Omar arrived right on time and had told me a few different reasons why my computer was lagging. he gave me a solid price point for both options which I appreciated (no hidden costs) - he worked his magic and kept me informed throughout the process. very friendly and will use again :)
Very good service
My computer died. David tried to fix it but t was beyond help. Therefore no charge. Purchased new computer and David returned to set it up and transfer all programs and documents etc from old one. Done with no hassle. Certainly will use Geeks2U for any future problems
Competent IT service
I had an email problem which the Geeks2U technician fixed quickly. He explained what he was doing, which to me is important. The technician arrived on time. He seemed knowledgeable, was friendly and presentable. I have used the service before and would use it again.
very poor service
recently switched providers. Called geeks to marry tpg email with Incredimal service that I have used for years. First tech ran into problems at the end of first our still unsuccessful, but blamed tpg for being down ( I rand- not true). Called geeks to complain.....4 times. Stated they would get tech to call me each time I rang-never rang. On 5th call stated they would get another tech arranged. Five mins before appt- tech cancelled appt- I had to take the day off work for this appt!!!. Arranged fr appt the next day (again I took day off work)-...this time never showed up at all. Geeks attempted to contact tech-????????. Arranged for 3rd tech to come to my house- they said no charge as this is " warranty work"- nice man showed up but could not do the task initially contracted. BUT STILL INITIAL CHARGE TAKEN- ISN'T SLOGAN IF CAN'T FIX PROBLEM THEN NO CHARGE?????. I still have the original problem, but am out $159-00!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My new printer issues are sorted...
My printer issues were sorted in the allotted hour & I can now print from my computer without any issues. Many thanks to Brad for his assistance in sorting out my mess. He cleaned the printer heads and got the printer printing again and determined I needed to use a USB cable to connect my laptop to the printer for it to work for me. Now finally my documents for my trip are printed. Thank you Brad.
Challenging problem worked out
Kenneth arrived as scheduled. He was presented with a challenging problem involving a Seagate NAS. The problem had been too difficult for my son and son-in-law, who both work in IT, although not with this type of problem. After quite a long time a satisfactory solution was worked out.
Problems resolved happily
I had been advised that my computer banking had been comprised and possibly that my computer had been hacked, correct on both instances, Sam from Geeks2U came to our house, found and rectified the issues in a quick and professional manner and at all times explained what he was doing and what he found.

New computer set-up - brilliant
My Geeks2U experience was excellent. This company is so good to deal with - professional, considerate and so very helpful at all stages. My consultant arrived on time, set up my new computer and transferred all my files. I had some special software requirements which he installed perfectly. Absolutely brilliant.
I was charged $375 for something that wasn't fixed. My E drive was not working and causing error messages. The technician gave me a number of different quotes to fix this. One was $600 if he did the job on the weekend, $300 if I got someone to do it on a weekday, $400 if he took it away and did it. I chose the 3rd option. He had the computer for 8 days. The purpose of getting a mobile technician is so that they can get things fixed quickly. He was supposed to come back on a Saturday between 10 to 11. He rang at 10.10 to advise he hadn't complet...ed the job and would return it at 3pm. He didn't turn up at that time - I had to ring the company and he came at 4.45pm mumbling something about 'data', stayed for 10 minutes and told me that he can't guarantee that E drive would continue to work and did I know how to format it myself? Hmmm, I thought that was the job of the technician not the customer. He said he didn't format the drive as it would have cost me $600 to do that. Still E drive is not working. I contacted the company to advise them that I was not happy with the service - not once but twice - via email and the telephone. I was assured by the person that took the call that they would reach a resolution and they would call me back later that day. They didn't call me back - they were supposed to ring me on Sunday but it is now Friday and no call.

Long term problem solved!
The arrangement over the phone was easy and friendly. I had a problem with one of my email accounts for over 18 months and it was very tiresome and inconvenient to miss important emails. The technician arrived on time, was very competent and fixed the problem before he left. I am impressed.
