ALDI Onix WM3011

I only lasted 2 weeks with this machine – Terrible washing machine, I gave it to Vinnies. It has no agitator in the middle of the drum so it tangles the washing into one big not, that can be hard to untangle. If you do not untangle your washing before it spins ,the spin won't work properly. There is only 4 selections of wash. The ECO selection takes over 2 hours. Show details

Stay Clear – This machine is a load of c..p. Do not buy. Door always hard to open. Now does not open at all even after using all posted suggestions. Also do not bother contacting Tempo Australia, they are equally as useless. Never respond to a request for assistance. Get yourself a big name washing machine as at least they have an emergency manual door opener.

Terrible – I payed 399 form Kmart. The machine is 14 months old and has been used for about 20 times. Kmart does not sell ONIX any longer and they were not helpful. Onix told that it is out of warranty which it is (14 Months form purchase and 8 months after install with about 20 washing cycle) and it is not worth repairing. Terrible – Its JUNK!!!! Dont ever buy a cheap washing machine. ($399 at KMart) Parts are too hard to get ... we were very lucky to find a drive belt. Cost %150 for the repair. Samsung washer today (bigger washer with an extra 4 year warranty. This gives me 6 year warranty -- total cost of just over $700). Money well spent. It was cheap Towels came out feeling like sandpaper even when using fabric softener. Was just out of warranty (of course) and it stopped spinning .... found it had chewed the drive belt to shreds.... unbelievable!!!

noicey,to many errors, never spins water out enough, when empting filter water goes all over floor now computer board stuffed not bad for machine thats only 8 months old

Good – has had issues not draining and error messeges, but upon inspection I've found hair ties and bobby pins in the pump (accessable from the front RH bottom panel) unfortunately this needs to be done outside as all the water then flows onto the floor. can think of was it had a good water usage rating - 58ltrs for an economy load. It was rubbish. I don't think we ever had a load go through the complete cycle without stopping near the end with an error of some description. The job it did on washing the clothes wasn't even that good with many items having to be washed twice - which cancelled out the water saving pro. Ours eventually packed it in when the belt came off and continued to spin and subsequently burn't a hole in our line about 150mm long.

Terrible – Crap useless piece should go to comsumer affairs and have Kmart and other retailers pull item off shelf there is enough evidence to demand a refund because the 12 mth warranty id useless. It makes too much noise does not wash properly all stains stille visible, not drying properly , then starting beepping with error , stopped draining water and stopped washing.never buy cheap crap!

Terrible – we ended up taking it to my granparents farm and blew it up with a box of fireworks inside the drumm. blew it to bits... Sell it for scrap metal everything. clothes still drripping, started smoking and caught on fire.

Terrible – worst machine er ever bought. Would never trust K-Mart white goods. Looks greaty but i guess you can't judge a book cheap had it in use for 8 months before one day it just started pouring water out the front and then stopping spinning. Being accustomed to washing machines that last several years, I was not only very disappointed with this machine's durability. I hate the way that it is such a waste of resources. Low cost. Used to wash clothes fairly clean causing less wear and tear than some top loaders. Lasted less than 2 months. Took a long time to wash a full load.

other times not. Eventually at only 7 months old it would not hold water at all. I opened up the filter compartment to find it full of plastic. Eventually after a week of battles between kmart and Tempo, I finally got a technician to come out, who told me the bearings were gone in the motor, making the drum scrap against the water tank break this (hence the plastic) and crack the conrete block and wear away the seal! Kmart gave me a refund so I am now looking for a new machine... I think I'll buy a Bosch!

Excellent – Forget what others have written. They used the wrong washing powder and subsequently blew the plumbing off the machine etc. It is a front loader and needs matic powder like ALL other front loaders. cheapest, best value and most reliable clean clean washing machine. The micro switches will last a long time. Also has a filter warning, which worked when a 5c piece was picked up. The designers have thought of everything. This is also the model WM3011 Lumina from Aldi and that is the one I use. Stainless tub inside. We have propped the machine up on a stable strong wooden footing so it's easier to put clothes in. Watch that at the shops, they are all displayed on a footing higher than the actual washing machine. This is a good quality washing machine. Washed clothes have never been done so well. NO LINT!! You need to use 'matic' washing powder, not anything else. The standard wash cycle is too long, but heavy duty synthetic and cotton cycles are perfect for most wash occasions.

Terrible – We reviewed this machine back in July, I was very happy with it as it did do a good job but as with most other people that reviewed the machine it is now on its way to the scrap heap. Terrible – Waste of time. Like many other comments you can only hook up to cold water - resulting in lots of energy being used to heat up water. In the end you get what you paid for. I wished i re-searched the machine before my impluse purchase. it's cheap It's cheap. I keep getting error E03 and the machine won;t finsh any cycle. Machine also jumps all around the laundry. Terrible – terrible machine, works maybe 1/2 the time. cannot even get it to start most of the time, just give E01 and beeps. only use the fast cycle (35mins) as the other cycles take about 2 hours and i don't trust it with my clothes for that long. do not buy. it looks like a washing machine

powder aswell, and it started of ok till it spun ..well it sounded like a jet taking off..never had a machine like it..it has e3 error but the door was not catching enough and the old knee fixes that..am scared from other reviews that it could catch fire so won't be setting it and leaving or presetting it.Now am saving my pennies for a more well known brand the fact after reading other reviews its still working..

polystyrene, electric zaps, leaking, won't pump properly and washing doesn't get spun dry enough, plus it just keeps going without the timer going down, won;t restart, door jams stuck

Excellent – I believe if you stick to exactly the specifications set out in the manual for load capacity depending on the type wash cycle, I believe you will have no issues with this washing machine - I am very happy with the unit. forget. set rpms on spin, set temperature, runs just on cold water, has it's own heater. safety features are great. so many wash cycles to choose from. good clean looking unit. downside is the length of time it takes to do some wash cycles, however if you pre-set the time, then it is not an issue.

Terrible – the wash cycles take far too long, it doesn't get whites clean, always seem to get errors 3/4 way through wash and therefor have to start again (takes away its water saving pro), and it leaks. Generally disappointed, thought for a new machine it would have done a better job - might have to bring our old trusty dinosaur out of retirement. cheap does a poor job

luck, i finally went back to ALDI and they have promised me a refund so I can get something of quality! Don't buy this machine no matter how a good buy it seems to be at the time. It's absolute rubbish! Water saving. Cheap. Normal cotton wash took 3 hours to finish. Extremely noisy on the spin cycle. After only 6 weeks it broke down. Door had to be shut after pressing start or error message would appear.
