It just works – I started off as a sceptic when it comes to anything “ultrasonic” to deter animals. Pestrol Solar Cat Repeller really works! The “high” setting for big animals actually hurts my ears when i tried it in front of my face (“medium” setting for cats). Years of (stray) cat poo in my backyard on soil, grass, and stones — finally no more cat poo after i turned on Pestrol Solar Cat Repeller. Easy set up too.

Purchased in at Pestrol for $89.90.

Excellent products and great service – These solar cat repellers are well made and durable. We bought similar products from eBay and Amazon and they were poorly made and didn’t last for six months. They are very effective against unwanted cats. Since we have 3 of these , the cats have stopped roaming around our garden and lawn and even our neighbors’ house. If you have unwanted cats problems don’t hesitate to get these products , they WORK. Thank you for great customer service.

Purchased in at Pestrol for $80.

Perfect – Simple to setup and install. On cloudy days it gets enough charge to be effective. Our neighbours cats now ignore our yard, being able to adjust the range is good for small yards as well as big yards.

No more pesky cats in our yard, humanely – We were having a big problem with many cats in our neighbourhood coming around the front of our house at night and marking their territory. We had installed sensor security lights and cameras (not for this purpose, purely for security). It was then that we knew how many cats were using the front of our house as a thoroughfare. At lease 3 or 4 different cats per night. Constantly triggering the front lights too, it was starting to look like a disco. All night. Going back and forth. Then in the morning, we would have the clean up. As we don't have pets, this was becoming very annoying and were at our wits end to try and stop this behaviour. We had tried every crazy method people suggested, pepper, chilli flakes, moth balls, vinegar spray, nothing worked at getting the cats to avoid our house. I had bought products from Pestrol before and have been impressed so I looked on their website to see if there is anything to help. YES! The Solar Cat Repeller. Once again, I called them to ask exactly how it worked, to see if it was suitable for what we needed. The salesman was great. He explained how it works on sound frequencies that we can't hear but animals can, the frequency is adjustable as well, to suit the size animal you want to repel. The sensor also has an adjustable span and length, to suit the size of your area and the position you put it in. It works via a motion sensor, when the animal crosses the beam of the sensor, the sound is emitted. We can only hear a slight clicking sound. Another feature is a flashing light, this doesn't have to be on, we have chosen not to have that on. The high frequency sound has worked on it's own. I purchased it over the phone in March 2021 and it didn't take long to arrive. Really happy with the service. After seeing the cats had a usual run that was close to our house from one side to the other, on a little path that runs across the front of our house (backing up and spraying as they went) we decided it would be a good idea to put it in the middle, facing the house. We have a garden there, so we put in a small PVC pipe so that the stake of the repeller sits in it. That way we can swing it around if needed. This has worked out well because the cats aren't completely silly and have tried different ways of coming into our yard. We've also faced it towards the house so that it doesn't bother people's dogs as they pass our house while out walking. I could see it was affecting the cats right from the first night. They were skitterish, looking around in confusion, then running away. One was quite funny, jumped up in the air, ran down the drive then along the footpath, staring at the house. Completely unharmed but spooked. HOORAY!!! Slowly, after a couple of weeks, they eventually learnt not to come through our yard any more. No more front lights going off every 20 minutes. AND, the best thing is, no more cat spray on the front of our house. Last week we had huge storms coming with strong winds, so we decided to bring the repeller in because we couldn't imagine the cats would be out in weather like that. They stayed home... those nights.. We forgot to put it back in the garden, couldn't believe it when as soon as the weather was clear, back came one of the cats! So, we will have the Solar Cat Repeller in our front garden from now on. It definitely works. Highly recommend it. I must add that there was one very big cat, absolutely huge. We had the setting on medium frequency at first and all of the other cats hated it, but this big one wasn't deterred at all. So, the next day I set it to high frequency, we haven't seen him since. Thank you Pestrol for making our life much more pleasant. I'm sure we will be looking at more products if we get more pest problems.
