Excellent – I use the Pentax istDs for my hobby, I produce images that are as high in quality as friends with newer DSLR's such as the Canon and Nikon. Unlike other brands the istDs came with a Sigma 18 - 50 mm lens which is superb. The addition of an after market grip similar to the ist models double battery grip makes the camera very stable in even the biggest hands.

The Pentax RAW images are fantastic and the free software upgrade means I can use a 4Gb card with no problems.

When I am ready to upgrade to a bigger DSLR I will probably stick with Pentax. Produces a great picture out of the box. no on board memory
