That’s where it went downhill. Instead of honouring the warranty or sending a working A54 replacement, they offered me a Samsung A55 for $70 more. Funny enough, that’s exactly the advertised price of the A55 on their website. If I wanted an A55, I would have bought an A55. I paid for an A54 and expected a working one. As a result I have been without a working phone for a few weeks now.

When I told them to honour the warranty and either repair or replace the A54 I paid for, they went completely silent. No reply to my email. No reply to daily WhatsApp messages for over a week now. This looks like a bait-and-switch scam: sell faulty phones as “like new,” then upsell you to a more expensive model when you complain.

Save your money and your time. I highly recommend everyone stay away from PhoneBot. There are too many honest sellers out there to deal with this.

no same model replacements and I eventually said yes to a lower spec phone. This arrived and I plugged it in and it wouldn't charge. I advised them and they said send it back, they received the phone, didn't test it, didn't contact me and sent it back to me. I was surprised to receive the phone with no communication and plugged it in and guess what, it didn't charge. (Ffs) I contacted them, they said send it back. They received the phone, (tracking) and nothing for a fortnight then late on a Friday afternoon their manager [Name Removed] phones me and said yes it had a faulty charging port. He agreed to this and would process my refund and apologised for their handling of the situation. This was early January, so 5 months after I had purchased from them they agree to return my money. But wait there is more. They have in fact not returned my money yet and I am still waiting for the amount I paid to be reimbursed. They will not answer my phone calls my text messages and emails are all ignored. This company is full of liars and are very sad and pathetic individuals. Management has repeatedly provided an ARN (Acquirer Reference Number) that my bank, Emirates NBD, has confirmed is invalid/unsettled. On Jan 24, 2026, the company publicly promised a resolution within 24 hours on social media—this was yet another promise that was not kept.

I have been forced to escalate this to the ACCC (Australia) and the Dubai DET. A company should not be withholding customer funds for two months after a merchant-side cancellation

I purchased a refurbished iPhone 15 from Phonebot in February. The phone was in perfect condition, however at Easter it wouldn’t hold the charge. I returned it to the shop today. Yes, a faulty battery was the culprit and it was replaced under warranty today. I just had to return to the shop a few hours later. Wonderful service and staff. This is my third phone from Phonebot and it won’t be my last. I definitely recommend them.

Phonebot. Website states phones returned for refund will be inspected with a couple of days. It is now 10 days since Phonebot have received phone and I have not received a refund nor acknowledgment of progress.

AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. I purchased an iPhone 13 Pro Max advertised as “Like New” in July, and it was faulty from day one. worse, with a completely failed battery that rapidly degraded to the point where it had to be kept on charge constantly. This is nowhere near “Like New”—it’s not even acceptable as a basic working device.

Since then, I’ve spent MONTHS trying to get a refund and have been completely ignored. Phone calls go nowhere, emails are ignored, and there is zero accountability.

I’ve now returned the phone to them after leaving Australia, and—unsurprisingly—still no response.

This company is either grossly incompetent or deliberately misleading customers. Either way, you’re taking a serious risk buying from them.

Do yourself a favour and stay far away. Spend your money somewhere reputable instead.
