hills and headwinds no more probs – I got the mamba venom original not that antidote model,I think mine is called mamba venom gen 1 ebike, purchased bike from Avocado ebike in Sydney after reading google reviews,my ebike was $ 2100 with samsung 20 amp hour battery included, another reason I bought this bike from Avocado is that they carry most parts for this bike including bigger… Read more

batteries, anyways its not a bad bike, gets me up big hills no probs just using peddle assist 3 and that gets you around 25 klms speed limit,it is best to stick to the rules,it does have an offroad function but I have had no need to use that, even on hills,I like the design of the bike but a nice upgrade would be stainless steel spokes with semi- smooth tires, steers well and brakes well, comfortable seat, has very strong rear rack that can carry saddle bags, its an easy bike to ride and work out the functions it has, handles well,it does have some cheaper components on it like, chain, cassette, steel spokes and not the greatest tires but most ebikes at this price point are like this ,you can allways do a custom rebuild yourself and upgrade some things on this bike, motor and big 20 amp hour battery is very nice, sydney bicycle paths are awesome,no more traffic probs

Pete's 100km Rider Review – This is a great eBike for getting around your local streets and cycleways, but isn't suitable for off-road without rear suspension. Easy to adjust the riding position for comfort, I'm 174cm (5' 9") and chose the 27.5" wheels which overall seem to fit my size. Riding mostly on Power 3-4, cruising at 30-35km seems effortless, I enjoy a light… Read more ·  1

peddle rather than just throttle drive and then use Power 5 just for fun. It gets up the steepest his around my area and places I wouldn't attempt without the 750w peak (500w continuous) drive motor. The carry rack allows me to leave my backpack at home and is handy for a lock (which you'll need to buy separately).

Only slight dislike is the inaccuracy of the battery level in the display, it takes 8 hours to charge the 18Ah battery. Also there's no connectivity to an App or security alarm. I'm puzzled why there isn't any mounting screws for a drink bottle holder. Hey I know I'm being picky here so you see there isn't anything really 'wrong' with the ride.

If you want an eBike that not only looks good but also gets you around town in comfort and has decent power and range then this is 100% what I would recommend.

It is OK - sort of – You get what you pay for - this bike seemed like a bargain. My bike needed repairs twice in the first 12 month of life. Part of the battery cap broke off after hitting a bump in a driveway. Not covered under warranty as they said these things don't break (funny that they repaired it and then charged me for it). The suspension leaves a lot to… Read more

Absolute Rubbish – Not worth buying spokes brake easily after a few months rear hub issues and brake callipers that leak hydraulic fluid bike was good for speed but that’s it the rest of the bike is junk and will just keep falling apart the more you use it. Impossible to get parts through where it was purchased and other bike shops won’t touch them. Show details

Instructions for mamba venom controller – I bought a Mamba venom second hand and cannot find instructions for the LCD controller display. I have found some very similar but not the same. On the plus and minus switch thingy mine doesn't have the side buttons but between the + and - it has a button with M on it? Show details

Mamba double strike – Disappointing torque Goes on flat ok to max 40kmhr but going up any sort of decent hill it's garbage...practically comes to a halt and the motor makes a grinding noise as it dies...very poor...misrepresented in the sales advert..."hills are thing of the past"...at least I can walk up hills...better off without the bike in hilly areas Show details

Expecting better performance – The reason for buying a bike was to travel to work and back instead of car. I needed an ebike one with a bit of grunt as I have a steep hill to navigate at about 20-25% grade. The bike flys along on the flat but its the hill that slows it down, starts off on level 3 power and going to 4 and 5 dont make any different. I still like to sit down all… Read more

the way up but the speed slows to about 15 kph and its still hardish work. I hold up traffic as its a narrow road. I had a 250w Velectric before and the two are similar in performance up the hill.

Unstoppable – Purchased September 22 this bike just keeps going, 6000 kilometres and no problems apart from general ware brake pads and bald rear tire, great for cycle paths rail trails and some gravel, not recommended for jumps or true mountain bike trails, throttle is very handy for starting of on hills and crossing busy roads, speed 43 kph, 48v 17ah battery should get you 60 kilometres, Purchased from Pedl Redfern great service Show details

Good bike for the money – Bought the Mamba double strike with dual suspension. So far I think it’s great. Good power and looks well built. Time will tell if it remains problem free. I will report on my experience in the future. The only real issue is the brakes are not up to the performance of the bike. With standard pads they are noisy and lack power. I changed the pads… Read more

to genuine Shimano pads and the performance is much better. Brakes are quiet and much more powerful. The Shimano pads are about $29 but well worth it IMO. Also the bike has no manual for the control display but I found this manual on line which is fairly comprehensive. Overall happy so far. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/2838136/King-Meter-K5242-Lcd.html

Owned the bike now for 15 months (1200klms) and no real problems. Seems to be holding up ok. Battery life is still good. Spoke nipples are not stainless and have some corrosion. Don’t know why they wouldn’t use stainless. Couldn’t add much to the price. In my original review I complained about the brakes and changing the pads helped but they got noisy again and I still wasn’t happy with the brake power. I eventually changed the front brake for a Shimano hydraulic brake and can now stop and stop quietly. Back brake is still rubbish. Still think it’s a good bike but there’s plenty of choice now so would definitely look around at what else is on offer before buying again.

First eBike but what a winner – My 1st eBike and could not believe how good it is. I did quite a bit of research wanting a bike to ride to work and back with a bit of weekend touring. So powerful its almost dangerous. Does require some careful riding to learn the eBike at first. I'm down in Melbourne so had it shipped. Assembled in under an hour with a bit of help from the youtube video pedl sent me. Amazing value and a great bike. Show details

A perfect bike for a very reasonable price – This is my third e-bike. While I have some reservations on my previous two, this one is just perfect. After 300 kms I cannot blame it on anything. The ride is soft and comfortable, the power assistance is very powerful and responsive, the brakes are fantastic and the overall built quality is great. Battery lasts for more than 90 kms on P2-P3 when… Read more

I also help it with pedalling (that is how I like to ride). But even riding on full P5 electric power for 15 rms drains less than 25% of battery

What fun bike to ride and what a great alternative to getting the car out to do messages! – After doing a lot of research on e-Bikes, I decided to go into Pedl at Redfern and check out and test ride the Mamba Venom. What I wanted was a commuter bike that could get me around my local area pretty quickly instead of having to use my car. I also wanted a bike that if required, I could take on long rides into the city or to check out other… Read more

areas and various cycleways around Sydney without getting too tired from the long ride. Ryan at Pedl was great. He answered all my questions about the bike allowed me to have a test ride on it. I was immediately impressed by the build quality of the bike and the amazing power and speed that it had. It handled the road conditions and hills etc with ease. Being a motorbike rider myself, it was not too different to riding a low powered version of my motorcycle without having to pay for the rego, fuel and upkeep etc! After deciding to purchase the bike I paid a little extra for the larger long range battery and for front and rear mudguards and for a rear bag rack. I am now ready to ride just about anywhere and at a good pace and know that I won’t get too tired when I go on long rides. I have only had the bike for a week. So far I am really pleased with the bike and I just love riding it! The bike gets me around effortlessly and has plenty of power to take me up the steepest of hills. In my opinion the Mamba Venom is a great value for money e-bike. It has amazing build quality for the price, is very comfortable to ride and has amazing performance. I can thoroughly recommend the bike to anyone wanting a great value, high quality and great performing e-bike that I think will give great service for many years to come.

Ebike Heaven – OK so i have had ebikes before but mainly ones that were converted from a standard bike to an ebike. This bike was designed from the ground up to be an ebike and its practicality and quality of manufacture show once you have put it together. The bike was delivered within a few days (I am in WA) and it took me about an half an hour to put… Read more

together. I would say an hour all up when checking that every nut and bolt, brakes etc were well adjusted. It was fairly easy for me, but i am quite handy and like to do my own maintenance and repairs to things.

The bike build and tools that came with it are all of good quality and I was more impressed than I thought i would be with everything except the riding/usage instructions which are very basic.

I did some research and I am now pretty comfortable that I now know what I need to know.

I have modified the settings on the power delivery to a maximum speed of 25kph whether using the throttle alone or pedalling the bike go faster than 25kph (the law in WA). In other words the bike will assist you to get to 25kph and then stop assisting, any speed above that is your effort. Or you can just sit back and pull the throttle to 25kph. (I believe the max speed before my modification was 45kph).

So far I have done 53Kms over three rides, two from work (+30m elevation) and one to work. The battery shows 62% charge left. Which means in the same conditions I should easily get 100+kms out of one charge.

I hasten to add that I have the power delivery on 3 which will get me to the max of 25kph and I am pedalling quite hard as well. The reason for this is for me not to just have a motorbike, I want to increase my fitness and get to work in a reasonable time. The hills I have to navigate are quite steep and strenuous but the motor makes them almost disappear and that makes the decision to ride to work an easy one.

I bought mine from www.avocadoebike.com - Delivery was super quick and everything went well.

On my order I increased the battery to 17ah from 15ah and added the fenders (mudguards) and rear rack.

Video to change max speed - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-jDT7gP2Aqk

Manual - https://manuals.plus/cmacewheel/cmacewheel-electric-bike-manual#operation_guide not for Mamba Venom but information and links relatively helpful.

Time to have some fun – I'm happy with the bike and the entire experience.i will say it's not as powerful as I thought if you hit a steep hill you'll need a run up and get off your seat to pedal. That could be my weight as I'm 115kg it's definitely got good medium range torque. Yet to see the range of a full charge, I will use it on pedal assist no 5 maybe 3 to increase… Read more

range. The throttle is handy for takeoffs ext but more power when pedelling you can't just sit on the throttle up a hill doesn't work. Anyway better than my old bike and gives me ideas for what to consider in the future.

So far so good. Best value ebike I could find in Aus – Have only had this bike for a few days so far. Purchased from PedL, staff were great. The bike looks good and packs plenty of power, hills are no problem. It came in a box and needed some basic assembly. Instructions were pretty much non-existent but assembly and operation is pretty straightforward. Show details

A beast on the road packed with values – This bike has been an amazing investment, have been riding other e-bikes but the MAMBA VENOM has serious grunt to it. Let there be Venom! Amazing bike – This is an excellent ebike! My wife purchased the Mamba Venom for me a couple of months ago for my birthday and I can honestly say that i love her for it! I have been impressed with the quality of the design which is quite comfortable, safe to ride but the thing I enjoy the most is the power! Feel I am enjoying my new toy and I would highly recommended the Mamba Venom to anyone thinking about getting an ebike. Show details
