Palermo Perfume

Horrible, please don’t waste your money, extremely disappointed. Their free house sample was the only one that had any scent. I bought 4 bottles and they all smell similar and disgusting. There are many affordable dupes out there, or save up for the real thing. I will never waste my money on inspired stuff again, that $140 is alot of money for tinted stinky water.

I bought inspired by Creed Aventus (M204) and Guilty black- Gucci (M197), the products are long-lasting enough for me, and they smell like original, and my store experience was really good, staff was super nice with me.

Made with cheap chemicals, gives bad migraines anytime used. Can’t even give it away and pass on for free as everyone now knows about this brand. My mother will now uses it for toilet spray. Show details

Nothing short of amazing! I’m saddened seeing the other reviews. I’m a very high demanding, hard to satisfy customer and I’ve always loved sjpppign with Palermo. A great and cheap alternative to amazing perfumes. I’ve tried at all 20 of their perfumes. While some are holding longer / smelling better, closer to real, I’ve never been disappointed. unwilling to exchange it. Instead, they offered to send it to head office for inspection before a replacement could be considered.

Not great customer service unfortunately, and I’ll be giving Palermo less of my business as a result.

ORIGINAL REVIEW (4 stars):

I have some mixed feelings about Palermo Perfumes. For someone who appreciates a nice cologne, I somehow only recently discovered Dupe Houses. I got very excited about the prospect of adding some of my favourite fragrances to my collection on the cheap, but the reality brought me back down to earth.

Let's start with the good stuff:

- They're very well priced. 50ml for $35 is very reasonable, especially as a one-off if you want to test the waters.

- Their brick-and-mortar stores are excellent. In store, they hand you a physical catalogue of all their fragrances, which makes it easy to highlight the ones you actually want to try. When I went back, the staff really looked after me. They laid out all the fragrances I’d asked for so I could compare them side by side. I ended up buying a few, but at no point did I feel pressured to do so.

And now the not-so-good stuff:

- Many (perhaps, most) of the ones I tested on my skin (wrist/forearm), across many visits, would almost completely fade within an hour or two (such as 176, 210, 281, 359, 510, 782) - even when applied generously. While it's true that longevity can highly depend on a person's skin type, I can say with certainty I don't have that much bad luck when it comes to many of the other (albeit, genuine) colognes I've sampled elsewhere.

- As for how accurately they copy the originals, it’s inconsistent. I tested a few where I know the original scent extremely well. Some are very close (like 042, 246) and some really aren’t (like 007, 156, 248). Even when accuracy is questionable, that doesn’t necessarily make them bad. I tested many that I’m unfamiliar with, and while there’s a chance they don’t mirror the originals closely, they’re still solid fragrances in their own right.

Conclusion:

If you’re willing to spend the time and effort to test and sample, there are some fragrances at Palermo that are genuinely lovely and have good performance. If you put in the time to find them, you’ll be happy. If not, you may end up disappointed. My personal favourite, for both scent and performance/longevity is 407, with honourable mentions to 115 and 367.

Terrible customer service at Tuggerah nsw gave us the wrong fragrance didn't pick up on it till we got home no email or phone to contact and when we took it back we were told that head office policy was to offer no compensation in the way of anything wasted our fuel and time because of their mistake dont bother with these guys absolute rip off. Show details

Palermo won’t give a rats about this review. They make a LOT of money from cheap synthetic substitutes of which some come out ok. This is in regard to the ‘inspired by Chanel de Bler’ Absolute junk. Ford tobacco vanilla for example. But this ‘ inspired by’ is absolutely disgusting. Nothing like the original and totally antagonistic to one’s senses. Service at the Geelong store was excellent. Scent on this particular ‘dupe’ is not something you would wish upon others.
