Avoid and report – This place is a genuine scam. Tried to invoice me for SOHO Plan (449.99) over the phone saying my device was targeted by cyber attack etc. They lied, were very harassing and bullying and products/cost is a joke. Avoid and report.
no show service appointment no response on phone – i have used in past no problem. When I rang that I had problem with tp link he said he will replace it and I said want a quote for it or the cable .he said he will come on Saturday without giving me a time .He never showed up and never answer his mobile or company 1300 number. My advice keep well away
avoid as they just want your money – They ask for money for technical support and for product and then claim there is something wrong with you computer and say yes the technical support is free ( ie you have a subscription ) but you always have to pay heaps for the software even if there's some subscription that in theory hasn't run out for another year or so.
KEEP WELL AWAY, BE WARNED – Purchased an item that was listed as in stock and ready to be shipped the following day. Shipping didn't happen. Tried to phone them in Australia and New Zealand, they never pick up the phone which just rings out! Sent a facebook message, no response. After 24 hours I did get a reply to an email I sent, they were going to send my order to… Read more
another branch? Checked my order on their web site and shipping had now gone from the 6th to the 12th Sept. Tried again phoning them here in Aust and then New Zealand, they never answer the phone. Had to make a Pay Pal claim and will now have to wait an extended time for them to refund. My advise is to use another business that is customer focused and able to be contacted via phone. This business PCTech are cowboys at best, keep well away!!
Rubbish – They always want money to fix this and when we asked why because we had just paid 299.00 last month. And $200 the month before they give some rubbish. They are so hard to understand as they are all Indian. It just seemed like a scam after a while. We do not recommend this company to anyone. It's just handing money over fist to them.
Fraudulent Scammers – Do not engage with this company. i received an email stating i had placed an order for $200. I've never heard of this company and have never done business with them. When i rang the number i was met with a torrent of abuse from the, surprise surprise, Indian caller on the other end. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Invoiced without even knowing who they were – I received an email stating I was being charged $214. I have never heard of this company before. Thinking it was a scam i looked up their site and called the number there rather than the one in the email. The guy took my phone number and the reference number from the email and confirmed they were charging me! I had to say several times to cancel… Read more
the charge. He was insistent. I will be seeking action if they do take any money from me. This was not something I ever requested.
Always keep trying to make you pay extra – Been with them for over 3yrs, had anti malware, web root, platinum support plan but we still have issues and they keep asking for extra money for new threats not covered. Had to keep ringing every year to get webroot key that was already paid for. Told that expiry details in their system different to what sales person had provided me and he has… Read more
conveniently left company. Webroot no longer supported and now need new software. Cutting my losses and going elsewhere.
When in doubt always get a second quote – I have paid for an annual support contract for PC Tech Australia. They are available 24/7. They have been good on identifying and fixing security threats but . . . I had an issue a few days ago on my Microsoft Surface 3, which is about 4 years old. They analysed the problem as drivers needing update. They said it is not covered by the contract and… Read more
quoted me 1- 2 hours and $250.00 to fix it. I said it seems expensive and I will look elsewhere. I found DriverEasy online which will automatically create a RestorePoint and update all out of date drivers for $29.95. I did the update in a few minutes. I called PC Tech Australia, advised them of the DriverEasy price and asked if they thought their $250.00 quote was reasonable. They said "Yes." Motto of the story - Always get a second quote.
