Terrible – I paid [name removed] $2000 deposit for a quotation did not like his specification of materials like saying to you words porcelain tiles and writing in specifications ceramic tiles that is total joke that is only one example there are many other things saying something and writing something different in specification. I do not recommend anyone to build with PJ Show details

Great End Product – Where we love is our Home - home that our feet may leave but not our hearts. -Thanks P&J for constructing a beautiful home for us. We checked out lots of bulk builders before discovering the little builder P&J when we went to their display home in Officer, VIC. We were impressed with the build of the house but were disappointed with the number… Read more

of floor-plan options they had. But then we learned they are custom builder. Wonderful !!

We always thought that the custom builders are expensive and so were about to leave when my wife said, lets at-least get a quote from them. We were surprised to learn that P&J had very competitive pricing. We went through entire quotation process and were surprised to learn that almost all things at display home were standard inclusions.

It took us 3 months to sign the contract because we did our high level selections and got included them in the contract. This included our kitchen appliances, wardrobe designs, bathroom fittings, generous electrical allowance and more.

Our contract was signed in June 2016, the old house was knocked down in September and construction commenced in Oct 2016. We finally moved into our home in June 2017. Going through the process what we were to learn was "The changes we requested were accepted gracefully" by Joe (Owner P&J) and incurred justifiable cost. My friends were very surprised on how we were able to get so many changes at a later stage.

We dealt with Joe from quotation to delivery and highly recommend him for his dealing, expertise and patience.

Started well ended poorly – P & J offered a quality product. There range and finishes appeared to be great. Our house was finished in early 2010. There was an initial problem with an area flooding (we had raised concerned about the areas prebuild which were assured would be ok) that were reasonably well dealt with. At the 6 year mark we noticed our brickwork had moved in… Read more

several areas and raised concerns with the builder. 18 months later we are still no closer to coming up with a cause or solution to the problem. The builder does not return calls and will not get experts out to assess the problem. The situation has become unnecessarily stressful through no fault of ours. We are taking it to the relevant authorities and may well end up at VCAT as the builder refuses to deal with it. We will be fighting this all the way even if it means a law suit.

Customer service pre/post and during construction was fantastic

Also plus point is to build P and J construction is quality and customer service. Can't go wrong when owner is going on site everyday not like the other big builders appoint site supervisors.

Thanks Peter,Joe and team.

Quality builders and easy to deal with – We built with P&J in 2012. We have ended up with a house that is perfect for us, great layout, quality build. Peter and Joe are both great to deal with. We had a demolish & rebuild - and from when we moved out it was 8 months until we moved back in. On time, on budget and high quality finishes. We are happy to recommend P&J to anyone, and would… Read more

definitely build with them again (except that this is our forever house). Sad to see the bad reviews on here from people who have obviously not built with P&J. We did find the sales process a bit drawn out for us - partly our fault and partly the fault of their salesperson at the time (who is no longer with the company), but the building process was a dream run. So many of other builders "luxury" items are standard. No problems with altering plans to get a custom build solution.

Amazing builders – I am saddened to see the previous reviews that are negative as I could say my experiences have been far from this. This father and son company are amazing and professional, so much so we are building our second house with them. I have also built with Simmonds and they don't even come close to the professionalism we have encountered with P and J.… Read more

I can only speak highly of them as do all the trades companies who deal with them who we visit along the journey to make our selections.

If I build again there is no question I will go straight to this company without a second thought Quality is fantastic for the price, no dramas when asking for modifications on original specs unlike Simmonds who charge min 2k for any minor change on original plans. House completed well under anticipated time frame to exactly what we requested More display homes would be good

Good – So far, no major hiccups. Builder is still easily contactable. House is now at lock-up stage. Plaster, cornices and timber floor are in. Kitchen cabinet has commenced. Some items for rework were highlighted to the builder during an on-site appointment. I trust these will be rectified eventually. I suppose all builders will have some items not done… Read more

correctly in their projects as they have multiple projects and tradesmen to oversee although from a customer's perspective, it would be wonderful for a perfect project.

Old review:

So far, the builder has been great on the variation items. He agreed to honour items committed but somehow missed and was flexible on variations items and provided constructive suggestions as he went thru the house with us on power points etc. Minor issue encountered with regards to ducted heating point to the laundry, which was missed as we were not consulted before the points were put in. However, the builder was flexible on providing this at cost. House is looking great with the render completed. Can hardly wait for lock-up and interior progress. House is coming along nicely Some items need rework

Terrible – Their customer service staff are so immature and un-knowledge about the building process and as for their draftsmen they only know how to bulk draw any changes you may require they do not have a clue! Don’t go no where near PandJ to build your dream home. you will be scarred and devastated. they have no professionalism in their building process… Read more

and simply do not care if you have any problems, they just want your money in the end. please stay away it is not worth it. don’t be convinced and persuaded by their lovely display homes because it is the total opposite. they are in to make your building process are nightmare

Warning do not contract into building a home with PandJ, absolutely pathetic! you will be ripped off and left shattered with building your dream home, just like us. its a nightmare............. they should not be able to operate at all. there is no customer service from the salesman, building supervisor to their tradesmen.

Terrible – Don't build with PandJ... Horrible experience, very stressful when you are told lies and no one returns your phone calls...It's so pathetic and feel like crying for selecting PandJ. We thought of building a home that designed by ourself but now feeling what a stupid decision we have taken. If we have gone to any of other builders our home has been… Read more

finished right now. Nothing have seen other than the over promising friendly sales staff to get the contract signed. Once the contract is signed you will be treated like a beggar asking for a free food at their cost. Got us sucked right in! They are the most useless, incompetent, bunch of irresponsible people I have ever had to deal with!

Excellent – Signed contracts 20/11/09, moved into my new home on the 15/04/10. Great experience throughout the whole process with the whole team from P&J. The house was delivered ahead of time with everything I wanted. Highly recommended builder. Fast build time, flexibility during construction, quality of construction, customer service during building process and post hand over
