Not going back! – We arrived late on the Thursday before Good Friday only to find long black hairs throughout the bed, bathroom and toilet. As it was late and we had driven a long way we left it to the morning to discuss with reception. The guy on reception was very helpful and said that he would have the room cleaned straight away. He also advised us that we would receive an additional clean for the inconvenience during our 4 night stay. Needless to say, that this never eventuated and on departure I raised this with the guy checking us out along with some other grievances we had had during the stay. His attitude was less than acceptable advising me that 'mate take it up with the Ops Manager cause the only reason I'm here today is because no-one else wanted to work on Easter Monday'. With that I was given the email address for the Operations Manager. I sent an email the Operations Manager stating the above, the fact that there were wall and door damages throughout the apartment and other maintenance issues and that we had the unfortunately experience of paying $24.50 each for a buffet breakfast yet at no stage were all the food items available at the same time. Ok if you were happy to have bacon and tomato but no eggs or baked beans and tomato but no other hot food items. I requested a refund for: 2 x breakfasts, the value of the promised clean not delivered and for the 1st nights accommodation due to the simple fact that it was not clean and we slept on dirty sheets. The Operations Manager's response was in a nutshell 'condescending' to say the least. He made no apology or offered to compensate in any way and all but put the blame back onto us - the guest! I'm not generally one to write such reviews and always offer positive feedback where I feel that a positive experience has been enjoyed but this experience was one which I hope that my wife and I never have to endure again. Having been an accommodation provider for over 12 years I have a great knowledge of the accommodation industry and what is expected and certainly what is not!

Not so great and bad value for money – Have dined here in the past and found it to be reasonable, however, on our last visit it left a lot to be desired. Pasta was terrible (absolutely no flavour), my wife even compared it to 2 min noodles saying a bowl of which would have been tastier, on top of that the wine was spoiled, prices were high, service was minimal, to the point you are paying the price for table service but have to go to the kitchen and the bar to order and pre pay for everything, to find when you make a complaint about it, there is no one there with any authority to do anything about it.
We left with 1/2 eaten meals an 1/2 drunk wine.
Given the service and quality we would have been far better off going to the green house tavern or almost any restaurant in town for that matter.
Acclaimed Chef or not, we Won’t be back!
