Took 6 weeks and deceitful liars
I dropped my iphone 12 pro off to Dr Boom Communications at Parramatta Westfield lvl 2 to the staff there who seemed approachable and acted confident as though the phone could be fixed. [Name Removed] the manager said it would be ready next weekend as they couldn't take it to their office until Thursday (understandable). I rang them on Friday asking if it was ready, and they replied with no not till next weekend. They repeated this statement for another four weeks before finally saying it was ready. When l showed up they said it still wasn't re... Read moready (just the start of the lying and blatant lack of care for customers). Now they are saying it will be another week at least. Low and behold next week rolls around and it still isn't ready. Finally after 6 weeks after dropping the phone off they say its ready for pickup and is completed. I show up expecting them to have finished the job but rather they say "we couldn't fix it". With [Name Removed] not present and only one person on who had no idea about the phone l was stuck. Despite the fact that [Name Removed] the manager who doesn't like to take responsibility and instead pins the blame on "somebody else" said the phone was done. [Name Removed] then proceeds to not answer any calls for another week before finally answering and basically saying something was wrong with the motherboard which they could have figured out in the first week if they cared enough about their customers. He then also blames it on other people who supposedly fixed the phone and said they went to great troubles to fix it. If they truly had they would have at least called me and let me know what was happening and perhaps if l still wanted to go ahead with everything else. Alongside all of this time wasting and lying I have also noticed that the large majority of the 5 star reviews are fake with fake accounts. Care to explain that? l fail to believe you are still in business after all this and clearly l am not the first to experience this crap with lots of other one or two star ratings. I would appreciate an in depth explanation and find out why you can't just be truthful with customers.

Not like it used to be
My family has been on and off customers of DrBoom for many years and about 5 years ago I gave these guys a stellar review (he asked me to and I willingly obliged as I was very satisfied with the service) but today I went and bought a new screen protector for my iPhone 14 ProMax Not only did the guy rush me when I asked if he was going to fit it for me he said he didn’t have time and it is easy to do myself… but I did understand and not really that upset about that. He convinced me that the more expensive $50 protector is “unbreakable” which I know is total nonsense but I thought well it must be better quality at least than the cheaper protector @ $30. When I got home and started to open packaging I noticed that both products are branded DRBOOM. So I was immediately skeptical. Boy was I right even though I put this thing on rather well it still has a warp so there is a permanent bubble in the top corner. So I would have rather gone to Officeworks and bought the Cygnett as they are high quality and come with a frame guide for install if you plan to do the install yourself. It wouldn’t be a big deal to me but the fact that I opted for the $50 protector for something that was so basic in its packaging and it’s claim using fancy language like nanotechnology, anti fingerprint (which is not true), has its own company branding made in china it felt like my money could have been spent better elsewhere than buying a generic rebrand with less self install reliability. Otherwise their range of other products is fine and the customer service is usually pretty good.

Consumers do not be fooled by the pleasantries and warm smiles. Be more concerned with assuring your purchase or service rendered is above board and not decieving...!!!
More particularly assure warranty on purchases or services as to not be disappointed. What in my experience was offered turned out to be far from accurate, misleading and blatantly false.
In my opinion in the interest of sparing another consumer from my pathetic experience I would strongly suggest you invest your hard earned at another more credible retailer who has your best interest at heart.
Finally, stay clear of the outlet manager as your concerns are seemingly not of his concern or that of the company he represents.... Read more

Excellent customer service
I had a MacBook that Apple deemed as unrepairable, i was pretty stressed as I had a lot uni information on it. I went in to Dr Boom and Jackie served me, she was very comforting and understanding. She promised to do everything she could to get it working and she delivered to that promise. The did a quick diagnosis on it and figured that the LED for the screen was the issue. It was back operational in less than 3 days. Thank you Jackie for your work and service. I’d absolutely come back and highly recommend everyone to go in

I was after a battery change, new cover and screen protector for my iPhone. I was pointed to Dr Boom Eastgardens. The shop was busy - where both team members Mariam and Mush worked together responding to numerous customers, fulfilling their requests, while being professional, friendly and attentive at the same time. Mariam assisted me in selecting the cover and screen protector while Mush installed a new battery. They explained the warranty period for the battery and the reason behind it being 3 months only.
