I was with them for one year as they offered highly competitive rates. Then they suddenly increased the rate by about 20%! When I contacted them to negotiate, they instead recommended I find a new energy provider which I did promptly. Show details

I connected electricity service with Pacific Blue as they had competitive rates. However, six months in and I received advice that their rates were increasing. The rate increase was significant and I believe Pacific Blue's business model is to entice customers with low rates, only to significantly increase the daily connection and usage rates once… Read more

customers are onboard. I put up with their price gouging as I was due to move in several months and have subsequently recently requested cancellation. Low and behold the final bill indicates double the electricity usage to that of my previous electricity bills (both with Pacific Blue and my previous supplier). However, I have no way of verifying the accuracy of the last meter reading as the meter box is locked and I've moved out of the premises. I've also received no confirmation of the service cancellation to date. I assume it's cancelled as I receive an error message indicating the account's not active when attempting to cancel (move out) online, however my bill indicates a meter reading is scheduled in 2 weeks time. Go figure...Save yourself some trouble and avoid Pacific Blue.

Pacific Blue increased rates so I cancelled account. They informed me I have a credit and would pay within 10 to 15 business days. It's been over 30 business days and many dishonest emails from them and still no credit paid. I've reported them to energy ombudsman. Do not use this company. Very poor customer relations and service.

What's the point of joining PACIFIC BLUE when it has a competitive rate, then once you enter, they increase the rate substantially? It is disrespectful behaviour. And then when you sent them an email to ask them at lease keep you at the same rate for a year, not just increase over 25% in retail and service rates, they replied "look for somewhere else" and automatically marked the problem is solved, It is a joke, avoid this company like plague. Show details

I was with Pacific Blue for about 10 months and their rates were very good (for Adelaide). However, like all things energy retail nothing good lasts forever. I have been notified of a rate change (not unexpected) but it was significant. As a nerd with a spreadsheet the rate increases would result (as a minimum) an additional $32 / month based on my energy use, which is about a 25% increase to my monthly bill. Not recommended for SA residents Show details

Appalling electricity supplier owned by State Power Investment Corporation of China. When I looked into it, they own wind farms and solar plants in Australia as well. I joined 6 months ago and the rates were competitive but I just received an email telling me of rate hikes including a peak usage increase from 35.2c c/Kwh to 45.353 c/Kwh and all… Read more

other charges increased hugely as well. When I called them, I was told quite rudely and dismissively that they couldn't offer me a better plan because there were no plans available at all in my area (I'm in Adelaide). Huh? But I'm on a plan! Doublespeak. I told the operator that I would write a very negative review and she couldn't care less. Very dodgy. Stay away.

Terrible support so strongly don't recommend – All was fine until I installed solar. They are messing me around for weeks and indicating it will end up months re being able to receive credits for the vast amount of solar they are currently getting for free from my system that's going into the grid. It feels like a scam essentially Show details

Lured by initial offer… – Owned by China’s State Power Investment Corporation Limited, Pacific Blue baited me with competitive tariffs, then a year later, dramatically increased the price. Of course I sacked them. Avoid the lure, but if you take it, carefully check bills and other notices later. They gouge people who are not vigilant. Show details

Terrible communication – I signed up because their rates looked ok. My first two bills were estimates, despite having a smart meter. Really? Spent a lot of time on the chat bots to no avail. Sent an email... no reply. Switched provider to Momentum, and who would have thought, they sent me an actual usage bill. I wouldn't recommend.
