Haven’t heard a word – Ordered Coilovers Tuesday and haven’t heard anything from seller, phone is “busy”, no replies to emails and doesn’t reply on 3 of his fb profiles! This business should not be running and I don’t care if someone’s going through a rough time.. so am I, and so is everyone else, it doesn’t give you the right to bring others that are working their [Content Removed] off down with you. find out they had moved out.. It resorted to myself and my partner commenting on their social media and posting on a well known car Facebook page. Messages and comments flooded in with the same concerns as us and worse.. people not getting orders, damaged/ruined cars and the company not fixing these issues. One person commented explaining they knew the owner and would send the Facebook post to them and explained he was going through a tough time. After this my partner received a message from the owner via their Facebook explaining they closed up the shop but are running the business online still, but with a recent lifestyle change it had become hard. He stated he would fix this issue ASAP, and I received my coilovers on 15/12/2023. I am happy with the coilovers but I am very disappointed in the way the owner handled my order and from other customers who reached out to us, their orders as well. There is no update on any social media’s or their website explaining the shop no longer exists and the phone number I tried also is listed on all socials and the website, it also seems that they are still actively are taking orders. I hope the business can fix their mistakes and become reliable again, but I will never be purchasing from them again.

part available in the market. They told me the job will take 5 working days and they warranty the work if the parts come from a specific provider, they also provided me with detailed quote with all charges which was around $1500. Then I took the car and approved parts to them.

After few days, I called them to see what the progress is. They told me they found the leak and they were trying to fix it. I waited another couple of days and then I received an email which was saying they damaged the coil packs while removing plenum and I had to get new set of coil packs. Since I was expecting some extra cost as the car is old, I agreed to get new one from them and install it. Few days later they called me again saying that to get access to damaged pipe, they have to remove entire transmission and gearbox. I told them I work as fifo and I need to leave to work for 4 weeks, so try to fix it before I leave. They agreed to deliver the car by end of the week. Next day, “[Name Removed]” called me saying that while removing gear box, they noticed that clutch and flywheel have massive wear and I have to change it. I argued with them as the clutch was fairly new (less than 3000 km) but he said he will not accept any responsibility on the car and when I refused to get new clutch and flywheel he said the car will not be released as it would damage his reputation as a mechanic. I was so frustrated to get the car back so I agreed to change them if they deliver the car by end of the week. After three days, “[Name Removed]” called me claiming that they order wrong flywheel (tips were in wrong angle) so he can not deliver the car. I had to go to their mechanic shop to see if they damaged anything as they didn’t notice the difference in Flywheel and they installed it and tried to move the car using wrong flywheel. They assured me that the gearbox is ok and they reordered correct part but it arrives next week. I left the car with them for next 4 weeks hoping they will fix it. by end of the 4 weeks, I noticed that every time I call, they try to avoid giving me proper answer and keep telling me that the car will be ready when they finish the work. After coming back to town, I called them to arrange for pick up but they said they found new leak in cooling system and they have to order new part. This was totally unacceptable as “[Name Removed]” in last conversation told that they pressurize the cooling system and they are happy with it. At this point I found out that all this time, they are just trying to upsell and add unnecessary works so they charge me as much as they can. I told them I need my car by end of next day no matter if it’s ready or not. “[Name Removed]” and “Hayden” told me they will not release my car until they fix it and they won’t give my car back.I couldn’t take it anymore as I was happy to pay them for what they did so far and take my car out of that garage. I made my decision and I went to police office with print of all document which I had. Thanks to police department, they reviewed the document and they contacted Otaku garage giving them ultimatum to release my car by end of next day. Otaku garage assured police to release my car next day.Next day I went there and paid for all works which cost me more than $4000. Then when I i asked for the keys, they told me I have to sign some papers which says otaku garage has no responsibility for future problems and basically they don’t do warranty on their work. I refused to sign and they didn’t give my keys back. I left the office and called “000” to report stolen car since I fully paid for all works done by otaku garage and have receipt in hand. Police send two officers immediately. Police officers took the key from them and passed it to me.

Avoid this garage at any cost.

Honest, trustworthy and reliable – Even though they are a performance shop, the team at Otaku were very happy to service my Ford Focus. A friendly and honest bunch of guys that do great work. My car runs like a dream! Their office dog, Vinny, is so friendly and always a joy to see. Thanks guys!

Waste of time and money – Wouldn’t offer a refund or even a restocking fee. Wouldn’t honour my request as their site listed slight modification however their intake manifold wouldn’t even fit inside my engine bay

Wonderful Store, Great People – After a few mentions from friends about their products while looking for how to build my car I chose theirs and with all my questions about small things the staff have been nothing but helpful. Absolutely love the shop and recommend to anyone I know that has car issues, Import, Aussie or family car. Great Mechanics, Great Staff, Great Service. Highly Recommend even if its a long drive away.

an email from a gentleman in Japan assigned to locate my chosen car, he said he couldn't locate the one I originally wanted in my price range and that he would be looking for the second car on my list. I replied "Thank you" . 7 days later, I emailed to find out how the search was going, it's been 3 weeks haven't heard anything. I've given up on these people, they obviously do not care about their customers or at the very least keeping them informed about what's happening. Very poor customer service. Will not be recommending them nor will I be using them again in the future. Too bad because I had a lot of money to spend.

Fantastic – Dropped my car off and when the service was finished was given an invoice and the head mechanic told me a few things I needed to keep an eye on and come back when I was ready to get them fixed. Was very happy with the customer service.
