Great efficient service, quick delivery. Bike works reasonably well, only makes a clicking sound when dual motors are used. Still investigating this. But when only using rear motor, it works a treat.
I received my S600 e-bike the other day—everything arrived in good condition and assembly was straightforward. I’ve charged the battery, taken it for a ride, and after resetting the speed to 30 kph, it’s been fantastic so far. The only issue I’ve come across is a noticeable clunking sound when going over small bumps, almost like it’s bottoming… Read more
out. After having a closer look, it seems the seat post may be hitting the rear rack. I’m not sure if this means the suspension/shock isn’t working properly or if something needs adjustment. Could you please advise if this can be adjusted or what might be causing the issue? It’s quite noticeable and a bit annoying over even small bumps.

I really love this bike. It’s a little bit harder suspension than I expected. I have been very jarred when I hit potholes but it’s exceeded my expectations in every other way. I absolutely love it and it’s bought real joy into my life. For the price I could absolutely forgive it not having decent suspension to be honest. I certainly wouldn’t be… Read more
riding trail on it! But for road riding and bike paths and even reasonably smooth dirt it’s proved admirable. I admit I zip along at max speed as I use it mostly for commuting… Actually I use it all for commuting at this stage up to 50 km a day. The battery is usually on one bar by the time I do this, I pedal all the time as fast as I can, often just because that’s what I’m used to and I can actually get a little bit of a workout (higher HR) that way by spinning the legs! The headlight is really good and I like that the tail light comes on when you brake… The little horn is also quite loud for warning people when you’re coming past. My bike shop said they recommend me bring it in for service after 1000 K and that I will probably go through the tyres quite quickly and the service at least initially will cost about $100 or so… With this in mind, it may not end up being all that economical if price of fuel wasn’t so high but it also saves wear and tear on one’s motor vehicle and just being outside feeling the wind and sun in your face is delightful… Especially when you’re not sweating at the same time ha ha ! Brakes are so-so but as an experienced writer with also so many decades of riding motorbikes in the past I’m fairly astute at reading conditions. I could see this being a trap for the unwary though, especially at the speeds they can go. I’m a 63-year-old female who used to do a lot of sports but has got a little lazier in the last year or so… And my mountain bike had been sitting with flat tyres in the garage for probably two ! This bike definitely has made me enjoy riding again! I’m so very happy I bought this bike and I think it’s really good value for money. I have had it for about six weeks I guess and done 500 km on it. I bought a second battery just in case I need that and I’m having trouble charging the other one and I think that’s a good thing to do personally.

Bike arrived in two days, battery 4 days later. Excellent service Show details
I can only say positive things about my buying experience from Merkx. Before my purchase I received amazing customer service from Merkx via their messaging service. The bike arrived about a week or 10 days later in two deliveries. One for the bike itself and another for the battery. Setup was simple and the bike is built like a tank. Not too heavy… Read more
and comfortable and easy to manage. I absolutely love it and have zero regrets with my purchase. Would I but another bike from Merkx in the future? ABSOLUTELY :)
I absolutely love this bike, it was so easy to assemble, and so user friendly in setting up the bike through the ladder interface, beside that its such a good ride and very responsive, I have no hesitation at all to recommend this fine product. Show details · 1

front suspension could have adjustments on them to get the best ride. Very happy with my purchase. of the two S600s
Follow-up · Display is great no issues at all Battery Life I have had close to 150kms without a charge but that is with continuous rotation of the pedals brakes are good not sure I would want to try and pull up instantly from 47kph. But for general usage fantastic don’t abuse them

The S600 is great – I am really enjoying my new S600. I haven’t had any problems with the S600 at all, although I did replace the 3 inch tyres with 4 inch tyres before I had even ridden the bicycle so that I could ride the sandy trails that we have here in Perth Western Australia. This bike is almost unstoppable in soft sand situations and always controllable. The… Read more · 1
added comfort of the suspension system and the larger tyres is a feature that I really appreciate, as my old body wasn’t enjoying some of the rougher tracks that I had been riding on with my other bike. The range that I’m getting out of the batteries is exceptional. Yesterday I completed a 50 km ride and by the look of the remaining charge, I could’ve done another 50 km. That was very impressive but this may be because I set my maximum speed to 35 km/h rather than unlimited. The gearshift is very smooth and the pedal assist, something I wasn’t particularly used to, becomes intuitive. I had expected that the saddle would require changing, but it doesn’t, it is very comfortable on long rides. I may do other modifications to the S600 overtime and as I get to understand the bike more. The purchase price leaves a lot of room for being able to modify and still be thousands of dollars cheaper than if I had purchased a similar bicycle from a higher profile brand. Dealing with Merkx has been a very good experience and I have found them easy to contact when I have questions to ask.
Very happy with bike – Name: Mike V. Received bike on 4th June 24, current date 19th October 24. I think I paid $2,390 delivered. I purchased a second battery so I could ride as far as possible and have the second battery to get back home. I am 115kgs and live in a very hilly Nambour. This bike has the power to get me up the steepest hills and roads in Nambour. I… Read more · 1
regularly ride to the beach and along the coast up to 70 kms round trip, with more kms available. I found the tire walls too thin, having constant flats, so I purchased 2 of 2.1m x 70mm x 6mm plate rubber, ground the edges and fitted into the tyres, this solved the flat tyre experience at a cost to range, hence the 70 km plus limit for the two batteries. It took me a while to learn how to get the best performance from the bike. Like how to manage the two motors, and the five levels of power assist to extend range and yet make hill climbs easy. If both motors are selected at traffic lights, my take off is as fast as the general traffic. I found the brakes are highly effective, pulling me up very quickly, whether in traffic or down steep mountain trails. To date, the bike has clocked 1,246 kms, including a few tight and steep mountain bike trails, which really put me to the test. I found it is not so well suited to mountain bike trails, being on the heavy side and too large for tight hairpins, never the less, it still got me through, with any shortcomings being my inexperience, rather than the fault of the bike. (I wouldn't recommend doing it as those tracks are more suited to bush bashing and this bike is too nice to wreck). Beach riding is another matter, it handled the sand at low tide with ease, but struggled big time in the soft, dry sand near the dunes, having 2 wheel drive did make it possible however. I think the rear suspension definitely could to with improvement and adjustability as it is virtually non existent, the front suspension is almost adequate, though it could also do with improvement, especially when jumping obstacles like the kerb or fallen branches. I like that the 26" wheels are big enough to roll over obstacles where bikes with smaller wheels would have great difficulty. The gear change is faultless, though I am constantly searching for a higher top gear when at or around 50 to 65 kph. The headlight is more than adequate for night riding and the horn is amply loud enough to alert pedestrians of your approach. I purchased a cheap pair of handlebar tube-end mirrors on ebay, for under $10 each as pictured and they work a treat. Cannot source tyres or tubes from anyone but Merkx and would love a more heavy duty tyre option even at a cost to range- getting flats is a pain, especially how with wide wheels, the tyres roll off the rims and you end up with a major drama, just trying to move it even a short distance with the tyre and tube flaying around all over the place. Another feature I really like is the hub motors, this means no extra strain on the bike chain and if a chain was broken, you could continue on motor power alone, without inconvenience. I love my S600 and am totally stoked with my purchase. When comparing its looks and features with other bikes on the market, I had difficulty finding comparable features on any other bikes under $10k, and none of them had 2 kW of power. I look for any excuse to take it for a ride. If there was one improvement I would love to see, it would be downhill recharging or regenerative braking. All in all, I treasure this bike and consider it one of my most satisfying purchases.
dissapointed – I,m 6.1ft and 100 klgs this bike will pull up steep hills but that's about its only strong point, realistic battery range pedalling with single motor and occasional dual motor use is around 20 to25 klms, The front forks do not have lockout or adjustable damping in fact i can't feel any damping at all just stiff springs, same for the rear, while… Read more
assembling discovered all the spokes were loose and needed adjusting before riding, the power level settings don't work from the factory and you need to drop the maximum speed setting down to approx 50klms for them to have any effect, this itself is misleading as the settings don't actually change the the power assistance level but only the speed at which the motor stops assisting so the the power is either on or off there's no adjustment to adjust the effort required to pedal, The mudguards are cheap pressed metal and the rear moves around and there is no rear tail light the seat is pretty average and the handlebars are to low for a tall person so will need to purchase a stem riser, the brakes are on the wrong side for australia but the hydraulic pipes can easily be swapped over so they are correct, the front wheel motor is extremely noisy so can only assume there is something not right with it as the rear motor is normal, overall the bike is heavy and budget built, great advertising and promotion but if i was able to inspect before buying would not have purchased there are many other bikes out there for similar money and much better quality mamba venom comes to mind with the only disadvantage being the lack of extra motor on really steep hills

Great bike. Took around 45 mins to assemble by an expert. Yep decided to pay someone in case we didn't do right. Our son is averaging around 60km a day over Easter on it. We bought a second battery, but it's heavy and not practical to take with him on longer rides. He tells me his max speed is around 45km, but it chews through the battery so he's… Read more
averaging around 25km so he can spend longer out with friends. His friends are impressed. Customer service was good and they were helpful tracking down the delivery company as it sat in Melb for a few days - not Merkx fault - as well as answering questions before we bought. Great online chat feature. There is a Facebook group dedicated to this bike so it has a good following. The brakes could do with an upgrade as not as responsive as they could be.
Bought this for my 6'2" husband to get up and down our steep hill and around the village and local beaches. It's big and sturdy and powerful. He absolutely loves it. A bit heavy compared to other e-bikes, but no problem for a strong guy. This bike is a lot of bang for your buck. Customer service also very good if you have any questions. Show details
this machine is unbelievable I have lots of hills and gravel and the front motor makes all the difference The power is a bit scary at times and the range seems to be endless on pedal assist Thanks Merkz for easy delivery and set up Show details
My old bike was a MX05 which is an absolutely great bike, but the S600 takes it to the next level. The 160nm of torque makes it a real winner up those steep hills. Well done Merkx for having great back up service, I congratulate you. Show details · 1

Looks to be a very good quality ebike for the price. Easy to assemble and seems to have sufficient power and battery life for extended trips. I have only ridden for the week, will be interesting to see how it is in 6 months. Overall, very happy with purchase based on value and quality of S600. Show details
