A business that doesn't value walk-in customers – I recently visited Peace Lily Mattress Shop with the intention of purchasing a new mattress, but unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. Upon arriving, I was immediately informed that the store operates by appointment only. While I understand businesses can sometimes require appointments, I was disappointed that this wasn’t clearly mentioned anywhere on their website that walk-ins are not welcomed, making the visit feel a bit like an inconvenience.
The salesperson who greeted me was quick to rush me to hurry up since a booked customer was arriving soon, which created a sense of pressure and discomfort. It didn’t help that there was no other staff available to assist, leaving me feeling a bit stranded.
The atmosphere was uninviting, with no attempt made to make me feel welcome or appreciated as a potential customer. On top of that, the parking lot was mostly taken up by staff cars, making it difficult to find a spot. The condition of the store itself was another letdown - both inside and out, it felt very run-down. It was not the polished, clean, and inviting space I had anticipated.
As for the products, I was underwhelmed. A quick glance at the mattresses left me with the impression that the quality was much lower than what it looks online, which was another major disappointment.
Overall, I was left feeling disheartened by the experience. I understand businesses can have off days, but this visit did not inspire confidence in either the store or its products. Based on this visit, I would not recommend Peace Lily Mattress Shop, especially considering the lack of attention to customer comfort, the poor condition of the store, and the questionable quality of the merchandise.

Hi John, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re truly sorry to hear that your recent visit didn’t meet your expectations. At Peace Lily, we value all customer experiences, and it’s important to address your concerns. We’d like to clarify that while our showroom operates by appointment to ensure personalised attention, we happily accept walk-ins whenever possible. If a booking overlaps, we’re always happy to assist walk-ins who are comfortable waiting. Regarding your visit, our team member was on a tight schedule as our next appointment was due in 10 minutes. Unfortunately, it seems you chose not to stay to explore our products further, which could have provided a more complete impression of what we offer. While we’re glad you were able to find parking outside, we apologise if the layout caused any inconvenience. As for the store’s appearance and your assessment of our products, it’s unfortunate that a brief glance may not have offered the full impression of the premium quality and design we pride ourselves on. We hope you’ll consider scheduling an appointment to give us another chance to provide the experience and attention you deserve, but we completely understand if you choose otherwise. If you have further questions or concerns, feel free to reach out. Warm regards, [Name Removed] (Customer Service Manager)
