy a OnePlus 3T as he didn't want to spend upwards of $800+ on a new phone. The phone is FAST. It makes my Samsung S8 look old and slow in comparison (and the 3T is technically faster). However, we are having issues. About 6 months ago, I believe a software update caused… Read more

the phone to start cutting out during calls. It makes gurgling noises as if it's underwater and the person on the other end can't hear and/or the call completely disconnects. We haven't tried completely resetting the phone yet (because it's a hassle) so it's possible this may fix it.

He also recently dropped the phone from bedside table to floor and the screen stopped working. Thankfully I'm handy and was able to open up the back cover which revealed that the cable for the screen had simply come loose.

So clearly there are some issues with software and hardware, but aside from this we're happy so we'll have to update this review if/when we can sort the call issue.

Amazing Phone and value – The phone is now nearly running it's third year as my daily driver! There has been no problem and it's still lightning fast. Super affordable and powerful. If I ever upgraded it would definitely be another OnePlus device. I highly recommend it! Show details

Best phone you could buy for this prize – According to me, one plus is the best company in field of mobile phones. I have been using one plus 3T for over 5 months now, and it is running perfectly without any lag. The best thing about this phone is its regular security patch and the androids firmware updates. i haven't noticed any problem with any recent apps in this phone. If you can afford a phone around 600 dollars, this is the phone to go for.  Show details

Fantastic phone for it's price – This price packs a lot of features for it's price. It's CPU matches that of flagship Samsung phones. The phone features plenty of RAM. OLED screen looks great. I paid about $520 at the time of purchase, where competetors flagships are into the $1000s. Fast charging is handy also. Highly recommenced.  Show details

10/10 – This phone is a great deal. It has the same or better specifications as the flagship Google Pixel from 2016, and is half the price. It charges with USB-C, includes a headphone jack and the speaker gets surprisingly loud. Another bonus is that it runs nearly Sotck Android with some bonus features. Boasting "Dash Charge", the OnePlus 3t charges to 65% from 0% in 30 minutes!  Show details

Solid Phone at great price point – The OnePlus 3T may not have the specs of and fancy screen resolutions of later flagships of 2017, but it has super decent specs. With a 1080p panel, the screen still looks nice while keeping up with a competitive battery level. Apps and browsing is super snappy thanks to a solid cpu and hefty ram. OS is very similar to stock android and minimal bloatware. Overall a very good value phone however, made almost redundant by later OnePlus models.  Show details

Amazing phone for price – Speedy and reliable performance, great specs that compete with other high end phones (such as Samsung and Apple). Offers a stock android like experience with Oxygen OS, meaning there is almost no bloatware that bogs down the phone. I would recommend this to any who is looking for a phone with high end specs and a low price.  Show details

Not bad! – The phone has been pretty great so far. Have had it for about a year and not many issues. The things I find annoying about it is the pocket mode when it just comes on when you are trying to access your phone, and whilst using Google Maps, it always seems to require syncing. Otherwise everything runs great.  Show details

OnePlus 3T is a great phone – Bought from Kogan. Inexpensive phone with great specs, charging with Dash charge is extremely quick but did not come with a compatible Australian plug unfortunately. Near stock Android experience with no bloatware meaning the phone is super fast when navigating menus. Plenty of storage and the ability for dual SIM cards is a plus. Would definitely recommend.  Show details

Great phone for a great price – 128g storage and 6b of RAM. Great phone. Dash charge is incredible. 15 minutes gives me easily 40%. I'm a fan! – Been an Android user ever since and I loved Huawei's OnePlusT. It's super fast, love the amoled display, great battery life, and great camera too. The dual cameras is a nice touch as well. One thing for improvement though is the image stabiliser. Been challenging to take very clear photos of moving objects. Other than that, I love it!  Show details

Great phone for a great price – The oneplus 3t is a great phone I bought it online and it was real cheap for the specs too It's got 6gb of ram! Good cameras and a clear 5.5 inch AMOLED display. The phone feels snappy and would be just as good as the iPhone and Samsung S8 honestly. So I would 100% recommend for anyone who wants a high end phone for a low price. Also OnePlus has exceptional customer service  Show details

Perfect! – One draw back on this phone is the NFC chip/android pay don't work well with case installed so if you going to use this phone for NFC payment you might have removed the case or go for official one plus case. Amazing value for money – This phone is the best high-end value for money phone (truly a flagship killer) that you can buy. It has all the features and specs than the current flagships (even better in some aspects). If you love Android, this is it ! – Amazing value for money, got it for half the price as a Pixel (wouldn't touch an iPhone with a stick, apologies for the personal opinion), and in some ways I find it better than Pixel, for example slimmer bezel, thumbprint reader in front which doubles as the home button, and the home/back/apps buttons are on the bezel as well, saving precious… Read more

Almost as good as a Pixel, half the price – Out of the box, this device is fantastic. Very fast, solidly built, with excellent (relatively) bloat-free software (I can't stress this enough).
