Does NOT drench carpets! – Just wanted to write a quick review as I keep seeing bad ones! It works great, your carpet only ends up drenched if you are holding the trigger the entire time!! You are meant to hold the trigger as you push forward, then release the trigger as you come back and let the machine suck up the dirty water from your carpets so if you keep holding the… Read more
button I can see why your carpets might end up soaked!!! This machine was given to me second hand and STILL it has been spot on for me and does everything I need it to, great compact machine :)
Does the job – This machine does what it says on the box and I don't know why other people claim it leaks, is noisy, doesn't suck etc. You put in warm water with a reputable liquid - I use Hoover Pro Plus - pull the trigger and move forward. You release the trigger and pull back to see dirty water being sucked into the tank. There's obviously not as much… Read more
water collected as deposited but what do you expect? If the water's dirty it has come from your carpet so again, what do you expect? We live in a warm climate so the carpet dries quickly. If you live in a cold climate then obviously it will take longer. Yes it's noisy. if it's quiet the pump wouldn't be up to much. Electric otors and pumps aren't designed to make noise for no purpose.
Noisy – The valve at the bottom of the water tank sprang up is now inside the tank so water when filling it flows out the bottom although it's still usable and does a great job off cleaning the carpets pity it's a little bit tricky but all carpet cleaners have there little weakness other than that seems fine not fancy but does what says Show details
Unfortunately it never worked well from day 1 – Unfortunately it never worked well from day 1. Somehow it does not suck up the water from the carpet :( I don't have the Receipt anymore, but I bought it from Godfrey's online and collected it from Godfrey's Bondi Junction. Show details
Perfect for spot cleaning – Did a good job took out a lot of dirt from my carpets. Show details
You get what you paid for – If you don't have a big budget then this capet shampoo is for you. It is made out of plastic and feels like it can break easy but it does the job. It's not very strong and the dirty water tank fills up quickly. Also highly recommend that if you use this product open all doors and windows because your lungs will hurt if you don't. Show details
Was amazing … then it wasn’t! – I brought it a month ago and was so impressed by it, I did two rooms and it sucked up all the dirty water (I was embarrassed). Pulled it out today to do another room and it took two tanks of water to do the room (normal) but it hasn’t sucked up any of the water! So my carpets are drenched! I know what it’s capable of so I’m a bit unhappy! Show details
This machine is good at spraying out water, terrible at picking it up – Says it all in the title. I have owned the machine for over 12 months, but have only used it 3 times. Every time it has left my carpets saturated. It just can,t suck, which sucks Show details

Good value for your money – The Optim carpet shampooer does exactly as I expected. Purchased for $81.00 with free delivery. My carpets smell lovely and fresh, got rid of the doggie smell. If you are careful not to pull the trigger continuously, you will not have drenched carpets. Very easy to clean comparef to much more expensive brands. Very happy with purchase Show details
Leaks filthy water – I bought this unit myself but have also borrowed the same model from a relative. Both had the same issues - they saturate the carpet but have poor suction, which means your spilled cup of tea is just being pushed around over a wider area, with gross results - they LEAK! Dirty water immediately starts to pool underneath the dirty water container… Read more
and then drips onto the floor as you're using it. I've made sure the cap was nice and tight, nothing overfilled, everything clicks into the unit so I can't see it being user error. My advice would be to spend a bit more cash on something else, the quality just isn't there.

Absolute Crap – If I could give 0 stars I would, does nothing apart from saturate the carpet, doesn't clean stains, absolute waste of money ! Over 24 hours later and my carpet still isn't dry. Show details

Carpet vacumn – Not impressed with it at all just that it doesn't work as they say it does. Honestly. It doesn't suck up the water that well leaving the carpets soaked and wet. Only works well on lino. There's nothing that I can think of. Show details
Great little machine – We have 2 x floor rugs which was very dirty (having 2 kids eating while playing on it) and 2 room have carpet on the floor. A rental cleaner would have cost us about 1/2 the price of this machine already. We bought some bissell carpet cleaning solution and mixed it up in the tank. The finish was better than we thought and the amount of dirt it sucked out is quite amazing. Its a great buy of its price!
