Pentax K-7

Excellent – A great camera with more features than most need. HD video is handy, live view works very well. Very much recommended. The best Pentax DSLR yet. Much better value than others in its class. 40+ years of lenses work with this camera. I'm still using my 50/1.7 from 1977. In body shake reduction means stable images with all lenses. High ISO noise could be a bit better, its not all that bad, just like to see less.

Excellent – The camera is excellent for the outdoors or travel. It is weather proof and dust proof. The image quality is excellent, if coupled with the pentax DA* lenses with F4 apature you truely get pin sharp results. The layout and ergonomics is by far better then any other camera I own. It is well balanced in the hand and very insticntive to use. I have a Canon 5D mark 2, a full frame monster. As well as a Sony NEX 5. The Pentax k7 slots right between these two cameras.

I will be taking the K7 on my next holiday because of its light weight and with a cropped sensor I get more reach for less glass! Rugged go anywhere DSLR
