The perfect camera – A bought this camera as an upgrade of the K-7 and it does everything the K-7 does and more. I use it for travelling and journalism assignments. The small size means it fits comfortably in the carry-on baggage of an aeroplane and the weather sealing means I can even take photos during monsoonal rain. I know this because I have done it. The body has inbuilt shake reduction so it even works with magnificent old Pentax film-era lenses. The ASP-C sensor is more than adequate for most jobs and has the advantage that the body can be made smaller. Almost everyone you see has Nikon or Canon, if you see someone with a Pentax it's often because he understands photography and buys a camera based on merit, not on brand name. Shake reduction, weather seals, lens compatibility, high ISO performance, small size, solid build

Excellent camera – I've had a K5 for about 3 months now (came from an Olympus 510). I love the ISO 80 setting gives great dynamic range. The K5 is also relatively small for a DSLR. It feels great in my hands - small and sturdy. I like the weather sealing dont have to be too paranoid about dust/water entering the camera when using it outside. The controls are quite intuitive and has alot of features. so far really I have no complaints with this camera. Oh also it gives nice clean images even up to 1600 ISO. Great for low light photography. dynamic range, low light, intuitive menu system, weather sealing, small size body, good weight nothing so far
