I booked my Appt with a G2U consultant. I specifically made sure my appointment was early enough as I am a shift worker and time sensitive. I left my credit card details via their sms portal reminder "to make payment easier on the day" the night before my appointment. No probs .... a courtesy call that the tech is running late. I waited to 10.45am ... then I called G2U to cancel the visit. The consultant stated it was going to cost me the cancellation fee as it is within the 24 hour penalty charge ... I repeated again, actually 3 times, my cancellation is due to the tech not showing up. She was " kind to offer me 50% off the cancellation penalty fee " ... lol I stated my situation again ... 4th time and she decided this time only, will they waiver the cancellation fee ... just this time.

Okay, because I am not going back again to use their service ... very poor and disappointed as I was looking for a solution to my laptop problem.

Booked an appointment 1 month early. Took leave to have the technician fix my computer. Never turned up. Called them and they couldn't get hold of him. Was asked to book on another day. I could have been notified of this. Waste of time and poor customer service.

I mind calling the 1300 number after 30min of being told it was to late to cancel my booking you will be charged a fee!! To sir you chose the booking time (no i didn't) in the end we rebooked for 9:30 Friday 2 pm today i received another call this time to tell me sorry we don't come to you area but if you are happy you can drive 1 hr to our office i live 15 minutes from Maitland for goodness sake the geeks2u call centre is the most unprofessional organisation I've ever dealt with the company is a joke i would not recommend Geeks2u unless you are desperate

Excellent experience – To start with booking an appointment with Geeks2U was the easiest thing I have ever done. Casey was on time and very friendly but professional. He spoke to me in terms that I could understand and was very thorough in investigating and fixing all my technical problems with my laptop and computer. 10/10 service & price for setting up my printer – My frustration was excruciating with setting up my new printer. I needed help. I recalled seeing the Geeks2U gift card at officeworks when I bought the printer, so decided to call them and get help. A lovely lady took my call at nearly 5:30 and we arranged someone to be here at 8am the next morning to help. Josh was lovely, easy to understand, and most importantly knew what he was doing. Was done in 30 minutes! By 9am I was fully operational. Show reply

I had called up Geeks2U to have a look at my computer as it stopped delivering a signal to my monitor, i thought it was the graphics card at first as i had purchased it second hand, it wasn't the graphics card but the monitor. I also had them install a new AIO liquid Cooler and a New Power Supply for my system. The technician handling my computer… Read more

had informed me that he didn't see anything wrong with the previous power supply's cables and wanted to plug them in to the new power supply unit, they also claimed that i told them to keep my brand new graphics card which is false, and i requested to have returned to my possession. Upon receiving my system back i noticed the AIO fans are not spinning, cables are littered everywhere and my front fans are now more inner then they were upon sending it in for repair. My glass side panel was also covered in smudges and still is, not happy. I will not recommend.

 Follow-up  · It's been a while since I had the service. I am not experiencing any problems at present but I wouldn't hesitate to engage them again. I would have them in an instant. Excellent value and the visits had no waiting time at all.

Benjamin was excellent and got my Outlook working splendidly. Benjamin also fixed a couple of other problems I had with Microsoft. I am over the moon with having things back to normal. Benjamin is very professional and a pleasure to work with. Next time I phone for assistance if at all possible I would like to have Benjamin come to assist. Show reply

 Follow-up  · In reply to your questions it was over a year ago that Benjamin came. Not only did he fix my Outlook but also transferred photos from my camera to my laptop. There may have been other things but I can't recall. I think Benjamin was here for about 3/4 hour. I have used Geeks to you many times over the years and it is money well spent.

Called geeks2U today for emergency phone problems for my mother in law’s phone. They were able to send someone to her within 2 hours and although they were unable to fix it, they stuck by there no fix no fee policy which is absolutely brilliant. I had a technician booked for between 10am and 11am today job no 1277549 I then received a message he will arrive between 11.45-12.00pm After no one showing and no message at 12.30 I contacted the service centre. wasted and at this point I felt its surely time to cancel as based on the days experience, I doubted the appointment would be kept. When I finally got thru to the overseas service centre they advised me they need a min 24hr cancellation so I will be charged! After losing my patience with this farse I was finally told I will not be charged. This was a horrific experience and a complete waste of an entire day...I will never use or recommend this company and wish anyone wishing to do so the best of luckl

call him back immediately. No call. It's now Thursday and I'm on hold again.... Unfortunately, the staff member has travelled to Melbourne so all we'd like (and happy to pay for it) is for the same technician to give us a call back. Previously been quite happy with Geeks2U but now I'll be looking elsewhere for support.

Disappointing. Called up for an indicative quote. Clearly explained what I needed. Printer set up on a LAN and a corrupt file replaced so I can access a laptop. Took 8 weeks and I was following up multiple times and dealing with rude and unqualified staff throughout the process. Tried to charge me 3 times the original price for the installation. first minute or so. I was assured my request could be catered for.

They sent a technician who was very unimpressed with the dog situation before even entering. He said he had allergies and was VERY worried about his white pants. I explained the explicit request I had made for someone ok with dogs.

He entered, the dogs did jump and he immediately started scowling and growling at them while dancing around to protect his pants. After a minute or two the dogs laid down but he carried his unprofessionalism into the support he offered me. He was dismissive, short and rude.

I called him out on it and expressed I wasn’t happy with the way he was communication with me. He asked if I wanted to cancel, I said yes, he tapped his phone and silently walked himself out, leaving the baby gates we use as a backup to ensure the dogs don’t get out, wide open. All of this happened in the matter of 7 minutes. To top it off, as the door banged behind him, I get an email with an invoice for $150.

I complained to customer service and they did say they were sorry but excused the technicians behaviour as probably due to him having a bad day.

Got my money refunded but was left with a computer that still wasn’t functioning and the task of finding someone less offensive to fix it. Had a great guy from a Geeks2U competitor come out. He fixed the computer competently and let the dogs sleep soundly in the room where he worked. No totally unnecessary drama and complete respect for the home he had entered.

 Follow-up  · At first I thought the booking process was flawless. The phone arrangements left me feeling everything was in place and that Geeks2U were highly organised. From that I felt more secure that a competent technician would arrive willing to help in a friendly way. That couldn’t have been further than the truth. Disappointed. I had my PC repaired by Geeks2U in November and by January it had failed again. I did use them many years ago, and the service was better then. I tried to get assistance from the geek who had assisted me, but got no response. Very expensive repair for just two months of service.

In other countries I could submit a court case for this unprofessional behaviour in Australia sadly we cannot.

A Geek2u repaired my laptop . The sound wasn't working. After 7 weeks the sound went again. I have contacted them for a repair. Get back to you in 48hrs they said. Still waiting a week later.
