As others have said, these ultrasonic "scarecrows" don't work – For my use case (scaring birds off my newly seeded lawn, I could not recommend the ultrasonic deterents at all. Birds did indeed react to the audible siren but the same siren also was going off every few minutes on a moderately windy day. As a result I didn't want to leave it out 24/7 so I wouldn't distrub the neighbours. I got in contact with Pestrol, and they were amazing in working with me, and honestly time over, i should have rung them first rather than guessing my way through my problem. They offered up an alternate solution to my ongoing bird issue which I will now employ to see if I can solve it.
This product may work well for other pests & other use cases. Just not the damn pidgeons I was trying to get rid of.
Purchased in at pestrol for $139.

This product does not work! – This product does not work as advertised! I purchased this device to deter a pesky wallaby in my garden. The device may have been somewhat of a deterrence initially but soon found my plants again being damaged by this hungry animal. When I found fresh wallaby poo 1 meter from where the device was installed, I contacted Pestrol to arrange for this device to be returned for a refund. They did not want to give me a refund since the purchase date was 4 days outside than their 30day full refund policy. I thought that was very harsh! I don't think I'll buy anything from them again.

Hey Michael, It was nice chatting with you earlier, while the units themselves are pretty good at what they do, we always do find some instances where they might not be the best fit for the situation. Please let me know how you go with that alternate item I suggested to you on the phone!
Cheers, Carl
