5 replacements all with similar issues Cheap, Tinny Rubbish! I did a lot of research into baby monitors before deciding on Oricom. What a mistake that was. Wish I had someone to talk me out of it. A few points to keep in mind * Faulty strobing/flickering night light. Disruptive to child’s sleep. (Strobing/flickering not a feature)(Would occur… Read more

without nightlight feature being used at all) This issue occurred within a few months of receiving each replacement.

* Temperature sensor is extremely inaccurate. Ended up using a separate Bluetooth thermometer. Regular warnings of High Temperatures when it was not even close.

* Motion detection was hit and miss at best. For example, Child fell out of bed a couple of times and it wasn’t captured at all.

* Monitor speaker - is very poor quality. Suppose to play lullabies and noises. Comes out as a very static sounds. The ability to speak to your child through the camera is incoherent, if heard at all.

* Separate monitor display has a poor battery life and if slow to turn on.

Oricom will not provide a refund despite reoccurring issues with every replacement. They continue to push their rubbish product until your warranty is up.

Do yourself a favour avoid Oricom entirely. You will not get the support you would expect when the time comes from such a big company.

Initially worked well for approx. 2 years however we had multiple issues: • Within first 12 months – Temperature sensor became inaccurate (reading 7–8°C too high at all times). • Within first 12 months – Camera direction control constantly glitching and not working via the app. • Within 18 months – the light ring began flickering a white light at… Read more

night. Terrible for a child's room. • Within 2 years - camera no longer connects to the handheld monitor or app, making it unusable. • Oricom replaced the whole thing, within a couple months the replacement had a power issue and was unusable. • Sent back to Oricom and they replaced the camera again which we only just received but now no longer use it with the toddlers age.

We researched this product a lot and purchased with the aim of using it for 2 kids however I doubt this will last to baby number 2 and we will likely have to go purchase another product. Very disappointing product, clearly reading these reviews it's a 50/50 gamble whether you get a junk one. We must have initially got an ok one followed by junk replacements.

Great, clear & functional monitor! – I’ve had this monitor for a year now and it’s been really good. It has a clear picture, moves around in the direction you need it to see bubs best. picks up sound really well, sometimes a little too much background noise but overall it’s good. Has light functions as well as sounds and a microphone so you can talk to your baby through it. I had… Read more ·  1

one small issue with one camera only with the lighting function and received a replacement in 2 days!!! Great customer service on how quick everything was!! Can’t fault this monitor. (I don’t use it through wifi so cannot comment about the app)

Failed after 7mths – The connection between the camera and monitor have failed us a few times in the first six months, but eventually reconnected until now when the camera won’t connect at all. Hopefully a warranty claim is easy, but frustrating as all you want is a monitor that does what it is meant to.

Broke twice in 6 months – Very disappointed that it broke on me twice already in 6 months. First time just not working at all and second time issues with connection and pan tilt function. The app is slow as well. I was offered another replacement but really lost faith on this. Moving to another brand because it is very stressful when it fails Show details

Great Support, OK-ish dedicated monitor, Third-party Software is average – This unit comes with its own dedicated monitor, and has a third-party Software runs on top of the unit (Hubble Club) so that you can view baby cam on your iPhone. The video quality you get is much better on your phone, however you need to get a premium subscription for unlimited devices (otherwise limited to two-devices on the free version). that it doesn't come with its own stand, so you need to use a 3M adhesives or get an aftermarket stand to go with the camera. You can play a tune (including white noise) from the camera, however we found it to be very buggy and repeatedly stopped playing for no reason. We had troubles during a software update, and rang the support team who are based in Australia, who helped to solve the issue promptly. It comes with 2-year warranty, which is a big plus.

Good monitor terrible stand and customer service – The monitor works well - five stars for that product if you’re only using the parent unit. The app itself is glitchy and awful so I’d give the product three stars overall. However, I’m giving this a lower score because I purchased the baby monitor mount advertised on the website and it doesn’t actually screw on properly to the camera (the screw is… Read more

too short). So basically, I paid $35 dollars for a piece of plastic that doesn’t work with the product it’s advertised to web designed for. I purchased a nonbranded alternative from Amazon for a third of the price and that worked perfectly. To make matters worse, I contacted Oricom asking for a replacement screw (not even a refund!) and almost three weeks later than have had no rectification. Terrible customer service and average product!

Not great – Purchased from Catch.com.au 12/2022 Set up is quick and easy with the provided 5" Monitor. But we couldn't get it to work on any iOS device, which is primarily why we bought it. Lost hours 5+ trying to get it to work trying every solution we could with their tech support. In the end they couldn't even trouble shoot it. This is because Oricom palms… Read more

you off to third party software called Hubble Club. Shirking responsibility. The Camera on iOS wouldn't connect or would only connect for 1 second then drop out. We tried this on 3 different ios devices with different operating systems and tried on different internet networks. Nothing worked. The iPad app isn't an iPad app but the iPhone app viewed on iPad. Eg it's a tiny mobile phone size rectangle on the iPad, it's not responsive. Which is pointless when using on iPad. Anyway thoroughly disappointed. If you plan on ONLY using the provided 5" monitor then it's pretty good. But it does feel like a quite cheap built quality and cheap tech.

Doesn't work, no customer support – For months I have been trying to contact them as the remote function in the Hubble club app doesn't work at all, my camera no matter how many times it says successfully connected will not show up on the app - I've contacted customer support many times over many months and they simply have not responded except once to ask me what version of the app I'm using. It's effectively useless, huge waste of money - don't buy. Show details

Device stops working – We are currently on our 3rd monitor of this type. The monitor works well for the first few weeks and then the camera stops working. Oricom has had excellent customer service and has sent us out replacements. However we are now on our 3rd replacement which has just stopped working. I wouldn't recommend because its simply not reliable. Show details

Is perfect for us – We love this monitor. We struggled to find a baby monitor that could do split screen with next to no lag. We are beyond happy with monitor and the range works for our house (babies rooms are at the other end of our house to our room and we have no connection issues). Show details ·  1

Great functional camera!! Easy to set up – Great all round camera, connects to the app well, and has great range on the monitor. You can also play lullabys and nursery books through the camera without a subscription. Full HD is available when using through the app. Would highly recommend! Show details ·  1

Be aware – I got this monitor and 3 weeks later stopped working. They gave me a new camera, which stopped working after 2 weeks. Finally they agreed to a refund. They will charge me $40 for the refund and lost 2 months using this problematic baby monitor. Don’t recommend this product. I got one pan and till indoor camera that is cheaper and way better than this device Show details

Excellent all-rounder – We purchased this camera largely due to the features it had. We were comparing up against Cubo. Many of the features we same/similar but the main selling point was the fact Oricom is Australian. We personally like to support local companies/products. The most important features for us were the ability to have both the handheld unit and also remote… Read more ·  1

access (As we’ve had many friends saying alerts on your phone are constant and annoying all night). We love the built in nightlight and the lullaby feature as this means 1-2 less other devices in the nursery (everything is an extra device these days). We are very happy with both the picture and the sound also. Worked straight out of the box. If you choose to use remote access also, you just create and account and away you go: so simple! Would definitely recommend.

Highly recommend! Great monitor – As first time parents we had the following parameters front of mind when selecting a baby monitor: signal strength and stability, security, quality and ease of use. The signal strength and stability are both great. The fact that the parent unit and camera unit can communicate using FSHH means we are not reliant on our Wifi router, which does… Read more ·  1

experience occasional drop-outs. Furthermore, the use of FHSS transmission provides heightened security as the communication is direct from the camera unit to parent unit, thus not exposing the feed to the internet. However, if we ever require it, the mobile app is always available, as an option. The quality of the camera unit is fantastic. The night vision feed is clear, in addition to the convenience of remote pan, tilt and zoom. The fact that all of this was achieved in minutes by simply pulling the units out, setting them up and turning them on was the easy start to what has been a pleasant experience. We finally have some time to ourselves whilst keeping one (clear, stable and secure) eye on babe at all times. Highly recommend!

Perfect for baby’s nursery – Very easy to set up and allows us to keep an eye on Bub in the nursery through the external monitor or on our phones through the HubbleClub app. Range, sound and image quality is great and we love being able to play sounds, take screenshots and speak to Bub through the monitor. Also allows for up/down and sideways camera control which was a must have for us! Show details ·  1

Perfect monitor, can’t fault it! – This monitor has worked perfectly from the start. It has all the features which were important to me, including: -It is reliable and never drops out unexpectedly (as others I have tried did), and has good range working everywhere within my house and also a small distance in the back and front yard. -Continuous monitoring (so I don’t have to worry… Read more ·  1

about whether the sensitivity is working and switching on the audio when my baby cries) -Alert (with beeping) if the connection drops out (please note a number of monitors don't have a noise on their alert so your monitor can lose connection while you’re sleeping and you never even realise your baby has been crying!) -The picture quality is great both day and night, and I can clearly see what my baby is doing (and even see him breathing) -The red nightlight has been handy - it gives a very low amount of light which is enough to see by but doesn’t interfere with my baby’s sleep (is not bright enough to give enough light for him to want to look around his room).

The only minor negatives are are follows: -The volume may be a little on the low side for some people - this is good for the continuous monitoring (it doesn’t annoy you at night when the baby rolls over) but does mean you need the volume turned up high if you’re not right next to it. -The orientation of the camera means it’s difficult to get the camera pointing into the cot without a wall mount (you can buy one from Oricom which is compatible), but it will give a good view once the side bars are down on the cot (we currently have ours looking through the cot side bars and you can see our baby quite well still - that is with the camera positioned on a bookshelf on the opposite wall and zoomed in).

The setup was very easy.

Oricom are good to deal with if you have any issues (I haven’t had any issues with this model but did with a previous monitor which I then exchanged for this monitor).

I highly recommend this product and think it is good value compared to the others I have tried and researched.

Works great but did need replacement – Bought this monitor direct from oricom. The first monitor stopped working after 1 week but I contacted oricom and had a replacement sent out instantly which works great. Such a perfect baby monitor! – Reliable monitor with amazing image quality. The resolution of the video it produces is amazing even in total darkness.
