OK range but the Aquarium section ignores you and hope you leave. I just collected $300 worth of goods from an internet order and wanted to spend another $100 on aquarium products but after standing around in the aquarium section for 5 minutes with 2 staff members glancing over but ignoring me while they have a conversation I got tired of waiting… Read more
- this is always the experience I have there - I have waited for 15 minutes before and just walked out - the staff will look at you and just ignore you and talk amongst themselves. I don't know how the owners/management don't see a reflection of this poor service in their sales as it has certainly stopped me from making purchases and from the looks of these reviews it must be impacting massively on their financial performance..
What a disgrace – I don't know how this place is still running? Really bad customer service & the way they keep the animals is shameful. Lazy comes to mind & suggest going elsewhere
No customer service at al – If you are visiting this store for a customer service experience, then don’t! Online experience reflects in store experience too
Pet City's Chicken Feed is Amazing – I have 3 chickens and they live quite a lavish life. They are quite picky with what they like to eat and I will regularly switch out brands to find something ideal. After visiting Pet City, I tried their home brand "Candy Crush" and the girls absolutely love it! So do I actually, they have never produced so well before. If you want to increase… Read more
the health of your chickens and make them lay more, I would definitely recommend picking up some of their candy crush as a treat for your chickens!
Terrible customer service – Great selection of bird toys as long as you never have a problem because the customer service is non-existent, they will not help you in any way and may actually just be rude.
Live Fish – Have bought some fish from this shop before. They are Ok. They probably need to do more maintenance on their tanks and their fish are a bit expensive. probably wouldnt recommend them for fish. They do seem to have tanks with dead fish in them.
Not Good Enough – I ordered a ceramic cat bowl that was listed as 15cm's. I was expecting a small rounded cat bowl. When I got it was shocked by how small it was, tiny like the size of a soap dish. I measured it and it was actually 13.5cm's diameter horizontally across and 10cms vertically from top to bottom, so it was tiny oblong shape, not round like the image… Read more
showed. Would not have been a problem if the size of it was correctly listed. At least it was shipped and well packaged and arrived intact. Wont buy from them again, will use it as a dish for dips.
Update: When I first purchased this bowl the only information listed was that it was 15cm's, then after posting my review, they added all the complete correct measurements to the listed product. It's good that they try and provide more information and correct things. But should've had much more information in the first place. I just assumed it was a ok size of what I was after like 13cm's all around.
Pet City VIP Club really not worth it – We have been going to Pet city for a number of years. We paid $25 per year for VIP members which gives us discounts of 15%. The problem is that we just purchased NexGard Spectra 6 pack for 30.1-60kg Dogs for $133.05 which included a discount of $23.45 making the original price $156.50. I checked on-line and found the same product for $112.48 on… Read more
Pet Circle, $108.99 on Vet Supply.com.au both with free shipping and I dont have to pay $25 per year. In addition to this Pet City have the RRP at $156.50 but everyone else has it at $144.99.
I have also found their dog food to be inconsistent in pricing. The last 3 times I purchased Royal Canin it was cheaper twice at Petbarn and Petbarn price matched the other time.
The service at the shop is fairly good but unfortunately it is let down by its pricing policies.
