Terrible experience – Ordered on the basis of 3-5 days delivery based on our postcode from their website , but alllowed 9 working days to be sure. Started off with an email to tell us it was picked up 3 days after ordering but after another 5 days the tracking was showing nothing. Took two phone calls and several emails to get absolutely nowhere, apart from being told ‘it was something to do with our location’ and that they couldn’t help us. After challenging this I was eventually told, after another couple of days, that I could pick it up (over an hour away). By this time we had had to start packing and had been forced to go to Bunnings to buy all the same stuff again. After requesting a refund and getting no response the boxes arrived yesterday, less than 48hrs before our move. I would never buy from these guys again.
Great customer service – ordered a package of boxes in a bulk bundle on December 21st. During the course of the delivery from vic to Newcastle nsw I received many emails to update the progress of my order. It arrived well packaged and on December 23rd. I was not expecting delivery until, well after New Years being a busy time of year Great product, just as described boxes are sturdy and great sizes.
Terrible service – Re. packingboxes.com.au Do not use this company. They don't reply to emails. They don't publish a phone number so you cannot speak to someone unless you play detective and learn that the parent company is "Echo Cartons" at the same address. They promise same day dispatch for orders placed before 12 midday - this didn't happen. It wasn't dispatched by COB the next day.
When I called they did not return my call as promised.
When I called back the next day they claimed the "consignment was lost" and had to be re-dispatched.
They ended up dispatching 2 days after the original order was placed and only after my digging up a phone number and calling three times.
The courier is Toll Ipec, whose drivers "do not carry phones" and can not call ahead with an ETA window. Online consignment tracking only advises approx ETA day, and doesn't provide any clues that the consignment is actually on its way (unless you know what you are looking for).
Apparently it should arrive on Monday. I can either wait for it, or place an "authority to abandon goods" on (apartment building) front door and hope nobody helps themselves to my goods.
All in all a confluence of apalling customer service during an already stressful time. Good price No communication, disreputable courier
